Alexander Mark Lehman-Richfield. What can you say about a young man who grew up surrounded by lies? His mother, Iris, had a one-night-stand, with a handsome man when she was single and working as a stripper to support her college tuition. His mother, who was now married and a primary school teacher, never even knew the man’s name. Eighteen years later, after coming out, living his life as a gay high-school student and withstanding bullying at the same time he was satisfying older men, Alex spotted a cologne ad in a glamour magazine. It was then, he knew. Mark Antonius Richfield, the Nation’s Top Male Model, was his real father. From the moment Alex stood at the front door of his birth father’s home, as well as Mark’s husband, former LAPD cop, Steve Miller, Alex’s life changed forever. From an unknown androgynous nymph, to a superstar in blockbuster films, Alex had done the unimaginable. He had accomplished his goals. And that included, marrying a gorgeous police officer, twenty years his senior, Captain Billy Sharpe. But there was one flaw in the plan. Trust. Alex hoped his life would be trouble free from now on. Becoming Alex… The present for Alex was already tough, the future? Impossible to predict. But one thing was certain, Alexander Mark Richfield, was destined for superstardom.

SPOILERS*** G.A. Hauser has been one of my favorite authors. The Action series has been an auto-buy for me and after the last book I swore I would be done. I hated the direction the story was heading, but I thought I'd give it one more go. This book gave me so much anxiety I couldn't even read it. It has never bothered me in the past with couples sharing. The cheating is a whole other story though. For 15 books the storyline was so much fun. I actually reread the Billy & Alex centered books multiple times. But I have to say, sadly I'm done with this series unless it changes. It's not fun to read about cheating and lying for 3 books straight. As I said, I could handle the sharing, that was just expected and the books were just too much fun. Now, I cannot tell you how disappointed I am. Hopefully things change. I don't have high hopes since I haven't truly enjoyed the last 3 or even been able to finish the last 2. Sorry
Becoming Alex is one of the best books I have read in quite a while. Our favorite characters Mark Alex Steven Jack Adam and Billy along with other favorite characters are back and full of angst and love and happiness and sadness. This is the first book that Ms Hauser has given us with in-depth knowledge of young Alex. Oh he's all grown up with grown up problems. Becoming Alex will keep you in suspense from one page to the next. Outside of Capital Games this is the BEST!! I simply cannot wait to see what the fabulous GA HAUSER gives us next. She keeps us on the edge of our seats with each Action! book. And for those of us TRUE Hauser fans, don't be mad at the end. I have a feeling...well you'll see. I read the last page several times to restart my heart. Happy reading to you all. You won't be disappointed. As always...GA Hauser you ROCK!
Two things that I'm afraid: one, that Billy could make another mistake at this book, he seems more and more obssessed with Mark; two, I hope that Carl and Keith don't have their relationship threathened, after all that they fight to be together. It's terrible for a reader to see a couple evoluted and after this same couple break-up.
OMG! I love this series! And now that I have finished it, I so can't wait for the next story, because there has to be another one! Mark, Steve, Jack and Adam have made up and are back on track and even tho Billy has made his peace, there is still something there between him and Mark. Alex is his bratty self but has shown much improvement in judgment and has come a long way himself! I adore these men and hope to see more of them.
