The Good
-Kindle Unlimited
-Good setup with characters and the romance. I liked James and Daisy individually and I was interested in their lives as well as their romance. James is a pro football player, where it’s hinted, he has always enjoyed the company of a BBW but it’s not expected of him, so he sleeps and has shallow connections with, women with the perceived “right” image. Daisy is not shy and riddled with insecurities. She dresses with confidence, she goes for what she wants and she is focused on her career. Their interview scenes are cute, there’s good chemistry and then….

The Not So Good
-LIttle follow through. Nothing much really comes of their relationship and they spend alot of time on their own. If a rec was just based on setup, I would recommend this. There was so much potential meat on these bones, something to sink your teeth into with this romance, and yet it’s barely developed. I understand the length wasn’t designed for alot of in-depth analysis, but the potential for it is there and I was sad to see that it didn’t live up to it.

-Abrupt and matter of fact ending. I wanted to see a bit more of James and Daisy in an actual relationship, where you could see them navigate the potential obstacles of their careers, other people’s reactions to an unconventional pairing, just interact more, but it kind of just...stops. There wasn’t even a real memorable last line. It felt like an incomplete scene.

-**SPOILER-ISH** If that’s not your thing, look away now. If you keep reading, you’ve been warned. I would not consider this a “safe read,” but within my boundaries. If you are the type of reader who wants no OW/OM contact in any way, shape or form, and cannot tolerate the jealousy trope being used to push story along, this is not for you. There is other contact with other people by both Daisy and James. At the beginning of the book James is post-meaningless hookup. James also, in an attempt to move on from Daisy calls that hookup back and tries to, but fails to do anything because he's into Daisy. Daisy also kisses her editor, but nothing comes of it because of her feelings for James, but the characters aren’t in a relationship at the time, both of them do it and ultimately, it didn’t bother me so much that I had to put the book aside. I didn’t love it, but considering it was early on, it was by both of them and there was a point to it all, I could live with it.

I wanted to love this so much and there’s some good potential, but it never really gels for me, so it’s only an ok read. I will keep an eye out for more from this author, because yeah I loved her setup for a BBW romance, if not the execution.

Cute story, ending left a little to be desired.

This was a cute story, but I was a little disappointed in the ending. I have to admit I looked at my Kindle and said, "that's where this ends." There was quite a bit of great storyline building up to a lack luster ending. The book could have gone a little further to give it a proper ending.

I love this book! It was sweet. No nonsense! Indeed, the male character was a manwhore. But heylooo? If you are a sexy as sin, hot as hell, rich, gorgeously good looking guy, you cannot not be a manwhore 'cause obviously, girls, woman, female, even male will fall for you! Yeah, you have all the rights to be a manwhore!
And Daisy was his bang! I love BBW heroine and the sexy hero ;) The plot itself was nice. I love how confident Daisy towards her body. Her nonsense personality will not let her down just because what other saw of her. And she did not praise every steps he take. Yeah, someone has try to bring back him to earth ;) He can't be floating forever, right? LOL. I love this book cz it was sweet and simple and sexy and very merry yummy

I got this because it was free on Kindle but I'm probably not going to finish reading it.

The opening scene consists of him watching an OW, an "Andrea Something-or-other," get dressed the morning after. Yeah...not into romance books having scenes with OWs.

He's also a manwhore.

It wasn’t that he didn’t know he had a reputation. It was just that he didn’t think it was that bad. Sure he slept around. Why wouldn’t he? He was single, he was hot, he was a shoo-in for MVP, and he didn’t make any promises. Lots of girls wanted in on that, and he was only too happy to cut them a share.

Amazing

I liked the speed and the intimacy of the story. Just wish there was more books like this one. A+
