This is a full-length, stand alone, happily-ever-after romance novel with no cliffhangers.

Jill

My kid sister has pushed me into some tough corners in the past, but asking me to come up with a hundred and twenty grand to keep her out of a Bangkok jail is flat-out crazy. What’s worse, she’s sworn me to secrecy, so I can’t ask any of my three girlfriends for help. Luckily, I’ve found a well-paying job, Husband Sitting, being paid by rich wives to sleep with their husbands so infidelity won’t lead to divorce. It’s the latest fad in marriage protection where no-one is cheating, but there’s a downside—gorgeous Finn with his gigantor…you know. I've waited my whole life to meet someone as sexy and wonderful as Finn, but it’s never going to work. Even if I didn’t have a job that made him insanely jealous, my fear of abandonment would keep getting in the way.

Thank goodness for great girlfriends, because the road to sexily-ever-after is a rocky ride!

Louise Cusack lives in Australia, in a tiny fishing village on the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef. She's a long-time vegetarian and caffeine addict with an obsession finding the tiniest shred of romance in any story and wallowing in it.

Her novels are about curious women who get themselves into unlikely situations - whether that's an everyday woman from our world falling through a portal into a sepia kingdom, an amorous mermaid who gets herself stranded on dry land, or more recently, a perfectly ordinary house-sitter who finds herself husband sitting instead! You'll have to read her recent release 'Husband Sit' to find out why...

Louise doesn't care what genre she writes in so long as the characters are endearingly real, the heroes are scorching hot and the sex is good!

“Being paid by rich wives to sleep with their husband” - why the ever loving fuck is this book on my TBR?
What drug was I on?

On second thought hero-celibate-after-meeting-heroine-not-celibate might have been the cause, but thinking this through? No, just no.

"Husband Sit" by Louise Cusack is a hot, steamy, quick read. If you enjoy reading sexy/erotic romance then you will really enjoy this book. Jill Wilson is fresh out of a relationship and needs to make money quickly in order to save her sister who is in a Bangkok jail. She finds that if she takes care of the sexual needs of men, so that their wives can fool around or just not bother, she can make good money and make it fast. Her first assignment is with a man named Finn. He is a well endowed, gentleman who seems to be falling for Jill. As she continues on her sexual quest S&M with another assignment leaves her hurting and calling Finn for assistance. It seems that Jill must learn to trust her feelings in order to move on. LOVED this story.

Louise Cusack’s new book Husband Sit is an explosion of sexiness and multi-layered emotions with just the right touch of comedy. I found Ms. Cusack’s writing to be sexy and flirtatious and her characters were different and diverse. I especially enjoyed seeing Jill grow from strength to strength as she moved past the hurdles littering her life. I deeply enjoyed this racy story and sure as hell would recommend it to romance readers who like to indulge in sinfully delicious reads where likable characters and an intriguing plot combines to give you a satisfactory ending.

Jillian drove me mad with her insecurities and misunderstandings and her tendency to always put her foot in her mouth. Finn was a pure saint compared to her... Hell, Fritha would have been perfect for him who BTW was also my favourite. He's the reason I continued reading it and it's so refreshing to see such a sweet and caring man who would face his fears for you unlike someone else here... *glares at J* The girls' friendship was another plus point, which is why I'll continue with this series, specifically Fritha's story!

First off the title alone perked my interest, I mean c'mon Husband Sit is just perfect. Jill is actually hired by wives to basically babysit their husbands while they're away and there's no surprises with anyone, the husbands are fully aware of what's going on. When Jill gets to "sit" Finn is unlike anything else, I fell for Finn right away and it just grew more and more from there. This story is so much more then the men and Jill though, we see what a strong bond she shares with her best friends. This was a great read and I will absolutely be reading more from this series. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Jill Wilson is a woman who is single after the failure of her ten year marriage that was boring sex was always dull but Jill is now in a bit of a fix her only family younger sister is stuck in Bangkok and could soon be in jail if a lot of money is not raised very soon and when she finds out about a profession that pays lots of money and entails husband sitting although against her normal catholic morals she does what a girl has to do. One thing that she must at the start not do is tell her very best friends they would have her committed :)

Little does Jill realize that her first client will change her life forever Finn has a hard time at first coming to terms with his wife hiring someone for him to have sex with but Jill grows on him with her witty banter and fun personality. Although after they part supposedly for good Finn arrives to help when Jill needs him life is full of hurdles and falling in love can sometimes be a good hurdle.

