Determined to marry the most eligible bachelor in the parish to save her family, Lucie LeBieu turns a love bug loose to cast its Voodoo spell. What she doesn't count on is hitting two targets—the golden boy congressional candidate, Eric Littington and her Cajun-hot ex, Ben Boyette. She has to undo the spell in order to set things straight before she falls back in bed—and in love—with a certain down and dirty heartbreaker.
Undercover investigator Ben Boyette is on special assignment to discover who is threatening Littington when he runs across his old flame, Lucie, cooking up trouble. Again. And when threats turn deadly, Lucie is caught in the middle. Can Ben find a way to protect the politician from falling victim to a killer and himself from falling for the irresistible bayou temptress?
Award-winning author Elle James grew up as an air force military brat. She received her work ethic from her rock-solid father, her creative streak from her artistic mother and inspiration from her writing partner and sister, Delilah Devlin. As a former member of the army reserves and a current member of the air force reserves, she's traveled across the United States and to Germany, managed a full-time job, and raised three wonderful children. She and her husband have even tried their hands at ranching exotic birds (ostriches, emus and rheas) in the Texas hill country. Ask her, and she'll tell you what it's like to go toe-to-toe with an angry three-hundred-and-fifty-pound bird and live to tell about it!
Her adventures in the army and air force reserves, and the wild antics of her life on a small ranch in Texas give her fodder for mystery, suspense and humor in her writing. Elle writes gothic, paranormal mystery for the Harlequin Intrigue line and paranormal romantic comedy for Dorchester Publishing. A former manager of computer programming and project management professionals, Elle is happy she now has the opportunity to pursue her writing full time.
Lucie will do anything to help her family, even if it means marrying a guy she doesn't love so that she can help her grandmother financially. Eric is a wealthy politician who can not only help her family but who would also be Lucie's ticket out of the Bayou and into the life she's always wanted. Determined to catch the eligible bachelor Lucie turns to voodoo to make sure she wins his heart. Unfortunately for her she isn't very good at casting spells and her love bug ends up on the loose causing chaos in the bayou. Things are complicated further by the return of her ex boyfriend Ben, it has been 7 years since she last saw him but she can't deny the attraction that still simmers between them. Lucie must decide whether to follow her head and marry Eric or to entrust her heart to Ben for a second time.
I really enjoyed the first book in this series so I jumped at the chance of reading Voodoo for Two when I was offered a review copy by Entangled Publishing. This was a fun and light hearted romance that is full of humour and hot chemistry but I have to admit I didn't enjoy it quite as much as Voodoo on the Bayou. Having said that this was still an enjoyable read and I'm definitely planning on reading the next instalment (Deja Voodoo) when it is published in June.
I think the main reason I didn't enjoy this quite as much is that I wasn't a huge fan of Lucie. I could understand her motivations for wanting to marry Eric but when she started to realise that she still had feelings for Ben I was annoyed that she kept playing Eric along for so long. I just felt she started to come across as really selfish when she was saying to herself that Eric deserved someone who actually loved him but then decided to carry on with her plans anyway. It also seemed like she was messing Ben around and neither of the guys deserved that. When she finally made up her mind to break the spell I started to like her again though and by the end she had redeemed herself. I absolutely loved Ben though, he was one sexy Cajun with a bad boy smile and a heart of gold. He had his heart broken by Lucie years ago but he knows that there is something special between them and he sets out to prove it to her.
Alongside the romance you have the antics of Lucie's love bug which were quite amusing to watch and I enjoyed getting to spend time with some of the other crazy bayou characters. I have to say I was slightly disappointed in the latest development between the previous couple Craig and Elaine and I really hope that gets addressed in the next instalment. One of my favourite characters in this story was Lucie's best friend Alex (who also happens to be Ben's sister), she was often the voice of reason and wasn't afraid to tell Lucie exactly what she thought of her plans. I would really like to see Alex get her own story and I'd quite like to see Eric get a happy ending of his own because they both deserve it, I'm not sure if I picture them together though so I guess I'll just have to wait and see who the author has lined up for the next book. If you're looking for a fun series full of magic and mayhem then I'm sure you'll enjoy these stories. I know I'll be reading more from Elle James in the future.
