Like why did Jack have to die? Why couldn't Rose move her butt over? Because that was a huge piece of wood she was on, people.

Happy Endings should be fought for, but they should always happen. Mine might take some curves and twists, but they eventually get there.

Having published over fifty stories, it always feels surreal that this is my life. Hitting USA Today had me crying for days, but nothing is more special than hearing from readers that they loved one of my books.

This just isn't keeping my interest.
Plus I heard it's a trilogy (when I thought it was a series with each book being about a different couple)...
AND this one ends on a cliffhanger to boot.

So I just have no interest in continuing based on what I've read so far.

Cliffhanger here and man it's horrible!!

Now I would also have to read all three to get the whole story as well!?

What a total waste of time!
She was innocent her family was trying to get her under their control and he wanted to f*ck her to get her out of his system.

He also puts her in extreme danger with out thinking how it would fall back on her.
Why why can't it be him that gets tortured?!?

I did not like the hero and he just gave up way too easy.
No fight in this asshole!!!

Well where do I start....Lets see Skull is the president of the Devils Blaze MC and he's about as had core as they come he's ruthless,determined and just down right a BAD ASS ! He loves his club and loves his life ! He sees Beth and let the FUN BEGIN !!!
Beth is not your typical woman she's lived a hard life a rough life and has never been able to make a choice for herself someone has always done that for her ... Until she meets Skull what do they say about opposite well this book is right on ..
What happens when someone keeps a secret that could kill a lot of people ? What happens when the one person you love you shouldn't have ? What happens when secrets are reviled , hearts are broke and peoples lives are at steak ? This book had so many twists you won't see coming and is full of so may WTF moments you'll be stunned ! Yes this book is a cliffy I HATE them REFUSE to read them but I had to give Jordan a try just cause I love her other books and I'm so glad I did cause this book will stick with me FOREVER !! Yes you will need to buy stock in Kleenex and PANTIES cause yes the sex scenes are HOTT and you'll prolly want to club Jordan over the head but in the end you will understand and you will bow down to the MASTER !!! So give this Cliffy a try I PROMISE you won't regret it !!!

I'm so angry I could strangle this author right now. My emotions are running all over the place and I've never felt so betrayed in my life. I don't think Skull and Beth deserved that ending. If you're going to read this book, please be warned that this ends in a major fucking cliffhanger.

Now let me get my wits back as I wallow in my own misery.

Holy mama, this was hot. Skull was insanely alpha possessive and his devotion for Beth was adorable.



Their relationship has rocky moments due to her family and the MC rivalry and I am on the edge of my seat to see what happens to their relationship. Oh my goodness gracious that cliffhanger! I need the next book!!

Yeah, that was my reaction... that man is Fine! Skull is way too hot to pass up, screw what mom says. Big badass biker. President of Devil's Blaze MC. Hello Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome. Pure trouble he is and one day he sets his sights on a very young Beth instantly wanting her to be his but he has no clue what he's getting into. Yeah, it's a tad bit insta~love but believable because dangerous men like him know what they want when they see it, easy to identify the difference between a good girl and a house skank! Skull is pure freakin' alpha... the kind that wets your panties just by breathing. I was dying to jump in my Kindle. If only! I'd be back in plenty of time by morning. This way big boy.




The dynamics between the two were smoking hot! He was so possessive, protective, and wanted her to have his babies. Yep that's what he said. Beth is a baby herself, so pure and innocent wearing little sundresses. They couldn't be anymore different. Lucky girl.





Beth tries to tell Skull who she is but he doesn't want to hear it. They get more and more into each other and trouble comes Skull's way. They love each other but Beth knows he's in danger if she stays so she goes back and forth with her feelings because she doesn't want to leave him, but it's safer for him and his club brothers.

"Captured" is the first book in Devil's MC and the story of Skull and Beth.
I rarely do MCs but my close friend Marie recommended it heavily and I decided to try it.. which was a GREAT decision.
Firstly to get the main point out, it ends in a cliffhanger and there is a book 2.

Things I adored
- An obsessed crazy hero
- Hot hot hot love making
- Baby batter and breeding
- A lot of Spanish hotness
- A couple insanely in love with each other

Skull gets obsessed with Beth the moment he sees her.. and decides to make her his. His stalking and relentless pursuing ends up getting her both into his pants, and unexpectedly into his heart. He wants her forever, and makes no secret of it. They're crazy about in each and love, and the couple gives you all the goals and feels.
This book had a lot going on. An innocent heroine caught between a crazy family and a devoted lover- secrets being revealed- innocent people being killed- angst and heartbreak- passion- everything!
There are a lot of tears towards the end.. ah so many..my heart. I ADORE THIS COUPLE!
It took me on a wonderful roller coaster ride and I honestly can't wait to read more.