This story is hot hot and very steamy there is humour and fun and the journey is filled with ups and downs but the proposal will have you smiling if you enjoy your romances with an erotic flavour than this is one for you keep a fan handy :)

What happens when a woman over thirty with nothing to show for her ten year relationship, realizes she had nothing, no children house or for that doesn't even feel like she was in a relationship. Since she feels like everything has passed her by, a call for help from her little sister who is in trouble and not having the funds to help her, decides she needs to make money fast. How does ten thousand a week sound? That is what she will get from rich wives that want to keep their cheating husbands happy at home while they go play on vacation. So Jill Wilson starts her new career Husband sitting. Sounds like an easy plan until she meets Finn who has big green eyes and of course other big things too. This becomes a game of high and lows and Jill trying to figure if Finn may be what she was looking for all along. This is the first but truly not the last book I will read by Miss Cusack when you start you don't want to stop till the end. It is a wonderful book and you will enjoy the banter between Jill and Finn, definitely a book not to miss

I'm sorry we fell in love while cheating on your wife.

Yes that happens. While the blurb assured me of a HEA, I missed the part where the heroine prostitutes herself and has adulterous escapades with the full consent of both parties...or are they really okay with it?

This was a painful story of a woman who hurts herself because she doesn't want to hurt others but ends up doing that anyway. This is described as an erotic romance but the erotica overtook any tender feelings.

Husband Sit (Husband Series Book 1) by Louise Cusack
Jill Wilson just got out of a boring relationship that lasted 10 years too long. She is thirty something, no children, and no real home and needed to make money fast.
Jill's younger sister is soon to end up in a Bangkok jail for non-payment of hospital bills. She had gotten herself in a huge mess - boob job gone seriously wrong and needed help to pay the bills.
Jill came up with a way that she can make the money - Husband Sitting. Rich wives who will pay large sums to have a female stay in their house and keep an eye on their husband’s while they are on holiday, while they are having an affair, etc.
First job was for Finn and his wife. But that memory of Finn will stick with her for a long time. He has sexy eyes and is well endowed. The rich wife hired Jill for a month. A bonus in there also if she can lure Finn to having sex with her since the rich wife has a girlfriend and is off having sex with her.
Book is filled with steamy sex scenes and so for sure not for young readers. There are quite the bedroom and other places of hot sex!
She learns to make sure she has a lawyer checking the contracts and letting in a friend so that someone knows where she might be.
Louise Cusack knows how to write a steamy story and with multiple characters and settings.

I must admit, I thought this story sounded too wacky to be any good ... and yes, it was quirky ... but it had a depth of emotion to it that surprised me. Not only in the main couple of characters, but also in the friends surrounding them. I ended up enjoying it quit a bit. Be ready for lots of HOT sex!

Jill Wilson has just ended a 10 years relationship with a nice, boring guy when her sister Brittany gets herself into trouble and needs money desperately ... A LOT of money. Jill doesn't know what to do when she can't get a loan for it, but while talking with someone she's house sitting for, comes up with a plan. She's going to offer her services as a husband sitter. For a weekly fee, she will keep husbands "happy" at home while their wives are off on vacation.

Finn Walters is an easy going businessman, who's wife wants him to have company while she's off doing her thing. Finn is just humoring her and doesn't plan in partaking in Jill's services ... until they spend time together and the attraction starts to fly.
When her time with Finn is up and she's feeling too much, she flits from client to client trying to get him off her mind. Finn can't stop thinking about her either, and contacts her several times. Will she decide to see him? What kind of future could it bring?

