This was book 7 of many in a long series. Overall I liked the book but found the story dragging as it got wrapped up in a lot of battle details - I found myself skipping ahead to get through all the details and continue with the overall story-line. Book 7 reminded me of some of the first two books in the series as they dragged a bit in all the training details. Book seven starts seeing some of the Archons getting strange powers that they are struggling to understand / control. I expect this is another evolutionary step in Star Force abilities to one day fight the aliens that once enslaved humans. I'm off to book 8 :-)

These books have some great ideas and characters, but they are longer than misery: even the space combat is tedious. That is because they are overstuffed; there are 86 or so books in total, but this author is no Patrick O'Brian. He could say what he needs to say with far fewer words. The other bone I should pick is the idea that with constant physical training and exertion, humans can stay fit and young for centuries. Why they go and do this is a mystery, as they don't have hobbies, social or physical relationships and live on junk food. That would get tired after a while, and they come across as cranky, cliquish narcissists. Not fun.

Very good book, wonder why there are not that many reviews.

I enjoyed this book tremendously, I enjoyed the world building the only problem I have is I believe there should be more action in the book and some more character development. I love all the present day Memes such as time we wind me Star Trek Doctor Who, if anybody who likes shows like these will enjoy all the callbacks in the book. I know I’m early in the series but I think the book deserves more readership give it a try.

Fun read

I'm enjoying this series. Author is good at moving on before things get old. What happened to the doctor recruit a few books ago? Did I miss something? If you like video games like halo or star wars you should like this series.

I have been reading Star Force from Book One and it still keeps me spell bound and wanting to read more. Star Force is the best Science Fiction Series I have ever written and I have read thousands of books an probably over 500 series.

More of the same good stuff!

I like the increase in abilities of the characters. It will take time, but some of them should eventually trikle down to us plain folks. Yeah, spelling.

Great!

The adventures continue wit familiar characters , new allies and enemies and familiar space wars. Earthlings are gaining respect in space but have new problems on earth. Archons are still evolving.

La sèrie cada dia es poda més i més interessant! Malgrat algun qie altre error d’escriptura i la relativament poca profunditat inicial dels personatges, llibre a llibre aquests ban agafant més i més forma.
M’agrada!

Traitor amongst the alliance
Bad war planning and strategy by the alliance
New powers causing mental issues, hopefully Kara can help Jason!

The story continues the war gets more gruesome killing over 10,000 soldiers in one act. The humans are getting stronger and they are gaining a little headway.

Hey space opera on ambrosia!

I've read hundreds of sci-fi books today. And today I have not found a story as deep ,involving A base group of characters that will be around literally forever. And ever expanding galaxy of good and evil. And enough side stories Interested regardless oh how the main story goes.Best part being I'm only 30And they're 70 more to go .

Better than t.v. series!

I don't look at any t.v. shows anymore. I just buy the series newest season released and just watch it.
