Instead of Prince Charming, I got Him.

Skylar
I promised I’d save myself for my wedding night.

Of course, I didn’t know it was going to be a fake marriage to a heavyweight MMA fighter. I couldn’t have known how good it would feel to be pinned under all those muscles and tattoos, squirming, panting, and even whimpering in ecstasy.

None of us knew how deeply he was involved with the mafia.

When he disrespects them, they think they can use me to punish him.

They’re wrong.

He’s a tank in human form.

And he’s coming for me.

Austin
Men tap out inside the ring, women surrender themselves outside of it. That’s always been my specialty.

I chose Skylar because she was so innocent. A good girl like her would help sell my reformed image to the public. To corrupt her and leave her ruined for all other men would be my hottest conquest yet.

But I found more in Skylar than that. Who’d have thought that the first woman I wanted to lay more than once would be my wife?

Now they think they can take away what is mine?

Even if I have to kill every last member of the Bertolini Crime Family…

I’m coming for her.

This book was just HOT. It was just as good as the first in the series. It was very intense at times but was short and enjoyable. I loved seeing the hero and heroine from the first book make a cameo appearance. There's no great story line here. It's just a light, smutty read with no cheating. It's just HOT and yes, I think I rated it high because the sex scenes were so amazing and the H was just so skilled. He knew how to use EVERY part of his body to pleasure the heroine and the fact that he was a ripped and muscled bound MMA fighter was just a little extra. If you're looking for realistic and heart warming, keep clicking on other books but if you're in the mood for hot, smutty, sexy and sweet HEA then try this !

MMA, Mafia, Violent and Brutal 4.5 stars

At 19, Skylar Cross is working harder than ever to make a life for herself. Her Uncle Malcolm got her a job helping him out at No Holds Barred Fighting Championship to escape a hellish life with her abusive father while she trains to become a sports therapist. Only now, her uncle has gone missing, she’s hoping no one notices as she continues working at NHBFC. A request for help from a higher level sports team throws her in the path of Austin ‘The Killer’ Aquila, a rising star in MMA Cage Fighting, and just gazing at Austin’s massive muscles has her panties melting. She’s all wide-eyed innocence and girl-next-door sweetness, and Austin can’t resist the hot challenge of sexually ruining her for other men.

Austin Aquila is one bad, cocky, m@therf*cker. An exceptionally skilled fighter whose specialty is submission in the ring, he expects a shot at the title. Only, the organization’s new Character Development team in the Media Relations division wants him to do a heel-face turn. That is, turn his character from raw and aggressive to Austin ‘Mr. Nice Guy’ Aquila with all the traits of a gentleman. All this media hype also includes him getting married. With Skylar’s good girl image, Austin wants her to help boost his character build-up. Skylar never thought to find husband material in Austin, but he shows her every bit of possession and commitment. And he’s one foul-mouthed, dirty talker that spews all sorts of filthy, sexy promises to Skylar’s inner bad girl. That was way hot! There’s plenty of smokin’ sex and it oozes right off the pages. Austin’s had a bad time growing up and he shares this secret with Skylar. We’ll find later towards the end what kind of connection he has with Jace Barlow, the hero in the first book, Still A Bad Boy.

There’s ton of mafia badness in this story that gives it a gritty, dark and brutal feel to it. Austin’s coach has dealt with the mob and, in turn, has involved Austin in fixing fights. Lots of twists and turns, and my attention was glued from the beginning to end. Beware, lots of F bombs, and raw language, but it’s spot on for MMA fighting and mafia stuff. My only complaints was that the ending was abrupt, and a certain 19 year old’s age was mentioned 4 times in the story, her hoohaa was referred to as “teen petal”. Okay, I cringed at that. Ms. Abbot, though, did a fantastic job blending well-developed characters, sex, and story with a fluid writing style. But hopefully we find her future heroines a bit older, outside an age group that ends in -teen. Just saying, because you know, it’s erotic romance, not YA. Thank goodness for the bonus short story, it helped to calm my inner romantic girly on how Skylar and Austin, Jace and Natalie become a family. Good job, Ms. Scott.