Voodoo For Two is a fun paranormal romance by Elle James. Ms. James has delivered an entertaing and well-written book populated with outstanding characters. Lucie doesn't always get the desired results with her voodoo spells. Ben is undercover investigating who is threatening a congressional candidate when Lucie lands smack in the middle of it. Ben and Lucie's story is loaded with drama, humor, spice, action and suspense. I enjoyed this book and can't wait for my next book by Elle James. Voodoo For Two is book 2 of the Cajun Magic Mystery Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I read a paperback copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I have a few unanswered questions. But overall, it was pretty interesting. Lucie needs 2 b able 2 have a good future but can she do the rt thing when she plays a dangerous game? Ben is a really good cop and he needs 2 protect Eric. Can he do it or will everything fall apart and people get hurt? Read and find out. I really liked it.
Loved this. It's very well written and excellent characters. There's a bit of sexual content with some violence. A lot of action and even a few giggles.

. Lucie LeBieu has had it with being called the Bayou Miste's Swamp Princess. She is past ready to get out of the swamp and move into a mansion far from here. When a foreclosure notice is served on her grandmother Lucie decides to snag wealthy Eric Littington, local congressional candidate for herself and save her grandmother's home as well. When her ex-fiancé returns she decides there is no time to waste as decides to use the lessons her Grandmother, the local Voodoo Queen Madam LeBieu, has been giving her and her twin sister Lisa since they were young girls. Using Madam LeBieu's spell book she makes a love potion, using substitutions when needed. Her friends' warnings and request not to do it go unheeded. When she cast her spell it gets out of hand and suddenly she has more than one suitor and Bayou Miste has people making goo-goo eyes at one another. What is a girl suppose to do? The more Eric acts like he care for her the worse Lucie feels and what about Pascale's jealousy and Ben's steaming kisses. How can she get the spell back under control? What is Grandmere going to do when she finds out what she has done?
There is no holding this series back. Elle James has a style of writing that ties the romance and suspense in her story with a thread of humor. Once you open page one you will not want to put this book down. Although this is the second book in the series it can easily be read as a standalone. The references to book one, Voodoo in the Bayou are few and just enough to keep you from being lost as you read. Fast moving with characters that you will love. I don't know about living in Bayou Miste, but I would definitely rent a cottage from Joe Thibodeaux, spend some time with Alex, the Boyette family, and especially spend some time with Madame LeBieu and listen to her stories about life on the Bayou. Another 5 star winner. One more week and book three, Déjà Voodoo will be here. This series is the first of Ms. James I have read, but it will not be the last.
Voodoo for Two #2 by Elle James * I received a copy of this book from Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review*
Lucie gave up her dream seven years ago when she broke up with Ben Boyette so he would follow his. Lucie is overwhelmed, looking for a way to save her grandmother’s house and get out of the bayou and her heritage may be just the answer. The only problem, every time she has tried to use voodoo in the past, it has backfired and caused more trouble than good. A simple love spell is the answer to her problems; she just hopes it will work this one time.
I was pulled into this story right from the beginning. The characters are interesting and funny and I couldn’t wait to see how the story was going to end. I loved Lucie’s from the start, she has a good heart and tries to do the right thing but she just goes about it wrong. She sees Eric as the answer to all her problems but the more she is around him, the more she realizes that what she is doing is wrong. She and Ben have a history that just won’t go away and neither will he. In the end she does the right thing for everyone, including herself and everything works out.
Ben and Eric have been friends for a long time and now Ben has returned home to help protect Eric from the crazy stalker following him. The only problem, how can he protect Eric when he can’t even protect his own heart? He knows that he is playing with fire with Lucie but he just can’t seem to stay away from her. Eric has also fallen hard for her, which has put a strain on Ben’s friendship with him. After several near misses on Eric and Lucie’s life, Ben is even more determined to have her again if he can just convince her.
