Portland Stories are about the residents of a small town just south of Chicago, their unusual living conditions and how they fare. Grace is how that same small town rises again after the most devastating of all tragedies.
I admit that I read this story last when it is actually the second of three, but that didn't seem to matter much. As with this author's other books, this one had great characters and an interesting plot. I like the quirky attitude of the main character. I thought the police procedure was a little weak, and the story line wandered a bit, but overall, I really enjoyed it and would reccomend it to anyone as a good read.
