And now a rich, handsome bachelor has moved in next door. He falls in love with Jane, the oldest Bennet girl. Everything goes well—for a while. Then the handsome bachelor’s proud best friend, Mr. Darcy, ruins everything.
Elizabeth Bennet has never hated anyone as much as she hates Mr. Darcy. How could she ever forgive the man who has ruined her sister’s happiness? She knows everything she needs to know about him. He is proud, hateful, conceited, and horrid—and he wants to marry her.
Elizabeth and Darcy’s memorable, witty battle of hearts and minds has made Pride and Prejudice a readers’ favorite for almost two hundred years.

Somehow even better than the TV show or the movie.. Loved it sooo much..truly one of the best literary works of all time.. It's an essential reading and would recommend it to everyone to read at least once..Charming,delightful,funny,full of heart..
This is my second time reading this book and all I can say is that I am still in love.
“I admire all my three sons-in-law highly," said he. "Wickham, perhaps, is my favourite; but I think I shall like your husband quite as well as Jane's.”
Although the language was a bit of work to decipher, it was still very interesting. I loved the main character's spunk personality. The perspective on love was also intriguing to read for different characters, and I found myself really trying to understand the people in the book very deeply because it will help a ton with the general understanding of the meaning of the book. It was different from my usual, but I enjoyed it.
"`I cannot fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look, or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun.'' This holds a familiar ring for me. Realizing that Brad and I were "dating" before I knew we were makes me laugh. In the end, all is set aright and the happily ever after begins... Anne Creager introduced me this book and I will always connect it with her and love it all the more!