My Thoughts:
This is what happens when my judging a book by its cover comes back to bite me in the ass.I bought this book because I loved the model. Yummy.

As for the book itself I really have no idea whether to rate this book one star or four stars or no stars or two.

In the end I'm going in the middle because I still don't know how to rate this book even after a long debate with myself.

I seriously don't know.

I read this book three times trying to narrow down everything I hated about it and the very few things I actually liked about it and I think there is a sort of fine line between the love to hate and hating it period that kept me reading this book.

I don't know why I let this book get to me but it really did.

I think the first thing I didn't realize is that this was an NA Erotica book when I bought it.

I tend to have issues with NA books to begin with because they can never seem to decide if they're still teeny fans or adult fans or whether the characters are still children or adults either.

This is a serious problem for me in this book because Skylar starts off being twenty then half way through she's nineteen and during the slut shaming sex scenes where Austin repeatedly refers to her as a whore, Skylar's vag is consistently described many ways often using the word teen, teeny, tween pussy... Okay... That was often off putting because I'm not into the whole child/teen description of intimate body parts during violent, role playing, and hard core sex acts.

I didn't like the 'you have no choice in getting on birth control or my using a condom, you're taking it inside you and that's it' statement. That didn't win me over at all. Dominant male spouse or not a woman should have a choice in the matter.

Okay I can dismiss all the crazy sex stuff constantly going on but all the cussing? I seriously lost count how many times Cunt and Fuck were used in a single sentence but you want to draw a picture of how rough and violent these people are so, alright let's cuss all the time. But they're really bad at it. I mean, really bad at it.

But again lets ignore the cursing every other word in every statement and the tiny teen pussy descriptions...

Scott has actually done a fabulous job describing fight scenes, the cage matches which were well written and she's done a great job really bringing Austin and others to life as characters. She has real talent for creating a scene and playing it out so vividly that you can see it clearly in your mind. This really drew me in. Scott has a lot of potential here.

So I could ignore the naughty girl history and the being sold background Austin was supposedly a part of, but the turn of events that brought along a new plot including the mafia... I'm still on the fence about.

Not because they were there or didn't particularly fit in but because of the *surprise* reveal, the announcement and the twist at the end. None of that felt organic to what was happening.

My biggest issue was the last scene with Skylar... Really? I seriously don't know what to make of it. What was the point of it all? The point in her whole history? What was the point in any of it? To make her capable of violence?

What is this book supposed to be? Its not bad by any means, its just... odd.

Despite all of this I have to admit some form of curiosity- even though I have no idea why I'm curious.

I didn't like Skylar together with Austin, I didn't like their relationship, I didn't believe their quickly developed I love you feelings for one another, I didn't buy into his excuses for being loyal to her and their marriage vows because of his contract, I didn't buy that she enjoyed being called a whore as a therapeutic way of getting over her past.

Everything felt too rushed, too soon, too abrupt and too violent without much soft fall to absorb the blows of all the craziness. The emotional scenes didn't capture me the way they should have because they were too short and took place after the disturbing sex scenes only to be followed by crazy violence.

I liked that they had this potential bond to develop between them to create something more satisfying emotionally as a reader but in the end it was all sort of unraveled after Austin learns two very emotional truths at a very pivotal point in this book. As a reader I lost that connection to both Austin and Skylar and that disappointed me.

I can tell that Scott is a really talented writer you can see that much is evident with all the thought and description she put into this book, but I'm still confused.

I was up re-reading Submission Specialist until four in the morning trying to figure out why I have so many conflicting thoughts about it but in the end its just one of those books that I still can't really judge either by its cover or its story.

Wow! This book is sssssssssmoking hot! If you are looking for a naughty book, check this one out. This version also came with the first one in the series so I read that first and I am glad I did. This one has a tie in to the first one, although I suppose it's not completely necessary. But trust me, you will want to! :)

I have not read anything by this author before but obviously I will be reading more in the future! What I really love about this series (besides the steamy parts) is that there is a touch of organized crime. I have not read many romance/erotic books with that element. Unless there are some but I just haven't gotten to them yet.

These books are an easy and fast read that you may have difficulties putting down! I am eagerly awaiting for the next in the series to come out!

