Robyn received a book from her big sister and immediately fell in love with Cinderella. Sprinklings of magic, deepest wishes come true - she was hooked! Picture books with glass slippers later gave way to romance novels. When she was older, she wanted to write one.

However, in junior high, Robyn hit a stumbling block - a disheartening grade of one out of ten for a book review. Confused and hurt, she asked her hundred-and-thirty-year-old English teacher why the low mark? The wizened schoolmarm sniffed, "You obviously had a senior do it for you." Thankfully Robyn's business teacher was a honey.

Following a fifteen-year career behind the scenes in television, Robyn knew the time was right to pursue her dream of becoming a published author. Late in 2004, she received a phone call from a London editor. She'd submitted a manuscript to the Sweet line, which were featuring lighter, sexier stories to be released under the Tango banner. The editor was very interested in her story, but for a brand new line.

Robyn didn't stop smiling for a week, but sometime later learned her revised manuscript hadn't hit the mark. Then she received another call and another request for revisions to a second manuscript! That didn't sell either. On a third manuscript she received a very long, very detail email, asking for, what would turn out to be, a complete rewrite. Having torn out most of her hair, but with 13 contest finals in 2006 (including winning the Golden Pen and Where the Magic Begins), she finished the rewrite then contacted a New York agent. That wonderful agent took her on, and Robyn sold in a matter of weeks, first to Silhouette Desire, then Modern Heat (Sexy Sensation/Presents) with a two book deal! She is currently writing manuscript number fourteen.

Robyn lives with her own modern-day hero on Australia's Sunshine Coast with their three little princesses, as well as two poodles and a cat called Tinkie. She has majors in English literature and psychology, and loves new shoes, worn jeans, visits to the theatre and lunches at picturesque Moffat Beach with her writer friends.

Good book. Taryn has been hired as a producer and has an idea for a travel show. Cole is not impressed with the idea, but he is attracted to her. When they are on the scouting trip, their attraction escalates and they act on it. After they return to Sydney they spend time together over the next week. Taryn is working on the details of her show and Cole is dealing with many issues at work and with his family. But they manage to be with each other and Cole enjoys their time, until reality intrudes. He is overwhelmed with work and starts to pull back from their relationship. He also makes doing her job impossible to the point where she quits. I really liked Taryn. She is smart and determined and has some great ideas. She also has no trouble with telling Cole when he's being a pill. I liked the way she stood by him when he was having problems with his family. She had no trouble with balancing her life and her work. Cole was a little harder to like. He seemed to be very rigid when it came to his work. He felt he was responsible for overseeing everything, and therefor kept work as his top priority. I did like how good he was with his little brother. It showed he did have a heart, even if he had trouble showing it. I liked the way that Taryn was able to help him relax, but wanted to smack him when he was being such an ass about her show. I loved the way that he finally saw where he had been going wrong with his life. I thought his apology to Taryn at the end was fantastic, and his actions were so romantic. The epilogue setting up the next book was good - I just wish I didn't have to wait so long for it!

LOSING CONTROL by author Robyn Grady is from the miniseries `The Hunter Pact' and is book one. Cole Hunter's story. An October 2012 release from Harlequin Desire.

Cole Hunter was used to looking after everything and taking charge so when he butts head with headstrong TV producer, Taryn Quinn, sparks fly.

Taryn was depending on Cole to give her the go ahead for her latest project. But Cole was intrigued by Taryn herself rather than her project! Yet would Cole give the all clear to Taryn? And what of the simmering attraction between them? Cole is tempted but would he act on it? And who wants to kill his father? Would Cole get the answer to this question? Someone shot at his father and there were other attempts on his life.

LOSING CONTROL is a mixture of boardroom and island romance. It has scorching hot and sensual love scenes as well as emotional connection between Taryn and Cole. Robyn Grady's latest offering LOSING CONTROL really packs an emotional punch along with some very steamy scenes. And is chock full of sassy dialogue. There is mystery and thrill in this romance which is addictive. Looking forward to more from this miniseries.

