A paradigm shift is a sudden, major change in the way you view something, brought on by new information or a new detail that was formerly unknown. Paradigm shifts occur in every area of life, dramatically impacting everyone they touch and leaving a legacy of large-scale transformation in their path.
This book is about seven such paradigm shifts, seven major emerging changes, that will rock the world in the years and decades just ahead. If you don't already know about these seven shifts and use them in your daily leadership, you're already behind the curve. These seven new realities are remaking the world in their image. Understanding them is essential to being an effective leader.
This is one fabulous book! It will make you think about current trends in society and ponder where they're heading. I read this book in four days because I was so fascinated by it. Even though it's been almost a week since I finished it, I can't help but watch the news and see where the trends fit in.
I don't think it's available in bookstores, but I'm including a link to where it can be found. If you would use the link to purchase it, it would mean a lot to me.
If you do purchase the book, leave feedback either through Goodreads or other social media. I'd like to know if you enjoy it as much as I did.
I have several friends who are journalists. I'd be curious to see if you have the same concerns that I do about news in the Information Age. The book devotes a whole chapter to the changing concept of news and news sources.
Here is an explanation of so many of the changes in society over my lifetime. "What and Why did that happen?" It is so enlightening and give a glimpse of the future. It show me that the track I am on is the correct one. Yea. Very light enjoyable read, but it make me think too.
I have a real problem that no author or authors were willing to claim the writing and ideas contained in this book. Also, according to the book, we’re not supposed to be putting so much stock in experts…so what does it matter if a person you quote is a best-selling author? I felt like this phrase was overused for unknown authors. The ideas were interesting, but didn’t need so much space to talk about them and since COVID and the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, they need to be revisited.
