3.5 stars. The story line was good, I just didn't connect with Damon in this one. This one was more serious than Falling Deeper. It had a few funny parts still. If you've read FD I def recommend you reading this one as well. I can't wait to see what else Lucia puts out there for us!

First one was better
I couldn't stomach Tracey. She was the cliche naive woman in love with rose colored glasses. The man blatantly told you it was one night and yet for some mystical reason despite hearing that because she was in love with him thought it would change everything for them even with her lame premise for lying about her virginity. Then had the nerve to play victim when it didn't go as she'd planned in her head when he got angry. I'm seriously like WTF is wrong with this chick. Yes he could have been smoother about it but you lied because he didn't "ask" Lmao it's your body woman!!!!!! Someone needed to smack her if she'd been real. She's lucky she wasn't and got her HEA because most guys mean one night even when they are your BFF. Needless to say I DNF, but knew it was going to end in an HEA despite all the warning signs this chick clearly displays for crazy.

One a shy girl and one a play boy scorned the author is amazing as she brings these to together and have them grow to 2 people accepting of love great read highly recommend

Whereas Kayson and Ember gave us gritty, raw, and cut throat deep...Ace and Damon are a slower and sweeter burn. First compliment of this review goes to Miss Lucia's depth in writing. Stilling Falling has such a different tambour although we deal with some heavier hitting topics. And there were DEFINITELY some tense moments
Damon....holy wow! He is one sexy officer. It is hard not to fall for his caveman ways as they come straight from the heart. His beautiful but secretly broken soul was almost the end of me for a bit there...but no worries...it is romance after all.
Ace!!!! THIS GIRL! Small but knows how to KICK SOME BUTT! She is passionate about the shop and I just love it. I think most girls can relate to her as they've had a long winded secret crush...however this girl loves her some Damon and I would have not survived if she didn't grab him.
Their fights could set a match on FIRE. Explosive. They are just explosive. It makes you go wide eyed. Your shoulders will tense! But no worries...they makeup makes it worth it.
Also, Lucia NAILS the comedic relief. Just nails it. Was very happy to get some Sam back. Girl can crack me up in the most emotional of times.
This book was even better than the first and I LOVED the first. This author...she is here to stay! Cannot wait for more of Pleasant Beach.

So What can I say except I am in Love with this book.
This is Damon and Tracey's book. We met them in FD. When first reading this I was surprised how intense Damon was, just because he seemed quite laid back he seemed in book 1. The thing is though it totally worked for him, Yh he could be an Ass and at times I wanted to slap some sense into him but Damon has issues. You do find out why he is so reluctant to have a relationship with Tracey keeping her at arms length.
Tracey loved Damon and has done for years, but he keeps her at arms length until something happens to Tracey and he realises he cant be without her. He made her no promises and at times I thought Tracey would give up on him. But their Love is a forever Love.
What I Loved about this book is how much Lucia has progressed and grown as an author. There so much more depth to this book. It will keep you hooked, make you angry, smile, laugh.
Go give this relatively new author a chance, you wont regret it. xx

Damon and Ace finally get their story. I became a huge Damon fan after reading Falling Deeper. So I was excited to learn more about all the layers to his character: Damon the Cop, Damon the boyfriend, Damon the friend, Damon the protector, Damon the Ladies Man and Damon the troubled soul. It was touching to see him evolve and overcome his demons to find the way to his Ace. We knew Tracey as the fiercely loyal and great friend, who was there to help pick up the pieces when Ember's heart shattered. I was happy to see their whole girl squad was in full force in this book as well. Damon and Ace have loved each other since they were kids, whether he could admit it or not. After one night together, their lives were forever changed. Their story did not disappoint!

Wow, Damon and Tracy, grew up living next door to each other, she has loved him since then, he has had feels for her too, but something happened to him in his early childhood, that left him tainted, felt he couldn't love, give love. Grown up feelings still there, but Damon definitely a ladies man, one nighters, no more. Then after Kayson and Embers wedding, he and Tracy, well, yep finally both give in, hot, intense, then something happens and Damon's anger/ insecurities show up again. Great, beautiful story! A must read.