THE CLIFFHANGER IS KILLING ME!!
Now coming to my mini rant. I couldn't believe the ending.. Skull.. Why?! (I had to remove safety first tag because of that!!)

3.5 stars Mixed feelings on this one.

I downloaded this book several days ago but after my friend read it and loved it I pushed it to the top of my list. I knew before starting it was part of a trilogy and a cliffhanger as well but since all the books are out and on KU I didn't see that as an issue.
The book itself
I have very mixed feeling about this, parts of it I loved, the cover for example is fabulous, Skull is wonderful, the story was mainly good and I really liked some of MC particularly Torch.
So what was the problem?
In a word Beth.
Half the time I really liked her the rest she drove me nuts, why didn't she just communicate? Time and time again all she needed to do was explain and it annoys the hell out of me when a few words could sort everything out but despite this I'm continuing on with the next book 'Burned'

Even if she's going to do what she did towards the end why didn't she leave a message for Skull explaining what she was doing and why, it's beyond cruel that she left him to suffer.

Audiobook: Narrators – Morgan Tyler and Leo Barnabas

While I enjoyed both of these narrators, I have to give extreme compliments to Leo Barnabas’ performance as Skull. I don’t think I’ve ever listened to an audiobook where a narrator actually performed the part and that is exactly what it felt like here. There was so much passion, anger and angst that I was completely blown away by it. Admittedly, there was a time or two where it might have been too much but those moments were so few and far between that they were easy to forgive because everything else was outstanding.

I saw the cover of this audiobook, read the blurb and purchased. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of cliffhangers and the fact that this ended in one stole any enjoyment I had from the story. I wish I had been warned.

I liked Beth and Skull and the fact that he was so possessive and protective of her. The brothers added to my enjoyment as well. This is a rather gritty MC story that doesn’t try to make them anything than what they are. I was a bit aggravated at Beth for having not simply communicated something with Skull at some point when danger was imminent, but I would have gotten over that had it not been for the cliffie.

I checked out what the next book of their story is and it appears to be a different couple and yet the continuation of this one. That only adds to my aggravation of the cliffhanger surprise. I would LOVE to know Beast’s story but as I doubt very much that I’ll be going on to book 2 here, I suspect I won’t be listening to his either.

Sorry to beat a dead horse here, but do not surprise me with an incomplete story!

Although this ends on a cliffhanger, I actually really enjoyed this.

It bugs me that the next one in this series is not the conclusion to Skull and Beth but is about Torch and Beth's sister Katie. Readers have to wait until the third book to get Skull and Beth's story.

I would love if we got a story for Beast.

Ugh, why did i not check on GR before i started reading this book.

This is another modest formula-fiction.

The plot is predictable. The writing is ok but not high quality. There is no world, character or story building. It is just given as it is and how it can fit the storyline.
The characters are unlikable, there is no depth to them and no character development in any kind.

I, for one, hate stories that revolve around the characters lying to each other. Even by omission. Causing all the problems. Pair that with a weak heroine and i loose all my interest.

I mean come on, how much drama can you put in one book.
Cancer, parental neglect, insane obsession over a heroine who does not even have one trait to back that up. What else, uh yeah, of course she is a virgin. Innocent and oh so sweet. Naive to an extent it makes you want to smack some sense into her yourself. Dead sister, dead mother, estranged father, catholic school. Guilt and moral high ground... God. This is so silly. Mafia family vs biker club. Lots of bombings and shootings. And of course lmao everyone has the police in their pockets. Sigh, a little bit of authenticity would have come a long way.
Characters who do the same mistakes over and over again. Not learning one bit. Even the high amount sex scenes are lame and a far cry from juicy. The male character is also not the brightest bulb in the box. Their actions and reasonings, are just plain immature.

This book fits not even in the entertainment shelf for me.

So yeah, not a recommendation from me.

This book kept me up way after I finished it, trying to find out when the next one was coming out and how to get my hands on it..

