Pop star Ryuu Shiwasuda still isn’t a fan of losing, so it’s a good thing he doesn’t have to... much. His lover Hiro does tend to be better at the games they play – even when the game in question happens to be an unexpected bout of roleplaying of the “hooker and john” variety.
But then, there really aren’t any losers in a game like that, right? At least that’s Ryuu’s position, and he’s sticking to it.
“Walk the Walk” is a slice of life story set after the “Learning How to Lose, in Six Easy Steps” trilogy, and features a large percentage of hot sex. It also includes unexpected sweetness, spontaneous roleplaying, Ryuu being awkwardly sincere in strange moments, Hiro being surprisingly good at being a fake hooker, and more.
PLEASE NOTE:
While it doesn’t contain any actual spoilers, “Walk the Walk” is written as an epilogue rather than a stand-alone story, and builds on the characters and their relationship and history as established in the earlier books. Thus, it may not be as satisfying to read without knowledge of these works.
I am a writer. Mostly, I write gay romance – frequently with an element of the supernatural, fantastical or futuristic.
About Me
It all began when I learned to decipher the alphabet. I soon found that the world was full of wonderful stories – but not all of the tales I wanted to read were being told. In self-defense, I began to write, and haven’t stopped since.
In what little time my busy schedule of reading and writing has left me, I’ve worked as a copywriter, a translator, an English teacher, a linguistics tutor, an alibi S.O., a soap maker, a cloakroom attendant, a bartender, and other such things. Only the jobs that involve writing have stuck.
About My Stories
My primary focus is always on the characters. My goal is to create real, interesting and multi-faceted people and develop relationships that ring true… in the context of a world and a story that grab the reader and don’t let go.
I love fiction for its capacity to explore countless different worlds, ask thousands of different variations on what if.
What if time could flow backwards, what if we could travel to alternate universes, what if magic worked, what if gods and demons walked among us? What if telepathy and/or other such powers existed? What if stories were real, and reality just a fiction?
Not a true epilogue. It’s just an excuse for an extended sex scene, so a disappointment if you want to see where the characters ended up a year later beyond in bed.
I really love Hiro and Ryuu and am so glad to see them again in Walk the Walk. Ryuu and Hiro are out on a date and when Ryuu returns from getting the car finds Hiro being chatted up by a drunk. It turns out the drunk thinks Hiro is a prostitute which isn't at first apparent to Ryuu and Hiro until they drive by some male prostitutes. This lead to come cute funny role plating between Hiro and Ryuu.
Hiro was s dork and really cute for taking the roleplaying so seriously and making Ryuu really work for it. Ryuu awkwardness was endearing and his desperation was all so entertaining in a evilishous way on Hiro's part.
It was funny, cute, sexy, and adorable. I hope we get to see more of them =)