Blurb:

Jill Wilson is fresh out of a ten-year relationship so boring she slept through half of it. Thirty-something, no children, no house, blah. The glamorous potential she and her three best friends shared as starry-eyed schoolgirls feels very far away, until an unlikely job appears – Husband Sitting – being paid by rich wives to keep their cheating husbands ‘happy’ at home while they skip off on vacation.

Not the sort of job a nice girl would do, but the ten thousand dollar a week paycheck is exactly what Jill needs to stop her little sister ending up in a Bangkok jail. And maybe, just maybe, the sex sounds exciting too. Unfortunately, there’s one complication: gorgeous Finn with his sexy green eyes and his gigantor… you know.

Love was definitely not in the contract, so in desperation to wipe Finn from her memory banks, Jill embarks on a bed-hopping frenzy. After all, the best way to get over one man is to sleep with another. But will Finn let her go? And as her emotional baggage arrives with an over-weight tag, can she believe in the fairytale of imperfect people ending up perfect together?

Crazy meets desperate in this erotic romp that nails the highs and licks the lows of one woman’s struggle to reach sexily-ever-after with the man of her dreams.

“I’d already been addicted to that lanky body and those cowboy hips, but seeing him buffed up was another level of Ouch, I want me some of that!”

This one to me had some really immature characters in it but at the same time, it touched on certain subjects that I personally couldn't/wouldn't relate to and the fact that Finn gave his sperm to his "cousin" so a baby could be made without his girlfriends knowledge at first pissed me off. If you are serious about someone, you certainly don't do things like that without having a discussion and both agreeing on it.

That being said, if I was in her position, I'd be extremely pissed off and disheartened by everything she went though and would of tossed the guy out. Her reaction was quite good when he told her, I think I would of been livid and flying off the handle too.

All together from reading this one and the second novel, Louise Cusack likes to touch on some touchy subjects and risks the wrath of her fans and their opinions about these subjects. She's gutsy and produces some good novels.

First off, I love the cover of the books in this new series. Second, the title is perfect for the story, exellent job. I started the read at around 8pm. As the night went on, I lost track of time. I did not want to put my kindle down. The story in itself catches your attention and as you continue reading it gets better and hotter. I loved all her characters in this story. Her friendships with her girls and her loyalty with her sister. I laughed and got hot while reading each chapter. This is a long read but because you can't put it down it seems short, hahaha! Ms. Cusack is a new Author for me and I can say I am her new fangirl. I love her writing skills. She pulls you into her story. It is like watching a movie on big screen. My new book boyfriend is Finn. Yummy!! I am looking forward to reading her next story in this series. A must read!!

Jill needs money in a bad way. So bad, she decides to prostitute herself to married men, hired by their wives. It's quick money, and Jill can still retain some of her morals, because, after all, it is the wife doing the hiring.

But when she falls in love with Finn, the husband of her first client, all bets are off.

A whirlwind romance takes off quickly, and as much as Jill tries to escape with both her dignity and self esteem, in my opinion, she looses both. She's basically letting random men steamroll her in order to pay her unappreciative sister's medical bills and forget about a married man. "The only way to get over one man is to get under another one." She surrounds herself around people full of judgement and contempt and then wonders why she has no self esteem.

And Finn, is no better.

“Let me be perfectly clear. I’m separated. I’ve filed for divorce. That will take some months to settle. But I want to date you. I want to marry you, and I want us to make children together, anywhere you want—I don’t care where we live."

Really dude? You've separated from your wife of 10 years (lover of 20) for about 5 minutes and you're already talking about marriage and babies with your mistress?? How about focus on your pending divorce first.

While the storyline was fun, the two main characters were not relatable, or even likeable. Jill was an inconsiderate, self destructible, selfish human being and Finn was a doormat. Maybe if he had more on an edge to him and didn't wear his heart on his sleeve, I might have liked him better. But the fact that he sits back and allows his wife to cheat on him and then is ready to marry another girl after ONE night of sex, is ridiculous.