Skull is the MC president, like all other MC Presidents he has had his share of women.. one day he sees a woman across the street and has to meet her. Beth is trying to have a quiet moment to herself celebrating another year of cancer free year by having a cup of coffee and a cinnamon roll when the sexy biker approaches her. He wants her in his bed, she has secrets. Now the story slowly begins to unroll. See Beth, is twenty, but still in highschool, a private catholic, all girl highschool. She sneaked out to have this cup of coffee. Skull wants to see her again, but that means she has to sneak out again.
Beth also has no parents, so her two guardians, her two step brothers who placed her in this school will be furious if they find out.. However one of them finds out, and makes his intentions clear.. and not in the brotherly way.. So Skull finds Beth, they spend a couple of amazing days together, and then we have a way between Colin the step brother (I think they are mob) and Skulls MC club. People are getting killed. It's the ending that killed me, broke my heart, twisted it and broke it again..

O.M.G !!!!! What an outstanding first book in this new series from Jordan Marie 5*+++++ from me.

Captured (Devil's Blaze MC #1) ~ Is Skull and Beth's story, Skull is a hard man who leads his MC with an Iron fist he works hard and plays even harder never having a type, any women will do to warm his bed until he spots Beth ! Beth draws him in and things will never be the same for Skull again.

Beth is a sweet innocent girl who is trapped in a family she hates. Skull makes her want to taste the forbidden fruit and wins her over but at what cost ?

This book delivers so much more than romance we get to see the real bonds between the MC Brothers, the fights, Blood, tears and the after effects of the actions taken by the MC. The sex scenes are off the charts Hot !! Very well written the story flows so well and will keep you on the edge of your seat.

This is the first book and does end in a cliff-hanger which will leave your mouth wide open begging for the follower on book roll on March !

Okay, this was a really good story. I
loved the chemistry between Skull and
Beth. The story was really fast paced,
fun, and off the charts HOT!!! Skull
was a really bad biker that INSTANTLY
fell for Beth. I hate Instant. BUT in
instant it somehow worked.

Now, I have to comment on the Instant.
Skull was attracted to Beth from the moment
he saw her. They met up for about a week
everyday and Skull could not get her out
of his mind. SPOILERS After this week
Skull learns that Beth, due to cancer,
was unlikely to have children. Skull
internalizes that she will be the mother
of his kids no matter what. Again this
was really fast and really unbelievable,
but IT WORKED.

I HATE THIS CLIFFHANGER. THIS WAS
A LITERAL CLIFFHANGER. The only
reason that I am not furious is that the
2nd book comes out at the end of
Feb. We will see. I am looking forward
to the next book and really enjoyed
this biker series.

Update: so I did continue to listen to this book after my initial review. Ironically, after Beth loses her virginity the story gets better. Skull is annoyingly fixated on Beth’s purity at the beginning.

It was worth giving another chance and I would recommend for anyone that enjoys romantic suspense, and bikers.

Holy mother of hotness...first of all that cover is sexy as hell...second of all the story itself is smoking hot and thirdly...WHY did you do that to us Jordan Marie?! Yes I know, I read your explanation at the end of the book but that cliffhanger...sigh...I will just have to be patient for a few more weeks and read something else to just forget about what you did...
Skull and Beth are not what you would consider to be "the perfect match" at first...she is an innocent young woman and he is the President of a motorcycle club (my favorite type of couple)...not to mention that there is that pesky big secret she is keeping from him that could potentially cause both of their deaths and the lives of Skull's club brothers as well.
From the very start this book is full of sexual tension, secrets, lies and a whole lot of violent club business that causes some major problems for both the MC and Beth's personal safety...but you can't stop the love train from running full steam ahead when the one you need to breathe is the one who you shouldn't want.
I really can't and won't say too much more about what actually happens in this book or why, as it would just ruin all the fun of surprise and discovery, but suffice it to say that this one will have your head spinning (as well as wishing you had someone next to you to relieve all the sexual tension you will be feeling as you read) and you will be left both entertained while you are wanting to throttle the author for leaving you hanging.

Awesome mc read. Skull is a new favorite alpha-caveman. Wow the forces in and out of the MC trying to keep Skull and Beth apart are too many to count. Beth is an innocent 20yr old when she meets and falls in love with a bada*s mc president. He is possessive but loving. He never gives Beth reason to question him or his love, but alas she is young and stupid and instead of having Faith in her man, talking to him and working Shi* out together she goes off and makes some colossal decisions/mistakes. This book has mystery, drama, heartbreak, scorch your panties hot sex scenes all wrapped in a tidy MC read. Now with previous reviews I was aware this book ended in a cliffhanger and boy does it, however given the price and the synopsis and with the knowledge the second book is already out and only 99¢ as well I dove right in . Super glad I did as this book was great, great characters, great side characters the good guys were good and the bad guys..really bad! Hopefully in the next book, one particular bad guy gets his. I'm kinda rooting for Beth to do the honors! Recommend to all the other MC read junkies out there.

