ANGELA DORSEY currently lives on Vancouver Island and is thoroughly enjoying the ocean breezes, awesome hiking, and lack of snow! In the past, she has lived in a number of small towns throughout B.C., and loved them all.

She loves hiking, traveling, and animals, and has a tendency to name her pets after things that remind her of her coastal home, such as Misty, Raven, and Cedar.

Angela writes novels, screenplays, and non-fiction, and has a number of literary publications (short stories, poems, and postcard stories) and articles published as well.

All secrets are out in the open and I wasn’t expecting things to go down like that at all! I had theories, sure, but it seems all of them are wrong? I for sure thought Evy’s gift with horses was going to be why her grandmother wants her, but no she just wants to own/collect her??? I have no idea frankly, and I’m a little puzzled by all this and feel that not doing so was a missed opportunity.

There is a bittersweet/sad scene at the end with the death of an old pet, so keep that in mind if you’re sensitive to that—it made me cry—and while it did contribute a bit to my lower rating, I mostly lowered it because I thought the drama with Rusty was dragged on too long, Evy was dumb not to pick up on it WAAY sooner, and I just didn’t care for it.

Not the best book in the series but not bad either.

Erämaan tarinoita oli yksi suosikkikirjasarjoistani nuorempana, ja edelleen Angela Dorseyn kirjoilla on paikka sydämessäni. En kuitenkaan ole saanut sarjan kahta viimeistä osaa käsiini aiemmin kuin nyt. Tämä arvio on täysin subjektiivinen.

Enkelten syksyssä paljastuu viimeinkin Evyn äidin salaisuus, jota on pohdittu sarjan alusta alkaen. Vaikka minulla oli monia erilaisia veikkauksia, yllätyin hieman. Kirja ei silti lässähdä, vaan käy entistä jännittävämmäksi. Halusin jatkuvasti tietää, miten käy seuraavaksi.

Angela Dorsey kuvailee uskottavasti Evyn tunteita suurten muutosten keskellä. Häntä on helppo ymmärtää, ja pidän hänestä minäkertojana. Olen koko sarjan ajan nauttinut siitä, kuinka henkilöiden määrä pysyy pienenä, mutta heissä on myös syvyyttä. Tämä pätee jopa hevosiin, etenkin Rusty ja Twilight ovat ihanan persoonallisia.

Enkelten syksy on hieman synkempi kuin sarjan aiemmat osat, ja se keskittyy erämaassa seikkailun sijasta enemmän ihmissuhteisiin ja salaisuuksiin. Se ei tee kirjasta silti lainkaan huonompaa.

OHMYGOSH Such an epic finale on the big secret that these books have been building me up to! It's been such a long time since a series has captivated me so much that I can't put the books down most of the time. I'm sure I will be sorry to finish the last book.

It was the worst winnies on the wind book ever! Loonie the German Shepard dies and it very very sad!

I didn't like her dad or the way Rusty acted! Loonie dies and it was so sad!!

Probably honestly the best book so far, just thanks to the payoff of a lot of the hinting to what's up with Evy's mom. I cared about the doggo, that was sad.
