Such a fun read! Jackson Clark has some phenomenal real life stories from his experiences with the Navajo people and it was fascinating to read about how life used to be. The various historical references piqued my interest as well and I'm sure to be going down a Southwest U.S. historic rabbit hole :D

Jackson brilliantly strikes a tone of humility, respect and intelligence remembering people and places in their cultural context. These stories are based out of Durango, CO and points west on the Navajo lands. There is a naked truth to his recollections, quite an achievement for any writer. A must read for durangotangs. Thank you George from Southwest Book Trader for this suggestion.

Impulse at library. Valuable history, many interesting photos, but just couldn't hold my attention.
