Horse is one of the first non-wolf shifters to be patched into the RTMC after the rule change. He’s a Grizzly Bear, and his old pawnshop has become the MC’s new gun store in a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Gabby is a rabbit shifter with a complicated history. Rabbits live in Faerie, but her parents chose to escape to the human realm so they could be together. Tragedy struck twice though, and she was taken to The Summerlands at fourteen to be raised by extended family. She’s grown now and has chosen to come back, even though it means she’s alone in this world.

Bears are loners who are used to getting their way. Rabbits are sexual, social creatures who need a wide variety of partners in their lives if they go outside their own species.

And Gabby’s past is on a trajectory to keep her from the future she wants.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Candace Blevins writes urban fantasy, paranormal romance, epic fantasy contemporary BDSM romance, and two kick-ass motorcycle club series. She’s published more than fifty books. Candace lives with her husband of twenty-four years and their two teenaged daughters. The family’s beloved, goofy, retired racing greyhounds are usually at her side as she writes, quietly keeping her company. Or sometimes not so quietly.

Her urban fantasy series, Only Human, gives us a world where weredragons, werewolves, werelions, three different species of vampires, and a variety of other mythological beings exist.

Candace's various paranormal romance series are all sister series to the Only Human series, and give some secondary characters their happily ever after.

Her Dark(ish) Faerie Tale series gives us a close-up and personal look at Queen Mab, and her Dark Underbelly series is, as you’d expect, dark and (if you’re a little twisted) oh-so-yummy.

Her contemporary Safeword series gives us characters who happen to have some extreme kinks. Relationships can be difficult enough without throwing power exchange into the mix, and her books show characters who care enough about each other to fight to make the relationship work. Each couple in the Safeword series gives the reader a different take on the lifestyle.

I have been waiting for this book ever since it was announced there would be a bunny shifter. Why? Because I am born in the year of the rabbit and I am partial towards anything bunny. With great excitement, I read this book even when my family decided to drop by. (I rudely kept reading my kindle whilst we waiting for the waitstaff to serve our meal, instead of talking to my family.)

Gabby is a bunny shifter who is rare because not only does she live in the human world, but she was born in human form. Apparently, in Ms. Blevins' world, bunny shifters are designed for sex. Rabbits are sexual beings? What? No. We are cute, fluffy little balls of joy.

But seriously, in this world, bunny bodies shifts to handle pretty much any size object in their holes. Anal sex with them is a treat because it is like popping a cherry every time. Oh my goodness I can not believe there is not more sexy shenanigans with bunny debauchery in this story. Ms. Blevins keeps it surprisingly tame except for the tiny little glimpse into Fairyland. Can't have a book without some sadistic sexual torture, can we, Ms. Blevins?

Now, this book is so much more than fucking like bunnies. (Even though that is a very tasty part.) Ms. Blevins is slowing building up her army of good versus evil. Horse and Gabby will be a big part of this. Horse is a bear shifter who is a perfect match for Gabby. Their sexual swinging preferences match. And Horse's protectiveness is just what timid Gabby needs. He literally provides her with strength to help her mature and become more confident. This growth in Gabby through the story is so good. I loved seeing from her perspective. She turns the horror of her life into something she can handle. She is determined and just so adorable. The way these characters interact make me want to re-read scenes over and over again.

What is also attractive about this book is the supportive supernatural community. Previous characters from the earlier books make an appearance. Some of my favourite and not so favourite characters show up. Surprisingly, Nathan, the Lion King (*snicker*) comes across as a very good guy. Nathan's treatment towards Gabby makes me all melty and gooey inside. This is a shock to me because I kind of hate Nathan. I do not like how he treated many of the females in this series and the Kirsten O'Shea series. Still, Nathan's interaction with Gaby is erotic and protective. No one can resist a bunny tail.

I highly recommend this book. It is a nice lengthy book which ends all too quickly. This book can be read as a standalone but it is so much better if one reads all the previous books. Recommended for PNR lovers who like different animal shifters, kink and motorcycle men.

I adore Candace and have since her Safeword series, now with the RTMC just more for me to love. Her love and talent for writing just shows through.