In my opinion this book is way better than Still a Bad Boy. When introduced to Austin he as much as a jerk as Jace. Yet he redeemed himself pretty early in the book. I did come to like him a little. Ada Scott really knows how to write men that nobody likes and have no respect for women. That is my biggest disappointment with this series. There is a lot of action and suspense that kept me turning the pages. There are a lot of cringe worthy parts in this book. I read this in the book Innocence for Sale Bree on Kindle Unlimited.

This is the second book in the Still a Bad Boy Series and the main couple in this book is Skylar and Austin.

Austin Aquila is an MMA fighter and boy does he fight hard, brutal, dirty. -He is such a bad boy. In the MMA, he is the ultimate bad boy but the company wants to change him from a "heel" to "Mister Nice Guy". So from violent, brutal, aggressive Austin, to Mr. Nice Guy" Austin with all the traits of a gentleman -oh and have him "get married". Only problem is he needs a good girl to do this with.

Skylar Cross is working hard to make a life for herself -she works at No Holds Barred Fighting Championship which she would never have gotten the job if it wasnt for her uncle. She is training to become a sports therapist. All this wouldnt be possible if it wasnt for her Uncle Malcolm. Skylar had to get away from her father and the abuse that he did to her. Now she is making something of herself in this MMA sports organization. Suddenly her uncle has gone missing and Skylar is not sure what to do or who can help her. Suddenly in the organization sends her to Austin Aquila and OMG, Skylar is automatically drawn to him and feels this chemistry for him.

Skylar and Austin immediately start this dance- they are drawn to each other. Austin sees that Sklar can be this woman he needs to play the role he needs --Skylar's the good girl and for Austin, he wants to dirty her up but he has to play it like Mr Nice Guy. Austin has such a dirty mouth and he does so many yummy things and Skylar is falling deeper and deeper in love. --As the story plays out, we find out there is Mafia ties which taints the story and gives it a not so happy glow at times and leves this dark feel but that how this is supposed to be--As the reader, I am begging AUSTIN to choose right over wrong- chose Skylar and a happy life, not the bad way he was going. --there are several twists and turns and the ending is fantastic. I loved Austin and Skylar as a couple. We even get to see previous couple from book 1 in book 2 and find out how Austin knows Jake.

My Rating:4.5 stars ****

book one was awesome, book two : to die for!! not sure where to start with this one. he's a badass fighter, he's also a womanizer but when shy skylar steps into his room after a fight to massage him all his senses and desires go into overdrive. time is playing against him because everytime he thinks he can make his move on her something comes in between.
then the big bosses have a new plan, one with a whole plotted out scenario. he doesn't like that, not one bit. but then skylar creeps into his mind and suddenly that plans takes on a whole new meaning. he agrees, on one condition. the pretend bride/wife isn't the girl they're suggesting, he wants skylar for that role!
working behind the scene on the lower levers skylar is nervous when she's called up to help out with the big fighters, specially when she's told she's to take care of Austin, one of the best fighters in the ring. just being near him makes her feel all weird but she does her best not to give in. she loves her job too much to break the one rule : staff doesn't mingle with the fighters.
but austin is making it hard (in more ways then one) for her to concentrate on her job.
when a few days later she's called upstairs with the bosses she thinks she's losing her job. what awaits her as her even more surprised. with her job on the line she doesn't see any way out and agrees to the fake wedding to Austin.
what starts out as fake and pretend takes on a real feeling pretty quick. when more dangerous stuff threatens them both things go from bad to worse to lethal!

a thrilling story that had me on the tip of my chair rooting for them! some surprises along the way (good and bad!) it was hard to put down the book until it was finished!
can't for the next bad boy is sent our way!!

Submission Specialist is the second book in the Still a Bad Boy series. It is a stand-alone book that connects with other books in the series through some shared characters and has an HEA and no cliffhanger. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more from this author in the future. It's not necessary to read the other book in this series first or even at all but I would definitely recommend doing that. I would also recommend this book to fans of bad boy romances, especially ones not easily offended. There is harsh language and violent content in this book. The hero is a very bad boy.

