This children’s book will motivate the kids to take responsibility and keep their room organized. Follow along as little bunny Jimmy and his brothers learn their lesson in this picture book. They learn to work together, clean up their room, and organize their toys.
This book was great because it was a way to impress in a humorous manner the importance of keeping their room clean. The six year old enjoyed the book and was very excited to find that when you purchase the eBook you gain access to a free video book. With funny voices and active pictures it brought the book to life. So she got to hear the same story twice.
The bunnies were cute and were willing to try to do the right thing.
The author targets this book for children ages three to seven. Simple plot centers on three bunny brothers and how they spend a Saturday morning. Their mom tells them she will be visiting granny; they will be staying home with dad. Then she gives them a list of suggestions as to how to spend the day, asking only that they clean their room before she returns. She elicits a promise to comply, and leaves a special dessert for them. Of course the three bunnies procrastinate in cleaning, thinking they have plenty of time left. When Jimmy goes to the room and cannot find his basketball, he cannot find it. What do the boys decide to do? Will they get their room cleaned up in time?
Although the lesson of responsibility is a good one, the plot is fairly predictable. The text font and size of illustrations are rather small for younger children. I could not enlarge it on my kindle HD fire. Recommended as a bedtime story or read aloud, particularly for parents of children who don't enjoy cleaning up.
Ho comminciato imparare Italiano in Luglio 1.
Hehe.
This was a very well written story that was interesting for both kids and adults alike. I particularly liked the tone it was written in...it wasn't overly childish in its dialogue or written in a chastising manner. Nice little story with a sweet ending.
This lovely story has cute images and was a fair length. There is a free story download offered inside. Unfortunately, the story is not written well. It's in need of a thorough edit.
I Love to Keep My Room Clean by Shelley Admont free gift. colorful children's book about the kids and how they can sleep in on the weekend. She will go visit her granny and leave the bunny family at home with dad. They must clean their room and keep the rest of the house clean and organized like it is right now. Talks about what they do while she's gone LOL They do everything but clean the house because they know they have plenty of time... Other works by the author are highlighted at the end.
It's a sunny Saturday morning and three bunny brothers want to sleep in. Their mother is going out so their father will be watching them. She reminds them of the chores they need to do before they can play. She also tells them that if they play in their room then they need to put everything back in it's place once they are done. But will the three bunny brothers listen to her?
I Love To Keep My Room Clean is a cute little book that reminds youngsters the importance of picking up after themselves. Well done illustrations are quite colorful and match the storyline very well. A great way to encourage youngsters the importance of always picking up after themselves.
Why I need to live to keep my room clean? Read this !
What a delightful illustrative ebook to help get the point across to kids of why they need to keep their room(s) clean daily. I recommend this ebook especially for kids ages 3-7 but perhaps also any kids older than this age range who may need to get this idea across well. For these reasons, this is why I felt the ebook needs five stars! I received this ebook free and here now is my review for it in return. Great work Shelley! By Angela
i wanted this book to help teach my kids how to help clean around the house. The rabbits in the book had to learn to have fun and still clean up behind themselves. My kids need to learn the same thing. I thought the book was cute. The graphics were adorable and it taught a lesson.
A lovely story showing how, if you put things away when you’re done with them – they’re easier to find, there isn’t clutter all around and cleaning up with what you’re done with is easier with each thing you’re done with instead to a WGOLE MESS by the end of the day!
This book was chosen for my granddaughter to read aloud to me. She enjoyed the story and also she enjoyed the pictures. I hope the book will help her learn from the bunnies lesson about picking up your stuff when you are done playing!
When I told my daughters the title of the book, both of them groaned at me. Why? Because, kids don't like to clean their rooms. Sure, parents and caregivers can help kids make a game out of cleaning their rooms, but it usually still takes effort. Anyway, my kids agreed to listen to the story so we read it as a bedtime story. We did think the title should be changed to something different to avoid other children not wanting to read the story. We don't really know many kids who actually like to clean their rooms. We did like the story, and the illustrations were nice. The story is about three bunnies who were playing in their bedroom with their toys. They get bored and want to go outside, even though their mom told them to clean up before she gets home. They figure they'll have enough time to clean, so they go outside to play. When the one bunny went back to the bedroom to look for a ball, the story suggests he couldn't believe his eyes with how messy the room was. This was funny to me because most kids don't really care about the mess and don't even notice the mess. After the toy train is broken because the room is so messy that the bunny trips and breaks the train, the bunnies clean up the mess. They make a game of cleaning up, which is a nice way to teach children to make a game of it, but it is unlikely kids would do so without adult encouragement. Then when the toys are all cleaned up, the bunnies don't want to play anymore because they don't want to make another mess to clean up again. I had to laugh again because It is unlikely kids would not want to play just because they don't want to clean up. The bunnies decide that they will play, but only play with one thing at a time and put it away before getting another toy out to play with. Nice idea, but again, it is unlikely children will think of this on their own without adult supervision and encouragement. Overall, there are great lessons for children to learn in cleaning up their rooms. However, the way the story is presented, I'm wondering if children will want to re read the story again to reinforce those lessons. I believe it would still take a lot of encouragement from adults for the lessons to really be learned from this book. Perhaps if the title were different, and the story focused on the broken toy and the importance of keeping a clean room to prevent broken toys. Maybe that would have been a better presentation for kids to understand and carry over into their everyday lives as they play. Jessica D. Adams, Author of The Underground Toy Society
This is adorable. I have this on my phone as an e-book, but there is a free video edition included as well. I’m very excited for my grandchildren to read this. When 3 little bunnies wake up one Saturday morning their mom tells them they can do lots of things. But when she gets home she wants their room to look just like it is now. Can they do it? Fun book and good pictures too My first time reading this author. I bought this through Amazon but I believe it was at no charge. I don’t know if I had a link to get from the author or if it was on a specific giveaway or something. But all the opinions are mine.
Good book for kids in making them understand the importance of a clean room. A good game being taught to keep the room clean. Will read it to my little one.
If I'd read this just in English, it would have gotten 3 stars. But for the memory of reading a book in Japanese, understanding most of it, and learning new words and phrases all on my own, it gets 4.
Este fue un buen libro. Bastante simple para mí entender, pero todavía desafiando para alguien todavía aprendiendo. Tuve que buscar unas palabras. Me gustó la historia general. Por supuesto que sería bueno para los niños.