Holy heck!! Nothing absolutely nothing could of prepared me for Skull & Beth's book. I was enthralled from the moment I started the first chapter to the very end. I didn't want it to end. This book made me feel a whole bunch of different emotions. I want to hold Beast and throat punch a certain Devil Blaze member that shall remain nameless! I cried, laughed, fanned myself, yelled at my kindle like they could hear me. I am in love with Skull, he is a nasty talking ultimate alpha male just the way I like them.

Now I will say I am not a huge fan of cliffhangers at all. However for this story, it was necessary. If you have read all of Jordan's books hopefully where it ended at made sense, it did for me and I get it. I will wait as patiently as I can be for the rest of their story. I bet that it will so be worth the wait!!

First time read from author Jordan Marie. Liked the writing and the relationship was good but towards the endish where there was betrayal etc I started to dislike the story. Don't think I will read the second book (even though it ends in a cliffhanger and their story is not done) cause of the cheating I hear that happens in the second book. Which i hate. Very much. Plus I didn't realize that the HEA wasn't till the 3rd book. I usually do not read cliffhangers (well maybe if its just 2 books) or same character series books, because of the drag and drama that comes with reading about the same characters through multiple books. Its just annoying to me.

The H was so incredibly in love with the h. He was possessive, protective, and obsessive. However, I had an issue with the H bragging about sleeping with the h to others. He was so descriptive in his bragging that it was really slimy. I hated the ending. The readers deserved a solid ending for this couple. I felt really cheated once I got to the end. I'm on the fence about continuing this series.

The heads of a powerful, criminal empire, Colin and Matthew Donahue are violent, vicious men. Colin has made it clear to Beth that he intends to have much more than a sisterly relationship with her. Beth feels trapped – by Colin’s plans for her, by her illness and by her lack of life experiences. She starts sneaking out of school, and it is during one of those excursions that she meets Skull. I’ve been a fan of Jordan Marie’s since her debut novel, Breaking Dragon, was released. I have watched enthusiastically, with each of her successive releases, as this author has developed and honed her storytelling abilities. Jordan is gifted in terms of her ability to craft incredibly layered, multi-faceted stories. The attention this author pays to the details, the development of plots and building of worlds is nothing short of astonishing. This is not a book that is merely read, this is book intended to be experienced. This book definitely sets the stage for an incredible journey. It is very obviously a resounding success for this author. The promise of this series is evident on every page, and I am literally at the edge of my seat, very anxiously awaiting the next release.

To simply say that I adored this book is a vast understatement. This is a stunningly beautiful yet completely gut-wrenching love story, and it is unlike anything the exceptionally talented Jordan Marie has given her readers before. As heart breaking as it was heart pounding, this is a story that left me breathless and sobbing, and it is one will stay with me for a very long time. Richly developed, intricately plotted and fabulously well written, this is unquestionably Jordan Marie’s best work to date, and it is definitely a book that is likely to be considered one of the top books in MC romance genre.

Congratulations, Jordan Marie. You have given your fans something truly special in Captured. Well done, Jordan, very, very well done!

I effing loved this book!

Beth is a good girl, cancer survivor who has led a sheltered life. While having coffee one morning she meets Skull and her world is changed forever. She can't help but be addicted to the sexy, foul mouthed, tattooed president of the Devils Blaze MC. She knows she shouldn't keep seeing him but she can't stop.

Skull see's Bethe on the corner as she heads into the coffee shop. He knows she is going to be his and he is not going to stop until he owns her, body and soul. His addiction to her runs deep and before long he has her underneath him, screaming his name in pleasure.

What he isn't prepared for however, is falling in the love and he wants more with her. When Beth's sick and evil step-brother, who wants her for his own twisted purposes, starts a war with the MC over her, things get out of control and people start dying.

I can't even tell you how emotionally invested in this book I am! I love Beth she is a so innocent but so in love in Skull and she goes to extremes to try and protect him and his brothers. I hate the wrong choices she made, but without them we wouldn't have the story we have.

And Skull, don't bother wearing panties! He is toe curling, screaming sex personified and all I wanted to do was crawl into the book and rub myself all over him like a cat in heat.

I would love to say that chemistry between these two is awesome, but that's too mild a word, try electric with a whole lot of zap and zing! I never wanted this book to end. I was left emotionally wrecked and it has left me obsessed for more.

I am on edge knowing I have to wait for the rest of this story! Yes it does end in an epic cliff hanger. I doubt there is going to be a cliff hanger that makes me feel this way for the rest year.