Horse not a an actual horse but a nickname for a bear shifter. (Gotta love ‘em bears) Horse now being RTMC has a “family” btw Bears like to stay to themselves kinda and yeah just not going to happen. *smiles* Horse is just a big ole bear. I just fell in love with Horse.

Now Gabby a bunny, yes a bunny, she kind of reminded me of a flower child in the 60’s free sex and lots of it Visualize a bunny getting her freak on and and have adaptable ... bodies. *giggles*. Gabby has had some sad in her life, was moved away from home at one point but now is back. Things just may not work out for her, up until she meets horse.

Now I love reading on going series especially when we get to see cameo’s from prior characters. I be like oh oh, I remember him, or her. Candace does great tie ins. Decent in length a full novel, easy read. Wonderful characters. Great addition to the series.

Kitty's review posted at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

Well, Horse surprised me. I knew that it was going to be Vanilla, not the usual hardcore story that Candace writes, but, this truly was Vanilla. And, it was just as enjoyable and hot as any other book that she has written. But, Candace Blevins has such a way with words, with telling a story that she could probably write a children’s bedtime story and I’d read it.

Horse and Gabby were an interesting couple. A grizzly bear and a rabbit. Really? But, it worked, especially since rabbits are made to take any shape, length or girth in any orifice at any given time. Wasn’t Horse a lucky man? Wasn’t the Lion King, Nathan a happy man? Wasn’t the horse shifter, Lou happy? The only lover she doesn’t have is a wolf shifter. And there are reasons for that … first being her past and second being that she could never sleep with someone from the RTMC. By the way, rabbits need multiple lovers to satisfy their libido.

So, you’re asking yourself … shouldn’t Horse be jealous? Nope, he has no problem with it. First of all, he understands that this is what she needs to be fulfilled and second, bears are usually loners and not the jealous type. He has his fun too. Awww, true love at its best.

But, there was also a serious side to this love story … Gabby’s past. Who she really is, who she could become if she so chooses. It’s a horrific past that she does not want anyone to know about. Thanks to Aaron and Sophia, she’s able to go forward and try to live a normal life. She’s also able to get closure and find out the truth. Now, with Horse standing by her side, she’s stronger, safer and couldn’t be happier.

Again, Candace gave us a different look inside the RTMC. Even though it’s a story that isn’t as rough and tumble as the others, it was truly enjoyable. It was a little bit lighter than Bash but just as exciting. It was quick, fun in places and serious in others. She again got us totally engaged with her characters and made us a part of their lives. I love that she incorporates old characters and keeps us updated on what is going on their lives … it ties the stories together and lets us see other sides of them that me may not have seen in prior stories. Now, I have no idea when or if she is planning on it, but, I really, really need an HEA for Nathan. The Lion King definitely deserves Hakuna Matata (no worries) especially after the small glimpse that she gave us into his psyche.

This is such a great series, not only is it about a Motorcycle Club but it's a paranormal MC Club...does it get any better then that?!?
Horse is a bear shifter and Gabby is a rabbit shifter and they are so different from one another in human form not only their shifter forms. When Gabby walks into Horse's gun shop looking to purchase a gun for protection Horse knows he wants to help this pint-sized looker with more then just her purchase. *wink* *wink*
Gabby is on the run and trying to hide her true identity from everyone including Horse but the more she fights whats happening the more she realizes that she needs to let him in on her secret. Horse on the other hand is part of the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club which is mostly made up of wolf shifters which is the exact shifter species that has Gabby on edge, so he needs to figure out a way for his brothers to be around his bunny.
This series is so much fun, each of the couples adds more to the club as a whole and I look forward to reading Nix and Tippy's story which is up next.

This is the latest in Candace Blevins' MC shifter series. I have to admit that I had never read either MC or shifter books before this series, but these have me hooked. Most of the Rolling Thunder MC are werewolves, but Horse is a bear. His nickname? You guessed it. So it's great that his new love is a rabbit, Gabby - sexy as hell and, um, able to physically conform to her partner.
As with all of Candace's books, there is plenty of sex, but there is also a real story going on, and a sweet romance is part of it. Gabby has a hidden past she is trying to escape from, and Horse is there to help her. Each of the shifter species has its own characteristics that also show up in the human form, and it is all (strangely) believable.
Ms Blevins' female characters are all strong, independent women, and the conflict in this story is external to the relationship. I really dislike the 'I'm not worthy' heroine, and there is none of that here. Gabby, as a rabbit, isn't naturally aggressive, but she is willing to learn to fight and stand up for herself.

