God!they are so damn cute!!!there should be more couples like this in the yaoi world, sweet and romantic and not only based on angst and sex. I would be happy to read more chapters about them.

I'd been dancing around this for a while, and now that it was listed on "Kono BL ga yabai" I figured I'd give it a try. And I'm so glad I did! Reading this really cheered me up. Super cute and 100% lovely and romantic.

Un BL muy bonito. La historia de los protas avanza sin prisas y es lo que más me ha gustado. No es de esos de "Me gustas" "Tú a mi también" y escena de cama. Lo único que me chirría un poco es la diferencia de edad: uno tiene 26 y el otro está en secundaria...

This is a great starter yaoi, IMO. It's very cute, very light and (yeah, SPOILER) has a very happy ending. The smut is short and vanilla, but the romance is stretched thick throughout the entire story. Also: the sex is 100% consensual. None of that "stop? I cant stop I'm overcome by lust deal with it also this is your first time doing anal but here is my full length, up your butt, right now aaahhwww yisss this is pure bliss"
But! I'm a bitter, bitter woman, ruined by fifteen years of sleuthing the internet for dick-on-dick action, and Yamada just didn't "do" it for me. The drawing style is a bit too crude, the age difference (about ten years, with the uke around 17-yo) creeped me out and I wanted more/longer smutty scenes.
I wanted to rate it three stars, but the fully consensual sex is such a rare and welcome thing to see in the yaoi manga scene, that I had to give it another star just for that.
and now it's time for a nap.

La historia me ha gustado, pero no he congeniado tanto con los personajes como en Our dining table. Y la diferencia de edad entre los personajes y que el menor siga en el instituto me ha echado un poco para atrás. Por lo demás es una historia de amistad que va a más, una relación que evoluciona.

Yamada and the Boy is a story about a high schooler developing a crush on a 26 years old and the inappropriate, gross relationship that still takes place between the two of them. Of course, the story itself doesn't portray their relationship as wrong or predatory, the author actually takes the time that they like age gap stories with high schoolers...I was so uncomfortable reading as the relationship progressed and at no point it there even an attempt to slow things down and point out the issue in the situation, it even progresses to them having sex which is statutory rape.
There absolutely exists age gap stories that have self awareness, such at Living Room Matsunaga-san, where both people express interest in the other but the age gap creates issues and discomfort and the older party doesn't not want things to progress due to the age of the other person. It's not perfect but it's definitely better than a grown ass man pursuing a high schooler who clearly is struggling with self acceptance and is seeking an older party due to various issues.
Anyways, don't read this, it's gross.

Very sweet and wholesome as is the Ori Mita fashion.
This is an age gap romance between a high school student and a 26 year old guy. I personally don't love age gaps with high school students. I'd rather it be a college student, but it is what it is. Yamada and Chihiro meet when Yamada is walking home one night and hears crying coming from a bush. There he finds Chihiro crying and drunk. Unsure what to do Yamada takes him home and basically takes care of him until he sobers up. The next morning Chihiro cooks for him as a thank you and asks if he can come again to continue to repay him for helping. Then it goes from there. The romance was really cute and I liked seeing them get closer. Honestly reading this just really made me miss Our Dining Table also by Ori Mita. I might have to reread that soon.
It's just a really sweet and wholesome read with a touch of sadness. I liked it a lot.

I really love this one!!! I'm not into the age difference plots but this one is SO CUTE!!
Yama is 26 and found this high school but drunk in the Street, he help him and found that the guy is gay and has his heart broken.
They start to hang aout together and is really cute and funny to read all Yamada's thoughs and how he's fallen slowly :D

This was so cute!!! Despite being slow-paced and very slice of life, I never got bored with this one. I loved the interactions between Yamada and Chihiro so much. It was so sweet and open. I also really love the drawing style!

