This book is about Frederick Douglas who was a slave but then become free and abolitionist. Frederick Douglas really important in U.S history and we studied a lot in our history class Which made me want to read more about him. This book talks about his early life as a slave until the abolitionist movement to stop slavery as a freeman. The book talks about Frederick Douglas's life as an Author too which was really cool to read.