The world of television is a difficult place in which to build a career, so competitive and subject to constantly changing trends. After Taryn Quinn's career had recently suffered an unlucky setback, she'd been elated when hired by Guthrie Hunter, a captain of the media industry. Guthrie Hunter was impressed by Taryn's original and refreshing ideas for new television shows. But Taryn's joy was short-lived when Hunter's son, the autocratic Cole, made it clear that her staying with the company depends on his say so. Initially taken aback by Cole's attempts to put her in her place, Taryn decides to give this opportunity her best shot. Cole Hunter can hardly believe it when his attempts to assert his ego by humiliating Taryn backfires and leaves him wearing a glass of the best vintage wine.

Taryn's an amazing woman. She does the unthinkable - humiliates the boss right back - and gets away with it. She never compromises on her dignity and integrity. That woman has class and I want some of that too. Cole, rather than wanting to throw Taryn out on the street, finds himself wanting to spend more time with her - on any pretext. A fact finding mission to a spot to be featured in a reality show proposed by Taryn gives the pair the opportunity to shed their inhibitions and get to know each other. The sparks are guaranteed to fly. Can they get past their issues and do something about the attraction that's buzzing between them? This is a Harlequin Desire novel, so high level drama and passion is guaranteed.

I enjoyed this flawlessly written romantic novel, set in a high pressured world. The interaction between Cole and Taryn fascinated me. I just had to know how it all worked out.

I've just found a new favourite author. Robyn Grady is good. This book is the first in her Hunter Pact Series, about a powerful family. I look forward to reading the future volumes from this series.

I was hooked from the explosive beginning; I happily rode the roller coaster ride of intrigue and family drama and before I knew it, I'd reached the gripping finale... which by then I was hoping the two fiercely independent characters, Cole and Taryn will find their happy ever after.

Welcome to the first book of Robyn Grady's new series The Hunter Pact. In Losing Control you meet TV Studio Boss and eldest brother Cole. He is very passionate about his responsibilities in his families Media Empire; desperate to find out who is making attempts on his fathers life as well as trying to figure out his new employee Taryn, who his father hired without his permission.

Taryn is trying to launch a new Travel TV series which Cole doesn't think will work so he challenges Taryn to prove to him her series will be a ratings hit. Cole accompanies Taryn to her first location, a hidden tropical paradise in the Pacific where it's not long before it's more than just the sun heating things up!

Losing Control is such a breath of fresh air! It's full of witty dialogue which had me chuckling more than once. The locations are described beautifully, so much so it's like you're on the Pacific Island with them. Both Cole and Taryn are very likeable characters and the extra bonus of having little bit of intrigue thrown in make for an exciting, fast paced and super charged passionate story.

I cant wait for the next installment of The Hunter Pact!

Just when I thought Robyn Grady 's writing could not get any better she has once again completely amazed me,in this her best book yet.

The characters were passionate, delightful and oh so good together! Taryn (btw Robbie I totally adore the name) was held her own and she had loads of class which to me was absolutely delightfully refreshing!

I also really, really loved how Cole got a little of his own back as Taryn was able to give as good as she got,and the manner in which the author described the stunning Pacific Island with such intense detail was exquisite and writing at it's best !

Robbie keep up the amazing work !

Overall a good book....I rounded up to 4 from 3.5. The desire books are not my go to...but I enjoyed the characters. I would have liked to have seen a little more fiery moments that were depicted at the restaurant but their attraction took over. The heroine was a strong character. The hero was the one who had to make the greatest change. It was nice to see him give over some of that “control” and have a life. The ending was very romantic....There is a subplot in the story about the H’s father and attempts made on his life. I am assuming this will continue through the series. I am not a big plan of subplots, but this did not overwhelm the main story so I was ok with it. I liked the book enough to seek out the 2nd one in the series...Temptation on his Terms.

Una novela corta sin más. Está bien, es entretenida, pero tampoco es la bomba.

I loved the book and the story line. Taryn and Cole were a great romantic duo. I loved how their romance developed. I have two theories about the father and step-mother either they are both faking the attempts on his lives to bring the family closer or the step-mother is trying to kill the father. She was blatantly flirting with her step-son. I just want the step-mother caught cause she is a gold digger.

I really enjoyed this book, Robyn Grady Did an excellent job bringing Taryn and Cole to life. Taryn was a take charge and take no crap heroine, while Cole was the workaholic boss who seemed to give Taryn crap as easily as kisses. Together they made for an enjoyable book.