This story was full of humor and comedy; it had me laughing at Lucie’s antics trying to find that ladybug. She got herself into some really sticky situations and Ben always seemed to be the one to rescue her, even though she thought Eric was her knight in shining armor. I have to admit in the romance triangle between Ben, Eric and Lucie; I was rooting for Ben and Lucie. Eric is a good guy but he just didn’t seem the right person for Lucie. The intrigue was always in the background but it was important to the story and kept it interesting. Overall it all worked well together to make a wonderful story.
Overall I enjoyed this story very much and have even picked up the first book in the series. I give Voodoo for Two 4 Flaming Hearts.
ARC supplied by Netgalley I've not read the first book but that didn't affect my enjoyment of this one. Its easy to follow, light hearted and has some cracking humour though occasionally the joking was just too much for me and affected how I viewed the romance. The novel is a mix of love story and misunderstandings, voodoo magic (and mayhem), danger to two of the main characters, deception and rejection. Its packed with adventures and mini plots and sometimes I felt there was just too much going on in a short time. Still, action packed though it was it was clear who was doing what – and there was a lot of “goings on” where the magic was touching the wrong people – or was it? Voodoo or just simple true love ? I guess that's part of the theme that true love wins out despite the misplaced and error ridden voodoo magic plans. Ben was a great character, I loved him, he was a real romantic but heartbroken at what he saw as Lucie rejection of him. Having not read the previous book I didn't know why this was but towards the end all was made clear and Lucie was shown for the sweet caring girl she was, doing what she thought was best for her family at cost to herself. Then there's Golden boy Eric, the one Lucie has decided she wants to marry to give the family the financial stability it needed. He seemed just too nice to have political ambition..There were other characters but these three were the main and I liked them all. Where the book fell down badly for me was in the forced Cajun dialect – it just seemed wrong somehow and some of the people were just too OTT for me. I could see they were supposed to add humour but it didn't work and felt forced :( Then there was the Love Bug premise – that was just not right for me, and all that chasing to find one when there would be thousands of bugs in the swamp. Sorry but that was a real block on my enjoyment. I felt the voodoo element could have been contrived in a way that fitted the plot far better – this just spoiled my enjoyment. Overall it was an OK book – could have been better for me but of course as always we like different things and those looking for a light humorous read who can live with the bits I can't will surely love it. Its priced at £2.53 for 253 pages on kindle. Stars: three from me – a one off read only and not for keepers file.
Voodoo For Two is the fun and sexy sequel to Voodoo on the Bayou. These two former lovers are back in each other’s lives and dealing with not only bad voodoo but dangerous activist that are willing to resort to putting lives in danger to get their point across.
Lucie LeBieu wants nothing more than to leave Bayou Miste, and live a life that isn’t full of the worry of having enough money to pay this month’s bills. Her grandmother is none-other than the Madame LeBieu, the Voodoo priestess of the bayou, and her twin sister Lisa is the whore of the bayou that everyone assumes Lucie is just like. When you have to live down the reputations of your relatives and work as a skimpy dressed cocktail waitress you would think those would be your biggest problems, but Lucie gets herself into bigger trouble when she tries her hand at a love spell which doesn’t just get her intended person but also the one man that crushed her heart years ago. Can she undo this spell and still get out of the bayou before he gets the chance to break her heart again?
Ben Boyette is undercover and back in Bayou Miste. Seven years ago he left with his heart in many pieces, and being back home brings him face to face with the woman that did that to him. His problem is that he still feels what he felt before, but can he resist the feelings she brings out in him?
These two seriously need to be knocked on the back of the head tied up in the same room and forced to talk. They both have misconceptions of what happened in the past, but their misunderstandings lead them to have quite humorous collisions. I really hope we get to make more visits to Bayou Mistie, because it is quite the fun town.
I’m ready to see what happens to Lucie’s two best friends Alex and the goofy but sweet Calliope. I can’t recommend this book and series!! I hope y’all love it as much as I do!!
