Idk it could have been wayyyyy shorter. The dude had good character development which is saying a lot. Idk there is a lot of times where stuff happens and you are like huh??? Cause it's weird and idk I guess it just doesn't fit the book or characters. You can skip chapters and not miss out on anything.

This book feels like a draft, or a precursor to 服不服. The essential concept is the same, except it feels like the author didn't know enough about the investment banking industry at the time of writing, so they focused more on the romance line instead.

What really made 服不服 stand out to me is that for once, I feel like the main characters are actually working in investment banking instead of being told the longer equivalent of "they went to a bank and did banker-y things and then left work to continue the main storyline".

In addition to that, it feels like the author left out a part of the story concerning 钱菲's character development. I know the beginning: she's too 圣母. I know the end: she becomes a strong successful woman with her own temper. But where is the process? Where is the internal struggle? Where is the slow progression as she actively reminds herself not to act so 圣母??
That said, this book was still entertaining to read, and the couple are super cute together.

看了42章放弃。
在晋江推荐位看到它，因为对投行生活好奇？就随便看看。随便搜了一下看到Goodreads还有条目就觉得还蛮神奇的。
这个风格真的好传统网络言情哎……暴露了我几百年没看过这一类的事实。
小说里给女主安的“女汉子”人设，带着的偏贬义立场，看得我好难受。男主也基本是让我在不断翻白眼吧。听说后文里两位主角都会有很明显的进步，但我觉得它没法让我坚持下去了。
不过这本书是我难得看到的建立在真实地理背景上的网络小说。当我看到主角去“雍和宫旁的”糖果KTV之后跑去隔壁金鼎轩的情节，难以自制地想到了之前去miflo con的经历……就有种怪怪的感觉（。
