In the blink of an eye, the world I knew changed.
It all started when he moved in. Just for two months , I was informed, two months to complete his training. The first day I met him, I immediately knew that those two months would be the worst of my life.

Foul-mouthed, rude and completely incapable of controlling his anger, he was just as riotous outside the ring as he was inside it. Given my (admittedly) compulsive need for order, he and I were a volatile combination waiting to explode.
There was so much about him to hate. His immature temperament. His inclination for danger. His mouth that sprouts curses with every sentence he uttered. His lean, muscular body - inked and toned - and his ruggedly handsome face. That beard... which only made him look even more manly that he already was. And his distinct power to always haunt my every waking moment with thoughts of him... even during the most inopportune moments of the day.
As I’ve said, there’s so much about him to hate...
But no matter how hard I tried... I couldn’t.
Beneath his strong and craggy exterior lies a man who is kindhearted and sincere... and when he professed his affections for me, my life instantly turned upside down. The gentleness of his touch, the reassuring comfort he provides, the yearning in the way he looks at me, the promise of love...
The answer would’ve been so easy.
But there are two problems that stand in the way.
One, he’s my stepmother’s son, a sibling I never knew. We’re family, and that makes things very, very complicated.
And two?
I am engaged to another man.

I had to stopp reading, I couldn't take it anymore. The heroine was really really stupid. Annoying and immature. I don't know where she lived, but it's clear she's not from this world. Why is she with Lucas? Why is she so sure that he's her soul mate? 3 year relationship and no intimacy, there has to be something wrong. She's not ready yet. But of course with Connor she doesn't have the problem. And just as Conner could show her, that he's what she needs and deserves, she decides to be with Lucas and marry him? Because Lucas told her he loved her? After Lucas beat Conner up (with 6 of his friends and a baseball bat?). Sorry, but this woman is not worth the effort. Conner deserves someone better. I couldn't understand why he loves her.
And let's not forget that she's engaged to Lucas and then sleeps with Conner and gives him her virginity. And after that she wants to marry Lucas? Even if Lucas is an asshole, he didn't deserve this. No one does.
Well, that's all I'm going to say about this. The writing style was good. And I loved Conner. He wasn't an ordinary character. He was unique and totally lovable. I wished he would have found someone better.
And let's not forget that she's engaged to Lucas and then sleeps with Conner and gives him her virginity. And after that she wants to marry Lucas? Even if Lucas is an asshole, he didn't deserve this. No one does.

The giving tree.....;(
I kept expecting the book to come through... I'm one of those people that start a book and must finish it. This book is like that children's book the giving tree, how the boy keeps coming back and taking everything from the tree that loves him...it's just so sad and you wonder when will this get better...Well there is a stump at the end. Had potential.

great book but it missed if the baby was sarahs and how she got back with barry