The LeBieu family is back. But, this time, it's Lucie weaving the voodoo magic. The only problem?
Lucie isn't very good at it.
When Mamere LaBieu receives a foreclosure notice, her granddaughter decides that a rich husband would be the perfect solution to everyone's problems. Conveniently, Eric Littington, congressional candidate and fair-haired son of the town's wealthiest family, just happens to be in Bayou Miste. Inconveniently, so is Lucie's ex, Ben Boyette.
So, Lucie cooks up a love spell, charms a 'love bug', and sets it loose to weave its magic. Which wouldn't be too bad ... if Ben hadn't gotten in the way, been (literally) hit by the 'love bug', and then managed to turn it loose on an unsuspecting town.
Of course, this is Lucie the Voodoo princess who made a 'gator fall in love with a dog. So, anything can happen. And does.

I was thrilled when Entangled Publishing offered me the chance to read this sequel to Voodoo on the Bayou. Just couldn't wait to see who got hexed, next. And check-in with Craig and Elaine, who do get a few mentions in this one.
This series is part of the publishers Suspense imprint, so there's more to it than a misguided love spell and the ensuing hilarity. Make no mistake, Lucie and her 'love bug' are worthy of more than a few laugh-out-loud moments. Underlying the romance, however, is the reason that Eric and Ben are back in Bayou Miste.
There's mystery, suspense, and some serious danger for our intrepid trio. But, as my ARC was not a final version, I dare not say more.
I will say, this is a great, fun read. And, I guar-on-tee, you'll hit the floor laughing over Lucie's attempts to capture her havoc-wreaking 'love bug'.

*This is my honest to goodness, straight from the heart review*
I give Elle James’ Voodoo for Two 3 stars. It was a decent book with an interesting plot line in which the sexy bayou beauty, Lucie, weaves a tangle of webs when she casts a Love Spell on the town’s perfect, rich, romantic, politician, Eric. Of course, it can’t be so simple when her ex-boyfriend from seven years ago, Ben, comes storming back into her life at the same time she is trying to grasp a proposal from Eric. Her world just keeps getting more and more chaotic when tempers fly and emotions run hot. To top it off, there is someone looking to take Eric, and anyone he cares, about to their grave. It seems to me that this book has a lot to offer (and it does), but, unfortunately, there is still too much potential, too many things left undone that leaves me feeling dissatisfied with the book overall. There were also several points in the plot that seem too far-fetched to be considered plausible in anyway. (aka, the allusive ladybug that somehow seems to keep making appearances when they are looking for it). The reactions between Ben and Lucie are also a little off kilter in the beginning of the book when they first make their initial interactions after having been separated (and supposedly hating) each other for seven long years. Don’t get me wrong, they were always hot and steamy, but in the category of stretching the believable.
I enjoyed the Elle James’ writing and her creativity with words and imagery that brought scenes to life. I found this extremely imperative for someone who is not familiar with Cajun culture.
Voodoo for Two by Elle James continues the rollicking times in Bayou Miste started in Voodoo on the Bayou. Lucie and Ben were sweethearts and lovers seven years ago. He’s back and she’s still there. Their feelings haven’t changed, except for the addition of anger on top of everything else.
Lucie wants out of Bayou Miste. So, with the help of her two best friends, she concocts a love potion. Sadly for Lucie, her voodoo prowess is nothing like her grandmother’s. The problem is, it has to be attached to a bug and when said bug gets loose in Bayou Miste, all sorts to of zany pairings and unpairings start cropping up. Lucie gets her man, up and coming Congressional candidate, Eric Littington. Problem is, Ben is looking to get back into Lucie’s good graces despite himself.
Ben is back in Bayou Miste, but he’s there to protect Eric. Someone wants Eric out of the race and they aren’t too picky about how that happens. Between protecting Eric, trying to figure things out with Lucie and watching Eric and Lucie together, Ben is ready to lose his mind and his heart all over again. When the danger and the heat escalate, Ben is desperate to protect Lucie, but can he protect himself too?