Muy bonito, y sin una diferencia de edad exagerada! (difícil de encontrar eso). Tira un poco del cliché de chico "hetero" se acaba enamorando de chico gay/bi y usa la comida como elemento conductor en la trama, pero bueno dentro de eso tiene elementos originales. He contado una sola escena explícita y muy light así que bueno eso bien también, significa que la autora confía en su trama y sus personajes lo suficiente como para que sean ellos los que te mantengan en la historia, y no las escenas de desnudo random.
Me estoy acordando de que "Our Dining Table" también es de Mita Ori y me gustó mucho, Habrá que investigar a ver qué más ha escrito esta mujer :)

This was an absolutely adorable Yaoi manga. While it does tend to follow the stereotypical Yaoi manga (straight guy going gay or bi for a specific male), I absolutely loved the characters. I can’t tell you who I liked more Chihiro or Yomada! Not only that I liked that this manga was more focused on the relationship build than jumping into the angst and sex like most Yaoi manga I have come across.
In fact, I would say this Yaoi manga is the most tame that I have personally come across. All in all I loved this manga and I really wish it was in physical copy rather than just digital!

So. Cute! I’m not the biggest fan of age-gap romances, but this manga was adorable. I really enjoyed it. My only misgiving with it was the sex scene at the end that seemed a bit too out of character for the couple; I wouldn’t have minded if we had just had PG content for the duration of the manga.

Un BL cuqui, bastant vainilla entre un estudiant d'institut que acaba de descobrir que és gai i un jove que se'l troba begut al carrer i li ofereix aixopluc. La relació avança d'una manera força natural, llevat del moment en què fan el pas (perquè hi ha una el·lipsi i no s'acaba d'entendre). Les il·lustracions són molt maques, però la història no li acaba de fer justícia.

Me encantó todo en verdad, el dibujo, la historia, la relación entre ellos. Es una historia bastante simple si te apetece también desconectar y pasar el rato.
El único inconveniente que le vería sería la diferencia de edad entre los protas, pero no la veo mal desarrollada.
Ojalá saber más de ellos. Se queda corto cuando te gusta tanto un volumen.

Yamada encuentra a Chihiro un estudiante que está un poco tomado y por no dejarlo en la nieve decide llevárselo a su casa. Al día siguiente Chihiro le agradece y le cuenta su situación, ha estado enamorado de su amigo pero este ahora tiene novio h esto lo ha destrozado, la confesión sorprende a Yamada pero aún así acepta que Chihiro regrese a su hogar.
Comienzan a convivir y Yamada nota ciertas actitudes extrañas en Chihiro y sospecha que los sentimientos ahora van hacia él y cuando despeja su duda lo único que logra es que Chihiro se aleje de él pero esto es lo que necesitaba Yamada para despejar su mente
Es una historia muy linda, estas que son muy soft son de las historias que en ciertas ocasiones son necesarias

In Yamada to Shounen, Yamada a twenty-six-year-old labourer, on his way back from work Christmas night, discovers a drunk and crying high school student, Chihiro, lying on the ground. In the spur of the moment, he takes Chihiro home. Chihiro’s upset because he’s in love with someone of the same-sex. What makes this slow burn romance, so “nice” is the lack of rape, forced feelings and the usual bullshit found in many yaoi. Yamada is straight, and he’s the most endearing out of the pair as he gradually falls in love with Chihiro. And he isn’t the usual seme; Yamada is a very patient and sweet man.

no lo encuentro malo pero el age gap es de por lo menos ocho, nueve años, con un menor.
el arte y construcción de la historia son bonitas, pero también estoy chate del típico gay guy goes after allegedly straigh guy. creo que se nota demasiado que está dirigido a una audiencia de chicas que romantizan (y cosifican) las relaciones mlm/queer/bl/homosexuales con mucha ternura y magia.
"yamada is it okay for you to be dating chihiro?" no, hes a minor, huge age gap.

A very nice and quick read. I loved how the relationship between the 2 developed. The characters were cute and likable. And I loved the ending. Very nice, and very them.