This series ties in with Kirsten O'Shea's universe (Only Human) and there is a nod to some of the people from the Safeword series too. All these books have great world building, the characters are well developed and the stories are complete and satisfying.

I really didn't need to discover a new author to read but I did.

In some ways, I want to resist this book because it seems to formulaic and taking advantage of trends rather than be written out of imagination or love of the genre.

We have a motorcycle club. Its erotic. The hero is a bear shifter. He fights.

However, even though I think its fair to say there is too much going on in this book and more time could have been spent with the leads, its a great story of crazy sauce that works and is good.

The writing is very good and distinct. The characters are will developed with interesting backstories (the heroine more than the hero). The hero is kind and awesome. The heroine comes into her own and we have a wonderful opposites attract trope.

The world and culture building is excellent with a great cast. The plot walks the perfect line of conflict and twists without overstepping.

I love the ownership of the rabbit and bear sexuality and the complete comfort with a non monogamous (rooted in DNA and culture) soul mate kind of love.

They are wonderful couple and the love story was a super hot and tender delight.

I wanna be a rabbit! I love this story......not the usual kink just an awesome supportive Bear (named Horse LOL) and a shy bunny who comes out of her den to show the shifter world just how strong she is. I love a story with a strong heroine and a supportive hero!! Their HEA is unconventional but I think it's great!!

A bear and a rabbit walk into a gun store… and start banging like bunnies!

The Rolling Thunder MC is back in all their gritty, shifter glory. RTMC has changed its charter and is now allowing other species of shifters other than just wolves in. Although I was really hoping for a story about Gonzo or Dawg first, I’m glad I didn’t get what I wished for. The addition of more shifter types into the MC sets the stage for what I think is going to be a wild ride since it seems a supernatural war of good vs. evil is on the horizon with Chattanooga possibly being the front line. I loved the peek into the politics of the other shifter species and the little glimpses into what happens in faerie. I’ve always meant to read more of Candace Blevins’ other series and books, especially The Chattanooga Supernaturals since there is a lot of overlapping of characters. After this book they are now at the top of my TBR pile– even the rest of her Safeword series which is a bit out of my BDSM comfort zone. Speaking of comfort zones if sex with other partners is a no go for you, even if it’s with the whole hearted approval of the significant other, this is not the book, nor the series for you. This is a paranormal book and certain shifters have certain needs that only one partner cannot meet. I’m not big on cheating, but in this context it’s not, and I am so glad I did not miss out on this.

Okay, on to this book. Horse, a bear shifter is one of the newest members of the club. And yes, there’s a body part specific reason why he’s called that. He’s huge, mean looking, kind of gruff, but oh so very sweet. He might shift into a grizzly bear but really he was a great big teddy bear. I love a big, burly, hot alpha who puts his woman’s needs first in everything. The lengths he was willing to go to in order to help his little rabbit were truly endearing and made for a whole lot of “Oh my word, that is so freaking romantic” type comments coming from me. The fact that he had the entire RTMC going out of their way to make the cute little bunny not be scared of a group of big bad wolves was the absolute sweetest of all. I have to say, in Brain’s book, I wanted to castrate a few of my favorite MC brothers but in this one I wanted to hug them all.

Gabby is a rabbit shifter and anyone who has ever owned a rabbit knows they are timid little creatures who get spooked at the drop of a hat. Rabbit shifters pretty much act true to type, but Gabby has a nightmarish past that makes her more scared than most. Add in the fact that rabbit shifters are kind of like the succubi of the shifter world, they have to have sex to function, and Gabby hasn’t been taking care of that particular need of hers and when she runs into Horse she is one hot mess. Good thing he wants her from the start. I’m not a huge fan of timid, scared heroines but I also know that the courage to face your fears is the bravest thing of all and Gabby is one hell of a brave little bunny, even when her instinct to freeze and/or run kicks in. She won me over with each panic attack as she beat all that back and soared and even kicked a little ass or two, even if she ran away as fast as she could after.