This installment in the Bayou Miste books is fun and exciting, even with the stereotypical characters. A clumsy ending made this a less than excellent read for me, though and what could have been a solid 4 rating dropped to a 3 as a result.

REVIEWED BY: Monique Neaves, My Book Addiction Reviews
This is the second Elle James book that I have read. I fell in love with her characters and writing style with the first book, Voodoo in the Bayou, and was looking forward to this next installment. I recieved both books from the author in return for honest reviews. I didn't read the blurb beforehand - so I was surprised by the love triangle that we have in this story, even though the title is a giveaway on that idea.
Elle James has once again created characters that a reader can really invest in. I feel in love with Ben Boyette as soon as I met him and so I got frustrated with the love triangle more quickly than normal. Eric too is a great character, but all truly hopeless romantics want the girl to go for the man she is head over heels for instead of the "perfect" guy. The idea of true love and what you are willing to give, give up on, and give up for are ones we all think about - or at least should.
I enjoyed the story, but felt it dragged at times. I had a hard time with a couple things:
First, Lucie searching for and finding (more than once) her love bug - it seems to me that it would be much harder to locate a specific lady bug in the bayou. Second, the return of Lucie's mother - I was expecting more expansion here, but the explanation that we get is complete and realistic enough.
All in all, I truly enjoyed the story. I loved the characters, I was thrilled with the ending, and I can't wait for more books from Elle James. This book is well worth the read.
I've been a fan of Elle James since I read her first Harlequin Intrigue years ago, so even though I hadn't read any of the books in this series, I was thrilled to get the ARC and give it a try. Twenty pages in, I was cursing my bad internet connection that wouldn't let me get online so I could order the first book in the Cajun Magic series to read as well. I have fallen in love with this town, and the characters in it. Lucie and Ben are wonderful characters and have fantastic chemistry. Lucie gave up her relationship with Ben seven years ago so he could follow his dream of the police academy, and now with him back in town, she's desperate to get away, and to save her grandmother's house, so she turns to a voodoo love spell to try to catch a rich suitor. Even though Lucie gets the attention of the rich Eric, which is what she thinks she wants, she has to deal with her feelings for Ben, and her guilt over using the spell, and then letting the bug that was carrying it escape into the town. The funniest scene in the book had to be Lucie and her friends Alex and Calliope in a boat in the swamp trying to catch the love bug and being attacked by what seems like every bug on the bayou. The ending was great and I think the length was just right. Even with loving Lucie and Ben and wanting them together, I loved Eric, the other man who wants Lucie as well, and who she thinks is the right guy for her. I hope he's the hero of the next book, and I really hope that next book is out soon!
What a good time in the bayou with the steam factor. Love that we go back to Bayou Miste in book 2 for more Voodoo times in the bayou. Poor Lucie , she really wants out of Bayou Miste and has been for awhile. With BFF likes hers, they help her concoct of a plot to get her out and get her to where she wants to go. But the bad news it doesn’t work the way it was supposed to and now all sorts of mischief is happening. Mischief like Lucie and her ex-boyfriend Ben being matched back up together. LOL Anything can happen in the bayou. Ben is her love from years ago but due to what he termed her rejection of him, he left her. There is more to the back story so you really need to read book 1—suffice to say, you will love Ben…I did NOT like Eric for Lucie. That is who she is dating in the beginning of the book..Maybe, just maybe Lucie did something right with her voodoo magic (smile) My only difficulty is the story seem to come in starts and stops. The flow was there and would stop. I also wanted more HEAT between Ben and Lucie. It seemed as though their story was a foregone conclusion , not like it was meant to be. Don’t get me wrong, I did like this story and would love to read more in the Bayou stories, its just—this could have had more oomph. I do recommend still you reading it for it’s a good romantic fun book to read.
My Rating: 3.9 stars **** *A gifted copy was provided by the author for my honest review*
Give me a witchy voodoo book with steam enough to keep me reading long into the night and you have a happy reader and reviewer. I fell in love with Elle's writing style in the first book and really enjoyed the second. Magic, mayhem and a love triangle spice up the bayou in this fun summer read.
