I had to change my review. I rated the wrong *face meet palm* this book was good. I loved the characters and the overall writing was great too. This is the first in the series and I have read book 2 as well. Now off to see if I messed up other reviews as well.

Every damaged soul has a past they long to be free of.
I enjoyed reading this book. The book followed well enough to get a good hold on the main characters, understand their dynamics & get a glimpse of what ghosts both of their past hold.
Kyle has 2 roles - successful CEO by day, Man Breaker on the side. On the exterior she is cold hearted, hardened woman, set out to bring men down, ruin them & make them pay. Hired by hurt & scorned women she thinks she has this gig in the bag & that her flawless system will always bring justice.
Kaden Alexander however see things different. Smart, focused & driven to be free of his past, he just knows Kyle isn't all that she seems. Like a moth to a lamp he cant stay away. Oh did i mentioned he is tall, ripped & tatted.. Yeah... That works for this alpha.
The glimpses into their past had me wanting more, especially Kyle. She is so broken that you wish you could fix her yourself. Kaden with his strong arms & determined mindset, may prove to be the only person able to set her free.

I really enjoyed this well written book by M.S.L.R. about 2 damaged souls coming together. Kyle (AKA Liz) Simmons is a CEO of a manufacturing company who has a haunting experience in her past (which you will discover before the end of the book) and she also helps scorned women get back at the men who use and abuse them (for a price) She contracts to help a woman "destroy" her ex-scumbag Damian Alexander, who as it turns out, is NOT what Kyle was lead to believe! On a weekend away to meet her "boyfriend's" family, Kyle meets the bad-boy adopted brother with a mysterious past, Kaden, who happens to have discovered what Kyle does as a sideline. Things get very hot, very quickly and Kyle and Kaden's story will take you on a wild ride involving danger, some violence and a bit of a cliff hanger. I can't wait to see what happens next!

I love finding new authors I have never read before. I picked up Disarmed and this book grabbed me. It was full of surprises. I had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen. I really enjoyed the dialogue and the story line. Once I started reading I stayed up way into the night, this novel just sucked me in. The only thing I did not expect was the ending, the novel I believe will be part of a series, but you can count on me to be reading to find out what happens. I was given an advanced readers copy for an honest review and I was happy to discover this author. I will be looking for her novels in the future.

M.S.L.R captures the characters well, you can feel the heat between them and with many a twist and turn along the way you just keep on turning, searching for the answers.

I received an advance review copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I found this book to be a really quick read where I couldn't put it down. The twists in this book kept me reading until it was done. M.S.L.R. has an amazing writing style that makes you want her to write faster so that you can get the next book from her.
The 3 main characters are well written and very easy to relate to.... Until the next book....

A quick read- it was slow for me at the start but I enjoyed the second half, although I would have liked more depth to the characters and storyline.

A fast paced read, Disarmed is intriguing from the start.
Kyle Simmons is a no-nonsense woman with a mission. Payback is the name of the game. She was doing things just right until she meets Kaden while on a job with Kaden's brother Damian. After having a difficult start and then being adopted by a loving family, Kaden takes nothing for granted and protects what he deems is his, especially his family. When Kaden lays eyes on Kyle, she disarms him in more ways than one.
This was my first read from this author. With a strong plot line and some steamy scenes, Disarmed holds your attention till the end. However, the story does not live up to a 5 star potential. While the interaction between Kaden and Kyle was explosive, I felt the story between the two was rushed in more than one place and not fully developed. There are great hints to the characters depth but I couldn't shake the thought that something was missing. The other thing that left me unsettled was the rushed nature of the ending of the story. While I can not say that this story was not for me because a kickass heroine and a reformed bad boy totally grabs my attention, this author has a novellete and not a novel with a potential for something more.

Disarmed isn't your average read. It's dark, hot and filled with secrets. This book is the story of Kyle Simmons, a CEO and Man Breaker, and the mysterious Kaden Alexander.
Broken by their pasts, Kyle and Kaden take you to a journey full of vengeance and justice. It's not everyday you meet a heroine that has a strong persona. The hero being an alpha makes the heroine realize that she's not too broken beyond repair.
MSLR's work is such a puzzle that will make you guess about the H and h past, and if they will have the HEA that they deserve.
If you are into dark reads that have a alpha hero and strong-willed heroine in them, Disarmed is surely for you!

I loved this book. it kept me on my toes. the story line I s very unique and not like any other book! I can't wait for the second book!

This was the first book that I've read by this author so I had no idea what to expect. It took me a while to get into this story, and by the time I was enjoying it (the last 30%) it was finished.
The concept behind this book was good, although I felt the inconsistencies made the first few chapters hard to get into it. Eg, Liz said Damien never mentioned to her that Maiden was his business partner and adopted brother, but just a few hours previously on the private plane, Damien told her who his brother was. Those things stuck in my head.
I did like Kaiden, he was one of the only characters that was the same throughout, so although Kyle/Liz was more likeable in the last 30%, it left me unsure of the person she was going to be.
I will go on to read book 2, just to see where this story goes, because I feel that there might be more to this story.