To keep Gabby safe from what’s coming back to haunt her not only Horse and the MC, but the Dragon King, The Lion King, and even a vampire or two are needed. They’ve been around for some of the other books, but for this one, it felt like friendship ties were strengthened. Although less dark and gritty than Brain’s book, or even Bash’s, there was definitely violence and potential triggers. I cannot wait to see who’s story is up next!

I wasn't certain whether a story about a female rabbit shifter (Gabby) could cut the proverbial mustard in what is basically a wolf-shifter/biker series, but in short order the series is connected back to the entire Kirsten O’Shea Universe and all the supernatural characters within, and it begins to make sense. Of course, Horse is something of an anomaly to the RTMC story line as well, for while he is a card carrying member of the RTMC he is not a Wolf, but a Grizzly with a Club name that fits neither the shifter within or has little to do with his work ethic!

One would think it difficult to combine the two in a successful relationship, but Gabby come out of her warren gradually over the course of events and matures into some surprising powers…particularly surprising to the powers that be. Combined in spirit with Horse, they together attract the attention of the Supernatural Concilio, and while not yet known for certain, its likely they also attract the unwelcome attention of whatever evil forces are gathering, as potential threat in a coming conflict in the overall series.

In addition to the main characters of this story, each new book brings some new insight into many of the characters whose stories we have already read, but most particularly, to the most powerful - the Alphas of each of the supernatural races - and because of this, I harkened back to the original book that started it all, “Only Human”. Now, as intended I am sure, I am in a personal guessing game as to what some of the details from prior books actually mean, and even what powerful life form some of the characters actually are. There is a definite build-up of tension as the cataclysm approaches, even though several key characters still need their story.

I must admit I come away from this book with more engagement to the past and future events of the combined series, than I do with Gabby and Horse’s personal journey. I see that they fit the big picture and their relationship furthers a necessary connection between supernatural realms as dangerous times approach, but I don’t have the same visceral connection to these two that I have had so far for other character-pairings in the series. Don’t misunderstand; all the story elements are there and I can see where the backgrounds of Horse and Gabby are important parts of the story foundation, but the two of them as individuals or as a couple, did not resonate with me in the same way others characters did, personally speaking, as I imagined them in this unfolding world.

Notwithstanding, it is still an exciting chapter in an increasingly tense time for the Supernatural world, and I will spend many hours theorizing and second-guessing who and what comes next…and waiting for their contribution to this engaging world.

Spoiler Ahead This was a really good book it is book six in the "Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club". Horse is one of the first non-wolf shifters to be patched into the RTMC after the rule change. He’s a Grizzly Bear, and his old pawnshop has become the MC’s new gun store in a mutually beneficial arrangement he got his nickname because he is hung. Gabby is a rabbit shifter with a complicated history. Rabbits live in Faerie, but her parents chose to escape to the human realm so they could be together. Gabby's father turned out to be a serial killer who raped and killed hundreds of women. Gabby is afraid of wolves because of how they tortured her to find out information about her father. As Gabby and Horse get close and begin having sex Rabbits are sexual, social creatures who need a wide variety of partners in their lives if they go outside their own species and because bears are loners its ok with Horse either of them are jealous and the thing with rabbits being able to adjust internally to any size male was very interesting. With the help of Aaron and Nathan and the rest of the gang Gabby learns how to protect herself and when she is raped she learns that she has powers that no one knew she had. This was a really good book and I liked that everyone helped Gabby with her powers and protecting her from the FBI who is still looking for her father. Gabby and Horse get married and turns out with the two of them exchanging energy she is more powerful than the Rabbit King how shows up at her wedding. The sex scenes in this book were hot. This book was well written like the other books in this series with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I am so happy to become immersed in the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club again, I have enjoyed every single one of Candace Blevins’ stories and this one right up there with awesomeness!

Horse and Gabby’s relationship is not a common one as he is a bear shifter and she is a rabbit shifter. After some unpleasantness, they make a go at being a couple. There are some really bad people out there but the MC has each others back, especially when those bad people are out to get Gabby. Gabby has to finally come out and tell about her background, something she wanted kept
hidden.