Lucie LeBieu wants to leave Bayou Miste and she really wishes she had a normal family. Steeped in voodoo, her grandma is the local priestess and her sister is the town trollop. If this wasn't bad enough, Lucie tries a love spell and it goes really wrong. I won't tell you how, only that it sends her back in a direction that she would really rather not go. The past is the past. Ben is an undercover cop and is back in the bayou. Seeing Lucie after so long and after she had broken his heart has him turned into knots. The two lovers clash but what really needs to happen is a long conversation and some make up sex.
I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to more by the author. I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
*steamy scenes *great characters *fun read *voodoo fun
This was a great second book to the series. This time the story focuses on Lucie, the granddaughter of the infamous Voodoo Queen of the Bayou. She has always been more responsible than her twin sister, Lisa. Lucie decides to try to save her grandmother's house from foreclosure and get herself out of the swamp with a lovebug voodoo spell. Only Lucie isn't very good with it and has always gotten herself into trouble with it. Her target is Eric Littington, the most eligible bachelor in the parish that has come back home to campaign for Congress. Not only does her lovebug spell work on him but it seems half the parish. What she didn't count on was her ex-fiancee coming back to town and stirring her emotions and opening old wounds. When she realizes that having someone fall in love with you because of a spell and not of their own freewill it just isn't right. She knows she has to get her grandmother's help to put things right but that will take her facing her past. But be warned this book can get as steamy as southern nights!
I was given an advanced ecopy of this book by the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I give this book 3 sweet Beignets ;)
If you are looking for a fun and sexy read, Voodoo for Two is just the kind of book you need.
The story is set in Bayou Mist. In this story we follow Ben Boyette & Lucie Lebieu.
When Lucie is desperate to leave the Bayou, she turns to Voodoo Magic. The only problem is, she's not that good at it ... LOL!!! Lucie wants to live a different kind of life and the only person she wants for this new life is Eric. With the help of a bug on the loose she goes out to get what she wants. But is it really what her heart desires?
When her ex-boyfriend comes back after 7 years, her plans are turned up side down and old feelings come back to take front stage in her heart. These 2 hard-headed individuals have great chemistry together.
The cast of characters are very entertaining and I found myself LOL in many occasions, especially with her friends Alex & Calliope ;)
Lucie LeBieu wants to get out of Bayou Miste, Louisiana. The granddaughter of the local Voodoo queen, she is willing to try some magic to make that happen. Eric Littington (attorney, son of the richest man in the parish, and running for US Representative) and Ben Boyette (an undercover investigator on special assignment to protect Eric, posing as a bug exterminator and he is Lucie's former boyfriend) are the two magical men. Ben has been gone for ten years but has never really gotten over Lucie nor is she over him. Anyway, some dangerous events start happening around Eric and Lucie. Ben finds it hard to provide protection for Eric without wanting to get closer to Lucie. Who will Lucie end up with?
This second book in the Cajun Magic Mysteries series was just as enjoyable to read as the first book.
This is book 2 in the Cajun Magic Mystery series but it can be read as a standalone.
This was a very fun book to read. It’s a bit of a departure from Elle James usual stories but it still contains her style of sexy heat and descriptive prose. The departure is that there’s more humor in Voodoo for Two, along with a bit of magic, mystery and suspense. This book is also a bit longer than her average story so if you’re looking for something with a little more to it than a category length book this would be a good choice.
The characters and their story were entertaining and kept me glued to my ereader for a few hours of enjoyable reading.

Another fun romance by Elle James, this book introduces us to Lucie, a head strong girl who is determined to help save her grandmother’s house. Desperate to help, she casts a love spell to try and snag a rich man. Her plan seems fool proof, until her old love, Ben, comes back in to town. Ben is a sexy police officer who has a storied past with Lucie. When he crosses paths with her again, he ends up in the middle of her mess, and must work to keep her safe.
