I recently checked out a huge stack of needlework books, and of all of them, this is the only one that's now on my purchase list. Each section is practical and the designs are easy and beautiful. I love the picture of her tiny studio, too - it's nice to know that someone so accomplished works out of a small, yet cozy space. Needleworkers at the beginner (and perhaps intermediate) level will likely love this book.

Loved this book. She does a fantastic job talking about materials and showing you stitches. One of the best visuals about stitches in a book I have seen plus she discusses some uncommon stitches.

I highly recommend this fun book to experienced or newbies who enjoy embroidery.

This book provides inspiration for combining fabric and embroidery stitches . It includes instructions for making different embroidery stitches, a primer on different embroidery thread, patterns, and a list of resources.

This is less focused on stitches than some although it has a good beginning set and the instructions felt really followable. But I loved the idea of mixing embroidery with fabrics and creating new pieces. I’ll definitely want to check this out again when I get a bit further in my skill set.