Synopsis:

Skylar is a very innocent girl, as in virgin. She was raised by a very harsh, christian father who abused her. As a result of her upbringing, she has very confused feelings about sex and has sworn to remain chaste until her wedding night. When she meets Austin its all she can do to keep her panties on. She wants him bad. Can she resist this bad boy? Will she keep her promise?

Austin is a bad boy with the reputation to match. His image has become a problem for the league and they have decided to clean up his language, his act and his public persona. There solution...marrying a respectable girl. Austin chooses Skylar. He wants her bad. Her innocence drives him up the wall. He can't wait to ruin her for all other men. Will there two find love despite their differences? Will Austin's mafia ties threaten their future? Will a surprise from Austin's past be the key to his future?

>Book Review –Submission Specialist –

>I am an independent reviewer. This is the second book in the Still a Bad Boy series and ends in an HEA. Austin is a famous MMA fighter. At first he seems to be a typical cocky, alpha, male. After a while it is revealed that the mob owns Austin and he throws fights every once in a while. I missed the reasoning behind Austin’s mob tie in making it hard for me to connect with him. Skylar works for one of the MMA venues as a physical therapist, along with her uncle, who disappeared.

>Of course, Austin notices Skylar and when the MMA powers that be want to create story lines in the fighters’ lives, similar to professional wrestling. Austin’s story line requires a sham marriage and he picks Skylar. I love how priorities change for Austin. His rage and lust drove him before he met Skylar. After he gets to know Skylar, he is surprised at how much she means to him.

>Bringing in Jace to help out really tied the two stories together. I’d love to read more about these two characters and see how they react to the threats to their women.

>This story is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving the story 5 stars. This story has a lot of MMA in it that seems to add to the story, instead of taking away.

I loved this story! A hot bad boy fighter. Yummy. He made me want to be the one submitting before him. Wait a minute a need a breather. Breathing here. Hold on. Ok. The continuing story of powerful sexy men wanting to tear down and destroy the unscrupulous bad mafia dudes. Who really need to get destroyed like yesterday already! Ok back to this story oh my God!!! This story was hot. That's all I can say. I really loved the virginal repressed girl in this one. Reminds me of me. But she had her abusive daddy and I didn't thank God. I would have killed him. With some poison or some other untraceable device. Ok enough with the negativity. It's really not needed. Damn this story was hot!!!! Sorry can't say that enough. I loved the mix of bad boy fighter and the innocencent girl I loved the chemistry between these two. I will continue reading this authors story if it's going to be this hot. I meant good. Being a good girl here. Also I should mention I was given an arc for a honest review. Thank you!!!!!!!!! I want more....... That's it.

Submission Specialist was even better than the first book! Austin is the kind of character who doesn't know what he wants and doesn't realize it. Skylar is complete innocence and yet she is stronger than she looks. This book is full of fight, grit and tough people and I am not just talking about Austin. It had me in suspense and on the edge of my seat a few times. I was left clutching my chest with some of the feels and cursing some of the things that were happening. I fell so hard for Austin and his hard as hell attitude.

Ada Scott knows how to write a compelling story and keep her readers captivated. She weaves each scene to keep the reader in suspense or set them up for a huge reveal. I absolutely LOVED this book and all its surprises. I highly recommend it and am so hoping she will have more with these characters in it.

A bad boy romance that you have got to read! A great book two that can be read as a standalone. The story is gritty, suspenseful, action packed,a little violent, as well as very hot and sexy. I could not put this one down to even eat! Skylar is an innocent saving herself for marriage and poor, trying to survive in a violent world of MMA fighting and mafia. Austin is arrogant and one of the best MMA fighters in the area. He's enamored with her innocence and when told to get an arrainged marriage of convenience to clean up his image he chooses Skylar. Can they turn this arraigned marriage into something more? Will his ties to the Bertolini crime family ruin everything? I can't wait to see if there is another book to this story line.