The books that Elle James writes are SO MUCH FUN. I love the setting in the bayou, I love the chemistry she creates between the characters, and I love the mystery she weaves in to every story. I cannot wait to find out what she has in store next for this awesome series.
I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review....
Trouble, exciting, and dangerous. Lucie is always confused for her sister Lisa. Her grandmother is a Voodoo Witch but she has not inherited the powers. She decides to try her hand at the Voodoo one more time anyway just incase. She needs to find love to get her life on track and this is the way to do it. Problem is she doesn't have the right bug and she loses it just as she tries to cast the spell. She is sure she has cast the spell on the whole town. Oops. To tell her Grandmother or Not? She seems to be caught in the middle of two great guys and doesn't know if it's the spell or not that is causing the attention. When to call in the big guns? Lesson to be learned Don't mess with the Voodoo.
I received an e-arc of Voodoo for Two by Elle James from the publisher for an unbiased review. Thank you.
Voodoo for Two by Elle James has a captivating and well-crafted storyline. Early on, this book was annoying because of a barroom scene in which Leroy, a patron, is harassing Lucie, one of the female workers. My first impression was that the outcome of the situation didn’t enhance the story. However, just when I thought that I didn’t want to read any further, there was a turn of events and I just couldn’t put the book down. Read More Here
Elle James has written a sexy tale that caught me in its spell. I enjoyed the exploits of Lucie LeBieu and her grandmother, the Voodoo Queen. Desperate to escape from the bayou, Lucie practices a little love magic and creates instant havoc. Now she has two men in love with her. Who will she choose? Ben her former finance who she has never forgotten or Eric, the town golden boy who can offer her the world. To further complicate matters, her life is in danger and the mother who abandoned her 20 years ago has returned. Poor Lucie! I enjoyed the fast paced, humorous story.

This book is full of magic and I really loved the lady bug.
Lucie has a twin sister and everyone always mistakes her for her sister. She finds out that her grandma is going to lose her house. Lucie is never good at magic but she comes up with a plan to do a love spell and get her a rich man.
The only thing is she didn't count on Ben coming back and ruin everything. She loved him and let him go and always waited for him to come back to her.
I enjoy reading books by this author and I always get a great story with wonderful characters. Her books are always so hot and it's hard to not get lost in her books.
Elle James is a new-to-me author and one that I would not hesitate to read again. Voodoo for Two is a very cute, fun read with a touch of magic and a hot Cajun. When Lucie casts a love spell to capture the heart of the local aspiring politician to help her in her quest to 'get outta Dodge' she realizes that maybe true love is what she is really looking for. Old flame Ben is just the answer she is looking for, even though she digs in her heals to never go down that path again. So when the 'love bug' she has set loose on the town creates havoc in her plans Lucie re-evaluates her desires goes with what her heart has always known. I really enjoyed the lol moments while Lucie finds her way.
Elle James is a new author for me so when given the opportunity to read her book I was excited. Being an avid reader, I can't believe I haven't read her books before. Intertwined with rich humor, mystery and great plot the book flows nicely. I fell in love with the bayou and the characters. The heroine who is also headstrong sets out to save her family and it backfires in a humorous way which I thoroughly enjoyed. This leads the heroine to meet up with an old flame. I will not give out any more spoilers however this is an excellent read. I'm anxiously anticipating her next book. Happy Reading :)
This is the second in a series about a small town in South Louisiana. There is a mention of the main two characters from the first book and a few of the minor characters are back in this installment. I enjoyed the book and found it humorous as well....Lucie casting a voodoo spell to make someone fall in love with her...doesn't she know that you can't do that?! There is a little bit of mystery to it too, as there was with the first book.
I enjoyed it and will be reading the third book in the near future. This is a fun series.

Lucie needs a man, one with lots of money, who will marry her and save the family home from foreclosure. Sure, the last time she worked a love spell a gator fell in love with a dog, but surely she'll get it right this time...even if she does substitute a lady bug for a love bug. What she ends up with is two men who fall for her...now she has to choose.
Sexy and funny, this book kept me turning the pages to the end.