3.5 stars because like I said, I DID enjoy the plot, just not the characters.

Husband Sit is one emotional roller coaster..... Jill's need to come up with a tone of money to get her sister out of a selfish situation has her workings as a well paid legal "prostitute".... Women hire Jill to babysit their husbands while they're on "holiday", hoping their husbands wont stray with unknown woman. Husband Sitting includes cooking, entertaining and all kinds of sexual acts anytime of day and night..... Hilarious! What's not hilarious is falling in love with one of the husbands. Finn's wife hires Jill to have an affair with him out of guilt because she's been having an affair her self for the past three years with a woman. There is only so much restraint Finn can handle, not wanting to be unfaithful to his wife. Having a beautiful and sexy woman around trying her best to get him in bed turns up the heat for Finn. And boy do things HOT! That's where their unprecedented love story begins!!!!

I found Husband Sit to be full of humor, but lots of the humor was based on sexual content in the plot. I like books that give a good laugh and I don't mind using sexual situations to give me a laugh. Husband Sit was more than a novel about sex as it addressed how young people today face emotional situations about how they were raised, how they relate to each other and how they develop trust in relationships. The main characters are true to the personalities that the author gives them, which first adds to some of the humor but also makes the plot more interesting. The crazy situations start at the first page and continue to the end of the story with a unique happy ending. I enjoyed the book but realize it is not a 'G' rated novel.

Jill has no other family apart from her sister, so when little sis comes crying Jill jumps to her rescue. In desperate need of a large sum of money, to stop her sister ending up in a Bangkok jail. What is she going to do?
Jill doesnt want to ask her friends for money. Besides her sister will kill her if anyone finds out she got a boob job.
Recently out of a ten year snooze fest of a relationship. With no career to speak of or a place to live. Jill has been house sitting for people While they go away. While waiting for a taxi the owner of her current house sit, suggested she should husband sit. Its easy money.
Rich wives who will pay large sums to have a female stay in their house and keep an eye on their husband’s while they are on holiday, or off having illicit affairs.
Jill goes off to meet her first couple Finn and Katinka. Finn catergorically states he does not want to cheat on his wife. Even though its clear the chemistry is off the charts between them.Jill gets all upset and runs off, in her haste to leave dropping her car keys in the pond.
At this point in the book i questioned whether Jill could really handle a job like this.
As the husband sit goes on, feelings start to grow. Finn is a good guy he never wanted to cheat on his wife. Even though he knew she was cheating on him. He forgave her because it was a woman.
When they finally give in to tempation, he feels so bad he has to get out the house.Only arriving back home, hours later with his wife in tow.
Katinka has fallen out with her girlfriend and doesnt want Jill to sleep with Finn anymore.
With the deed done Jill feigns sleep and waits till everyone is asleep so she can escape.
When her time with Finn is up and she's feeling too much, she flits from client to client trying to get him off her mind. Finn can't stop thinking about her either, and contacts her several times. She ignores him till she is in serious trouble and needs help.
One of her husbands is into some serious bondage and very demanding. He goes to work leaving her locked in the apartment.
Scared of whats to come, Jill calls Finn and he arranges for a lock smith to let her out. And flies out to meet her.
Jill did annoy me a few times. She expects honesty from him. Yet cant be honest herself. He has told her he hates her husband sitting yet she deliberately goads him about it. Especially annoying when she is jealous of any female he comes into contact with. Even her friends.
I did enjoy the friendship Jill had with her friends. Even though they were going through problems themselves , they still took time to help.
It takes a while for Jill to learn to trust her feelings and take that leap of faith. Then she gets her happy ending.
I received this book for free. In exchange for an honest review.

I read the third book in this series first, because the editor asked me if I'd read and review it prior to release, which I was happy to do. She also sent me the first two books, in the hope I'd do the same for them when I had time. Ergo, I just read this one.

