I read this as part of an 8 book bundle entitled My Wife is Taken. The storyline interested me as it was more than Auction, Date, Assignation; there was a story and I didn’t know where it was going. Similar to the previous book I’d read by this author — My Wife, His Toy — the book was fast paced. And there were fewer typos than the previous read; about 1 every 3 pages.

In reviewing this book, I’m trying to balance the story and the author’s writing ability against what I perceive as a story degrading the wife and indeed all women. In the previous book, there was a reason for the wife stepping out on the marriage, it was consensual. In this case, powerful men just imposed upon her and took her.

In the era of #MeToo, I fail to understand why women (assuming Emilia Steele is a woman) write books that glorify powerful men imposing their will on women. In this case it was “expected” that she would “go along”, and she did. It just perpetuates a myth against women. And in this instance, as with most in real life, there were no consequences for the men.

A Great Read!

I Liked reading The Auction (A Wife Sharing Novella), all about Emily a young married Secretary who is auctioned off for her company's Wildlife Charity Event. She works for a law firm and they have many prestige so clients including a future visionary named Logan Hunt. He's hot and the youngest billionaire the firm has. The night of the charity event Emily is dressed in a beautiful gown, brought out on stage with a huge white spotlight on her. When the bidding started she was $1000 in the end she sold for $100,000.00 to Logan Hunt. She was nervous but her husband Nathan was thrilled, because he couldn't wait to get an introduction to meet his idol! The author wrote a very interesting story, and the characters brought said story to life! If you like hot and steamy stories that leave you very wet then this story is for you! There's also a bonus story included that will get your engine roaring as well!
