Kristina Langston had never been happier. After recommitting her life to God and reconnecting with her first love, she was ready to live the “more abundant” life she’d read about.
Then, in an instant, everything changed.
Instead of looking forward to a summer of getting to know and love her newfound family, she finds herself rushing into an overcrowded emergency room, in search of the people she loves most.
In this, the final installment of the Langston Saga, the family is faced with their greatest obstacles yet. Before it’s all said and done, they’ll make choices they never imagined they would and say goodbye to loved ones they never expected to lose.
But in the face of so much tragedy and loss, will they be able to keep the faith? And even if they can, will it be enough?
The conclusion to the Langston Family Saga was everything I hoped it would be and then some. Only a few books have made me cry real tears, and this one has joined the list.
OMG! I can't believe this book. It filled me with all types of feelings. I laughed, I cried, and I even wanted to pray for this family. LaShonda wrote this final book with such passion it felt real. I really thought there was no hope for Xavier or Tamia. This book made me believe in miracles again. I am glad they were able to rekindle the love for their father and found out what really happened to him. A girl needs her father at any age. I miss mine terribly. This was a great series. I am looking forward to Nobody's Child to read the secrets Robin is hiding.
Lord..........Miss LaShonda Bowman is a Vessel, that God is using through her Uplifting, Soul-stirring, Devotional messages a.k.a. Books!👏👏👏👏👏 This series, IS a True Testament to God's Faithfulness AND Unchanging Hands.......this was a BLESSING and I Appreciate reading such a Life-changing story!😘😘😘😘 If you are not a Believer, I PROMISE you-'The Langston Family Saga' 3 book series will Make you a BELIEVER!👊💯 EXCELLENT, AWESOME & AMAZING Work!🙏
By the time I got to the final book in the trilogy I was so invested in each characters story line I immediately found myself needing to get to the next chapter. I also found myself on the verge of tears several times but a smile took over towards the end. LaShonda Bowman " I'm A Fan"
This was an excellent way to end the story of the sisters. The author left no rock unturned in this book. If you never had faith or if it was weak you will sure to gain and strength it. I love the way she incorporated scriptures and broke the meaning down in this book. As always this is a must read!
I LOVED EVERY SECOND WITH THE LANGSTON SISTER'S ... FAITH WAS TRULY TESTED THIS GO AROUND IN THE END EVERY SINGLE THING WORKED OUT ... LOVE THE END RELATIONSHIP WITH THEIR DAD... I LOVE ME SOME RUSSELL HE MIGHT HAVE SOME OL SKOOL WAYS BUT HE WAS STILL THE MAN THE ONE THE LORD HAD FOR TAM... PAM WAS STRONG SO LONG COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND WHY SHE HAD TO LAY IT ALL DOWN...
This book was so hard to read, I could not stop crying and praying. Very well written, loved the suspense and the story line. I was praying the whole time for X and Tam to make it through.
What a powerful message on faith, hope and miracle s. If anyone have ever given up and think there is no way out; then I say read all three books. My soul have been lifted. Thank you.
LOVED this series! It was an easy read, and I read the series this week while waiting on another book I have on hold to be released. I was captivated from the very beginning. I would definitely recommend.
All three books in this series were GREAT, and each book was even better than the last. I zipped through the last two books in one sitting. I could not put them down. LaShonda Bowman is an EXCELLENT writer!
I did not want the book or story line to end. I hope there is a book 4 since Kissy is expecting and Tamia is getting married. The message in the story was phenomenally written I definitely highlighted so things to refer back to. Great job.
This book had me on the age it was lifting and broke me into tears at the same time. Not to spoil it but this was a perfect example of what the power of prayer can do. I really enjoyed reading the Langston sister’s story.
This was my favorite of the series simply because The Langston Sisters truly saw beauty for their ashes. Just when I thought the book was ending one way, it took a turn ❤️
When I started this book I didn't think it would be impossible for me to put it down. I literally read this book from start to finish non stop. Read this trilogy there will be a character if not multiple you connect with. A very inspiring book to be a work of fiction. Thank you for writing this series. On to the next!
This book is one of three in a series that I have decided to review together. I usually do not do this but and I am often annoyed with series that compel you to immediately secure the next installment. However, in this case I am recommending that while the books could possibly stand alone, you will want to read all three. He Restores My Souls, This Sings My Soul and My Soul is Satisfied together present a well written story about a family of three sisters moving from a difficult childhood into the spotlight of fame (Book 1). The book opens at the funeral of their sainted mother to most people but a woman remembered as childhood terror to them. Each sister has coped with her past and the memories of their mother in a different way. Yet through it all they have supported each other in ways that will touch the heart of the reader. From that past emerges a startling secret that changes their lives and forces them to reconsider the ways they have coped in the past (book 2). Their is hope for recovery and a force that compels them to reexamine their view of their mother. But it is difficult to let go of long held anger. Tragedy forces the matter in the final book which is a moving view of family, the power of faith and fragility of forgiveness. This is a Christian series unlike many that I have read that are a little too heavy handed for my enjoyment. This series carefully weaves Christian wisdom, the language of faith-filled people and miracles into a well written narrative.
I have not read this author before but I will read and recommend her to my reading friends. This is a good book club series.
This was the best of the three Langston Family Saga books. There were more characters but they were well developed. Questions from the two previous books were finally answered. All loose ends were tied up.
The characters were just like family members and church members. Some you loved. Some you prayed more for and lifted them higher to God for He alone could help them. Some accepted all that God had for them while others almost gave up before trusting God completely. Xavier was the love of everyone's lives. They all needed him and he was so loving because he had been so loved, especially by his grandmother, Mahalia. Hopefully, he was proof of her repentance and forgiveness.
I could have kept reading. In spite of this being a re-read, it kept me holding my breath. I loved all of the characters except Marisa, Chloe's mother, and could barely stand Brock, Omar's best friend and Chloe's godfather. Chloe was blessed to have Kristina and her family to be a part of her life for she truly needed them with a mother like Marisa and a godfather like Brock. Hopefully, they will never play any part of her life. Still, she has a loving family to lean on whenever necessary.
As previously stated, this was the best and most satisfying of the Langston Family Saga.
Life changing message! You gotta read this series!!!
This quote from this book sums of its entirety..."Her Father was the ocean-splitting, storm-calming, life-giving Creator of the universe and He loved her." This was the message of this story! When you know Who you belong to, it makes storms & difficult situations easier. Wonderful job LaShonda Bowman! My weekend was so enjoyable because of these beautiful stories & characters! My heart & mind have been thoroughly encouraged:-)
I love a story with a good ending. Though there were many trials and tribulations for each character they were able to, once they got there, depend on God to see them through. I hate to repeat/ mimic what I've heard in the church and amongst church people but did He not show up and show out! How else could 3 little girls have such a horrible childhood (I've read all 3 books) and have a fairy tale ending.
I look forward to reading New Life Tabernacle Series.