I really loved the characteristics of these shifters, the rabbit shifter can adjust to any size which in this case is probably the best, since having a partner by the name of Horse, and yup you guessed as to why that is his nickname. Much sexy times are being enjoyed by Horse and Gabby and a few other shifters may be involved (you’ll have to read the story to find out how and why).

I greatly recommend this latest story by Candace Blevins, you will not be disappointed. And if you have been a fan and read the previous stories, you will enjoy hearing about a few of the past characters in this series and the Kirsten O’Shea series.

I have read all the rolling thunder MC books and they combine my two new favorite loves MC and shifter the best of both worlds. I love this book and will never look at a cute bunny the same again but this was an interesting read for me I an no cheating girl in my reads but this book handle the topic tasteful enough for me to finish and love the story. That was my only thing in the story that gave me pause but it wasn't enough for me to stop reading or finishing the book in one day and not sleeping that night.

What a bizarre book to throw into the middle of this thus far great series!

First of all the bikers we've met so far, the author chose horse whom I dont recall hearing about so he's a completely new character out of the blue.

Then we have gabby- who frankly has to be the weirdest shifter I've ever read and I've read a lot. Everything from how as soon as she meets a man they all love her, want to fuck or protect her. Then there's the new lore about rabbits having sex from aged 10, to all the other bizarre stuff.

My least fav was the notion she's in a committed relationship with horse, but because their species aren't monogamous they have regular sex with multiple others a week. Its just sex, but I didnt like how impersonal it all was, other than Aaron the rest were known by their animal, ie the deer etc.

I love rh, menage etc but honestly this did nothing for me at all I guess because theres no emotion to it. Just an energy swap. It was a turn off. Like really bad porn frankly.

The whole energy n power issue was ott and frankly ridiculous. Not enough depth etc

No biker related stuff in this book so why it was included in the biker series is beyond me. More to do with shape-shifting n the realms etc. And not done very well either.

I really hope the rest of the series isn't like this as it was poorly executed. Mainly because she was trying to do too many genres and thus didn't do any well.

I ended up skimming it, it was so bad, as where the sex scenes.

Terrible!!

Sooo… I absolutely LOVED the previous books in this series. And I think until about 40% into this book, Horse (bear shifter) and Gabby's (bunny shifter) story was AMAZING, I loved it! And then - for me! - the story to-tal-ly and utterly derailed!!

(Hele maffe wendingen; sloeg echt he-le-maal nergens op!!)
An alternative dimension/realm (Faerie) with all kinds of creatures engaged in power struggles and a confusing amount of secondary characters. Gabby and Horse turning out to be both very (if not the most) powerful creatures of their kind? Gaining powers by orgasms… and Gabby needed to have sex with all kinds of different shifter creatures because of these powers? Gabby's grandparents being brutally whipped and sexually abused by an ice queen, who demanded to have sex with Horse (and got her wish) if Gabby wanted to talk to her grandparents?? Really?? I hated all of it!
If this is the setting for a next book, I'm done with this series which I absolutely totally loved until now! So… more-than-5-stars for the beginning but 2 ieniemienie stars for the greatest part of this book. Final rating: 3 stars, because I still have hope! ;-)
I'm totally and utterly disappointed… and actually shocked that such a great series can turn into such a... monstrosity.

I loved this book! Ms Blevins has one of the most creative and twisted minds and it shines here in Horse. The character of Horse is a member of the RTMC but he is not a wolf shifter, he's a grizzly shifter and as far as I know he is the only member who is not a wolf. Gabby is a rabbit shifter and quite the different character. The author is able to blend the natural traits of each species into their shifter characters in such a way the characterization is enhanced and the story flows. Horse enjoys the brotherhood of the RTMC but doesn't need the pack traits as the wolves do. Gabby is introduced as a very timid woman who startles easily and has a freeze or flee instinct. It's with Gabby that the author really gets creative. Everyone knows rabbits reproduce easily and Ms Blevins took the base knowledge and ran in a direction I was not really expecting. It's so good though!

The book doesn't contain the level of kink which is present in the author's Safeword series but it does have a little bit. I would recommend reading the entire series starting with Only Human. There are characters from many previous stories who appear in this book and knowing how Ms Blevins other supernatural characters behave will enhance the read.

I received a copy for review but I have my own copy on preorder!