I was given this e-book by the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. My conclusions are my own. I was not compensated in any way

Review for SUBMISSION SPECIALIST
This was a gift for n honest review
When Skylar Cross and Austin Aquila cross paths in the MMA locker, it is an explosive encounter. One is an MMA rising star and his temperature is definitely on the rise after he meets her. She is a worker in the locker rooms and the meeting rocks her world. When Austin is told he needs to have a wife to help with his image, he figures Skylar is the one for him. It is a fake marriage anyway, but it will put her right where he wants her. What neither one of them expects is to fall in love. But things can’t always run smoothly now , can they ? When the mob gets involved ,it really hits the fan, and it could mark the end for Skylar unless Austin does as he is told. Fortunately for them both , there is a guardian angel in the wings and he may just be their salvation.

Ugh, when did it become the norm for heroes to be douche canoes?!? When did 'bad boy' mean misogynistic, egotistical assholes? He actual talks about being bummed he could screw other girls during his relationship with Skylar while simultaneously talking about taking her virginity. WTF?! Does he cheat? No, because he doesn't want to lose his title fight. Yeah, thats romantic. I always wanted to give my V card to a man who won't cheat on my because he doesn't want to risk losing a title fight. He actually called her a fucktoy on their wedding night (yes, it was a fake wedding, but still! He knew she was a virgin and nervous and he says THAT?!?) What the hell happened to romance? To guys who have slept around but aren't dicks about the way they treat women? Why do they all have to be man whores in the first place?!?! Sorry, I have just not had ANY luck with KU lately...

Not as good as the first

I had a real hard time with this book. Austin was not very likable until about the halfway point in the book. I mean the way talked to and the names he called Skyler were despicable. It wasn't sexy or alpha. Skyler was just a doormat. She gave him her virginity, let him talk to her like she was just another notch on the belt, and when she asked him to use a condom their first time he said no and she just agrees. Doormat. How come heroines can't be strong and independent? The first half of the book I really didn't like. However, once the I love you's started flying I warmed up a little to the characters and the book. Would I recommend? I don't think so. Would I read more from Ms. Scott..yes. This just wasn't for me.

Teenage Fantasy of Life and Romance

The edition of this book that I got had both book 1 2 in the Still a Bad Boy series, and the stories were both equally bad. It wasn't enough that both heroines were naive teenagers (18 19, respectively), but we had to be reminded of it over and over as they described their lady parts as their "tiny teen tunnel" or "pink teen petals". As far as the rest of the storylines, Submission Specialist could not decide what it wanted to be when it grew up, a romance (and I say that lightly) about a first time, a bad boy, an MMA fighter, a suspense mystery, or the Mafia, so it decided to try to be all of them at once. The heroines were silly, the heroes jerks, I won't read any more of this series.

Mobsters, rigged fights and a love born out of a contract.
Austin is a heavyweight mma fighter, hoping to rise all the way to the top. But with mobsters running things and rigging the fights their way. He may never get to the top. So when an idea from his producer comes down. He is someone happy about it but he thinks they picked the wrong girl for the job. Will they listen to him?
Skylar is a nineteen year old woman trying to make it on here own somewhat. But it does not stop him from verbally and physically beat her when he feels she needs it. So when her uncle helps her get a job.she loves it, the even.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Words practically escape me... Submission Specialist is positively sizzling! A real page-turner from the first page to the very last, Ada Scott has written a story of two broken people searching for the impossible... a love strong enough to put the pieces of their broken hearts back together. Raw, gritty, edgy, dark, emotional, captivating, addictive, shocking, intense... it was everything. This amazing author has a unique talent of giving her readers exactly what they want and so much more.

Skylar is doing her best to survive even after her uncle disappeared. Austin is an MMA fighter whose boss wants a different image for fighters. Austin is going to get married, but not to the woman the boss expects. He decides he wants Skylar. When Austin defies his other bosses, the Mafia, Skylar will be held prisoner until Austin does what they tell him. Fantastic characters, exciting, suspenseful, with a happily ever after.

What amazing story. Ada Scott is got be one of the best up coming writers out there. I read the first and fell in love with bad boys. And I was so excited that she had offer me a change to read her second story in this series, for a honest review. I was blown away. Talk about adventure that Skylar and Austin is taken. Especially Skylar goes from innocent to having her world turn up side down.
With out giving anything away, all I can say if you love bad boys, virgin women, and mafia. Then you had Submission Specialist: A Bad... to your library collection.