Okay, there were some things I really liked about this book, and some things I really disliked. First the thumbs-down stuff. There were enough F-bombs dropped in this book to carpet an entire continent. A slight exaggeration perhaps, but there are a LOT of 'em... also some other words I consider to be vulgar and offensive. In my opinion, a sexy scene doesn't have to use vulgar terms to be titillating. In fact, I generally find them to have the opposite effect, but that could just be me. Some of the sex scenes were total turn-offs, too. Yeah, I know, many people may enjoy butt-whippings, dildos, and back door entries, but um, I don't happen to be one of them. However, I do appreciate that this, again, is purely a personal preference. One person's turn-on is another person's ain't-no-way.

Now, the good. The author is a talented writer, and she's created some very realistic characters. One of the strongest parts of the book is the deep abiding friendship between Jill and her three long-time gal pals, no matter what boneheaded thing one of them might do. Finn, Jill's first "husband-sitting client," is a delight, and a hero most readers will enjoy getting to know. There's also a dash of humor in the book, which is always a huge plus for me. The whole premise of women hiring another woman to "take care of" their husbands seemed a little far-fetched, but I was willing to suspend disbelief, even if I did question Jill's enthusiastic participation in things that were allegedly outside of her comfort zone. Still, it was an okay read, although I found the ending to be rather abrupt.

Bottom line? Although the language and some scenes were outside my comfort level, the book itself was okay. Those who usually read books like this will undoubtedly love it.

Godawful and boring as heck. Jill was very immature, self absorbed, and shallow. And why on Earth would she sell herself in that way in order to help her bratty and ungrateful younger, but grown woman sister. Her sister would be paying for own mistakes. Enabling her stupid sister while having no life of her own. Finn was just too passive. I just couldn't go finish this monstrosity.

There was something about this book that kept me reading until the end. It was slow so it was a bit of a chore to get there but I did it and overall the story flowed well. There were many good elements - solid friendships, the courage to move away from a comfortable but boring long term relationship, strong characters. The book is quite wordy and there is so much back and forth on again, off again drama between Jill and Finn that it was difficult to enjoy the journey. It felt more like watching a lifetime movie about girlfriends than reading a contemporary romance. 3.5 stars.

Had me at the title

Read the title an just had to find out more.

Surprisingly really enjoyed this book. I thought hey that sounds like something I've never read before.
She needed a lot of money fast an limited options when she went from pet sitting to husband sitting.
Obviously one was a big winner for her but can with more complications an feelings she wasn't ready for. She sat for many "husbands" and each one she learned a little more.
Friends, secrets, men, sex a little danger.

Where do I begin? I wish I could give more than 3 stars but I feel like there were something's in this story that were left unanswered. I just have mixed feelings about this book and I don't know where to begin. It may or may not be your cup of tea. I am interested in the other girl characters stories though.

Jill was doing just fine in her little world...until her very flighty sister, her only living family left, calls from a hospital in Bangkok of all places and cries SOS, in financial straits after a botched-up boob job and a very real threat of jail time if she doesn't pay her bill. Jill was in no position herself to help until a sly suggestion from an acquaintance to "husband sit" takes flight in her head. This would be an opportunity for women who needed someone to "step in" for them (particularly in the bedroom) when they couldn't be there for their men themselves. Interesting premise for a story, indeed.

Marital circumstances prompted Finn's wife to call Jill in to husband sit. Luckily for Jill, she was instantly attracted to him, and it was no hardship to do what she was hired for. He was a real tough nut to crack, but just after they had a "breakthrough", his wife returns and cancels the contract. She then moves on, unwillingly and with difficulty, to her next husband-sitting job, but ends up calling Finn for help to get her out of a very difficult & sticky situation. Time and time again, Finn shows up in her life when she needs him most, but inevitably ends up pushing him away, until one day, she realizes she truly loves him and that it was now too late. Many twists and turns occur in this story that complicate things, of course, but they round everything and everyone out.

For me, this was perfectly balanced and refreshing storytelling with just-right pinches of wittiness, charm, sassiness, delivered in a sexy, hot, and ultimately sweet read. Both Jill and Finn had hearts of gold, and other interesting characters in this story were described that I definitely intend to follow up on!