I am not big on paranormal romance. However, I make an exception to some authors that WOWed me before from their other books. Candace is one of the exceptions to this. She has wowed me in her Safeword series.

What woman doesn’t want a man hung like a horse and this book took that statement to a new level. Gabby is a scared rabbit. A shapeshifting rabbit (yes this would be my dream to shift into a rabbit lol).

If you enjoy paranormal romance with some amazing sexual scenes then check out this book and the others in the RTMC (Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club) series.

The bunnies and I highly recommend this book and series to other paranormal romance readers.

The bunnies and I give this book 5 carrots.

DNF. Im sorry to the author but i just couldn't finish this book. I've read all the other rolling thunder mc books and this one just annoyed me. Shes a rabbit and her men carry her on their hip like a baby/toddler. Shes small with double h boobs. Horse doesn't get jealous and she has to have sex lots of sex with people not her partner. I may have missed some facts because i didn't finish but i just couldnt get into it. I'd still recommend the book though because this is after all a Candace Blevins book and it's only my opinion.

THERE ARE SPOILER ALERTS IN THIS REVIEW:

*sigh*. What to say about this book? Well I guess I should start by saying it was not one of my favorites. I would have stopped reading it if it hadn't been by Candace. I guess if you are in an open relationship like Gabby and Horse were it's ok. Candace has a way of writing that even though they were in an open relationship you could tell that their feelings were of true love. And you could feel the depth of those feelings.

I really love reading shifter books, love more when the animals are ones you don't often see. So when this book turned out to be a bear and a bunny, oh man, I knew I was in for a good time.

I probably shouldn't have been laughing, but Gabby and her scaredy cat ways amused me. I liked that the guys of RTMC were mindful of Gabby and did what they could to calm her down. Even Horse who was instantly smitten played the long game to ensure that Gabby was in his life. I really liked how Gabby changed through out the book, how she became stronger because people helped her. She is still timid, but now has ways to deal with things and has found a place to belong.

The rabbits as a whole were interesting. I liked that as they weren't common in this world a lot of info was parsed out. Some of it made me smile, some had me shaking my head. I do love the idea of non-predator animals, so it was great to see that.

A lot of what happens in this book is very political and encompasses a much larger story arc with connecting series. It's tough to talk about it, but it's nice to see alliances being made, to see that they are made because of friendship first and a genuine interesting in helping someone.

Why didn't anyone warn me that Horse was so unbelievably sweet, kind, sexy, and caring??? I mean, really, he is a Grizzly, but the moment he meets Gabby, he is completely and solely focused on her well-being, her concerns, her feelings, and her happiness. This, of course, aligns with his wants and needs, so these two, as unbelievable as it may seem, are perfect together!

Gabby has some secrets, they are big, and she is social, sexually primed, rabbit. Horse is a loner grizzly bear, open for all he chooses to be around. Neither need monogamy, are actually need to know about the others happiness without them. Both, it would appear, are important players in the supernatural world, but they don't want to be. They will do what is needed, but are happy with the lives they have

Gabby and Horse are completely devoted to each other, and while it takes a bit for them to get there, once together, they easily find their groove. No drama, no angst, just two level-headed shifters, prey and predator, finding their other half, and becoming more than their whole when joined!

Horse is a great character. Gabby doesn't need a man, she needs a "village" with a true confidante and personal hero at her side to discover the woman she is. After the very real traumas and misconceptions she has taken on from her past, she has to determine how she wants to live her life moving forward. She explores and expands her inner strengths because Horse makes her feel secure enough to acknowledge and hone them. At the same time, the other people in her life also give her perspectives Horse can't--and Horse is secure enough to not only accept those relationships but encourage them.

Not at all sure why I love this author and this series so much but I every time I think I can walk away from not buying the next book....I race off to buy the next book in the series.

This one wasn't as sexy to me, although I loved, loved, loved the non monogamous relationship. However, there were some glaring plot holes that are driving me crazy because I don't have an answer to why...why...why was the FBI wolf still after Gabby...why? Why? Ugh. Anyway, Gabby and Horse are perfect for each other which is nice.

I like the mix of strong women, brutal men and situations that just have to be dealt with that makes everyone stronger in different ways just makes this a great series
