What can I say? If you do not read this series you are really missing out. Lisa has a great way of drawing you in to all her stories that makes you feel like you are right there with the characters Mica and Knox. It's been a long and hard road to love but a road worth travelling.

Somewhat choppy tale of two damaged people who clicked for a night, lost each other, and come together again when her past threatens her.

If you read the other series you would of meet knox in one book after hawks house got blown up.This says it's a series but really it's one book like books use to be 400 pages (these days allot are 250 to 300 ) I don't know why she made it end then next book because the story had not got far.I would of liked to know who was lying with knows parents.but his dad had other kids he never claimed so clearly he is not the caring person he claims.

Twists and turns
You have to be careful of whiplash with this story because just when you think you know what's going on the story and characters turn it around. Great characters and great story telling. A great series so I'll have to find out what the brothers get up to. A great read x

Good
I got this after reading the 1st book in the Heat box set - I just had to know what happened between Knox and Mica. I was happy the got their HEA, though I'm a bit disappointed that the Bailey issue wasn't completely resolved, but I'm sure that's because there will be another book. If you enjoy romance books, you will enjoy this author.

Great series
Was totally hooked on this series from when I first met Knox in The Edge of the Heat series. I knew I wanted .to read his book. Now I can't wait for next book in the series. Hmm maybe Braxtons book.

A Blast From The Past
This series of books were exciting to read. They contained so much drama, suspense, action, romance, and passion throughout each book. The sex scenes were awesome. I loved Knox the best, very compassionate and protective.

Complete story for these two characters. I’d like to see what happens in Knox’s family some more. Her story was almost too damaged for me to read. HEA.

The first part with Mica and Knox had me on edge. I was worried if Bailey would find Mica. Glad that Mica, AKA Rachel had contacted Knox. I think that Bailey is still alive and will cause future problems. I would like to read more about them and the rest of Knox's family.
Emma having to deal with Norman was scary. He has so many connections that it makes her life hell. I'm glad she met Craig. They seem perfect together. Although, he has been lying to her. I think she will forgive him. I hope Norman gets put away for a very long time. I will definitely like to read more about them.

Strange ending, wonder if another book in the series will come.

I read book 1 of this series several months ago in an anthology of multiply authors. I had immediately one clicked the next two books. I was in the middle of some other books so I didn't read them right away. Last week I decided to read them when I seen there was a prequel released. When I got the prequel I seen that there was also a 4th book. Now I have to be truthful at this point I almost decided not to get the 4th book. It kind of bothered me that the author spread these out over 4 parts when it could have been one or two full length books. Now after all that you will notice that I still give this 5 stars because regardless of how they were released it is most definitely a very well written and intriguing read. The storyline flowed very well even as it went back & forth between the past & present. Not all authors can do this so seamlessly but Miss Ladew certainly can. Knox and Mica's story started 10 years earlier but when Mica fled Knox was left feeling he lost the one person who he felt could make him complete. Mica has been living a lie for 10 years and now she is in danger. She will never forget the encounter she had with Knox Rosesson years before on a train and now she's going to test her own self control when she hires him to protect her. Can she keep her identity hidden and shake the feelings that have never left her?

He was introduced in the Edge of the Heat Serial, book 7. Knox has it all, everything but his heart, which he gave to a girl on a train a decade earlier.

She has evaded the man she escaped ten years earlier, her twisted adoptive father, Dick Bailey. But even after changing her name and appearance, he's found her, leaving her with no choice but to hire professional protection. Although this box set includes books 1-4 the prequel to Knox and Mica's story is amiss. For the whole effect you need to read that first.
If I'm honest I thought the prequel was too short and not enough to get your teeth into, and I didn't like Knox's character in book 1...but...reading on, with the heartbreak, lies, loss, betrayals, devastation, and the hard curves of life, things made a lot more sense.
On the whole it was a good storyline, action, suspense, twists and turns, drama, romance, (plenty of sex scenes,) hope, grief, family and love. At times it came across as mechanically written and rushed. Each book was quite short, which finished on a cliffhanger...pointless when one whole book would suffice...I'd have been pulling my hair out and cussing had I bought them separately. As it was, the box set was free. Finished at 68% for the first book in the Edge of Heat series to proceed.
Not a bad read if you can get all the books together. Free is an added bonus.

This was my first Box set from Lisa Ladew, and it was wooow.
I am glad that i read the whole set, because if i had to reead each book i am sure i wouldn't reed all of them. I really don't like cliffhangers and these books are killers each one end whit one.
The books are really good to read, the story is full of drama, action, sex.....and the peace of the story is slow, but not too slow.
I liked the conection betwen main characters, and their history.
I liked how Mica and Knox had their diferent life and how easily they got connected again.
Mica had a really hard childhood, and vicious step father which wanted to do horrible thing to her, if she wouldn't ran.
Knox was still suferring from a heartbreake from 10 years ago, when some Nicole broke his heart when she sudenly disapeared.
The faith broth Knox and the missing woman on the same path, and will the past come and haunt them both. Will they still care for each other when the secrects are revealed. Hmm, read and you will see :-)

Wow
Mica and Knox story was a rollercoaster ride. I found myself always looking forward to the next paragraph or the next page. I had to make myself put down my kindle and leave it in the next room so I would get some sleep.
Mica is a beautiful women with a lot of baggage from her past.
Knox has his fair share of problems.

Knox has been searching for his Rachel, the one who got away, for a decade. He has never gotten over their brief encounter on the train. Rachel has been running scared for that decade, even though she has made a life for herself in the fashion world. When their paths collide will it be as magical as it was a decade ago? Or will whatever has Rachel running scared tear them apart? This is another must read series from Lisa Ladew.

This was my first series from Lisa Ladew and it did not disappoint. There were so many things happening in this series including romance, extremely hot sex, intense family drama, insane stalkers and so much more. I loved the storyline and the relationships between the brothers. I loved the intensity between Know and Mica. There was great character development in this novel, lots of action and a HEA ending.

Overall, I enjoyed it. Some parts were steamy, some were tender but not enough kink as I thought it would be. Knox is a complex man and meet "the one" at a young age. Little did he know that "Rachel" was trying to escape from a horrible man. They shared a tender night and in that one brief moment, sealed their love for one another. She wasn't ready and left but fate has his own ideas and brings them back together. The ending was a bit rushed for me but I still liked it.

Fantastic series! I loved the story of Knox and Mica. The prequel only wetted my appetite and this story was filled with suspense, passion, and great twists. Twists that would make you gasp and fun that will make you laugh. Knox is a mystery and is intriguing in some of eccentricities. Mica is paranoid but a functional person. Both work well together and create a fantastic story. There is a happy ending but there some mystery at the end that makes you wonder if this is really the end.

I read the prequel to this series and couldn't wait to see where "Rachel" and Knox went from the cliffhanger. It is really important to read book one to get the best understanding of how things are between the two and how they get to they point they are at ten years later. I was definitely not disappointed on how the story went. I will be looking for more books by this author.

Loved this series
The is series is actually ONE book, the "books" are more like long chapters. Love Mica, strong determined woman, a survivor. And then there is Knox, all alpha male, but so in love with his woman, he never gets over or gives up on her. Swoon worthy!

This is a box set that is packed full of mouthwatering alpha men protecting their independent career minded women. Jammed full of humor, action, and steamy sex. Great set of books. Lisa Ladew is on my favorite author list because she can deliver a great read.

Enjoyed the back story of the different characters, all flawed and human. Hope to hear of all of Knox's siblings, keep writing along with an epilogue.
