Rate this book
Twenty-four year old Skye Anderson has always wanted to quit her boring job as a waitress to pursue her dreams of becoming a singer. But two things stand in her way . . . her irrational fear of failure and her father’s downward spiral of self-destruction. Everything changes when she goes on a trip to London, gains the courage to sing at a karaoke bar, and meets a charismatic woman who makes her heart skip a beat. Morgan Harrington is a successful night club owner with no time for romance. Yet after hearing Skye sing one night, she feels an instant connection to the secretive yet beautiful woman. But before Morgan can even think about a relationship, she must overcome her own inner-demons and make an important decision that might taint her life forever. As these two women grow closer, their dark pasts and Skye’s even darker secret only complicate matters. If they ever hope to build a life together, they’ll have to find the strength to face the heartache, betrayal, and loss in their increasingly complex lives . . . Is their relationship destined to end on a sour note? Or will Skye and Morgan have a chance at living their own love song?

I hardly ever mention the cover of a novel, because I usually don’t care – it’s more of what’s inside the book for me. But in this case I have to, because I find this cover really lovely.

Anyway, I enjoyed „The Song, The Heart“. While the two main characters fight their own demons from the past and the present – without the other one knowing about it – they quickly fall in love with each other. And even though both ladies do have a big problem with drugs, they can’t and won‘t fight the addiction they are experiencing themselves, the addiction to the other.

Another sweet romance novel.

Overall a good read.

I would give this probably 3.5 Stars. The story itself is really good but I feel like there was something missing to make it great. I don't know exactly what that was but I know it's there. The entire story is based on love and drug addiction and lies. It ultimately shows that in the end love wins out but along the way...it doesn't. And I think that might have irked me. The storyline of Thomas was just...I don't...wrong. Overall, it's a good story and one I would recommend because it is well written and the characters though more flawed than normal are still well done.

Wonderful Story

The writing style is amazing. I love the flow and how it is written. This was a journey of ups and downs. I love how the characters journeys lead them to each other, but at the same time can cause such an emotional roller coaster. Beautiful story about love.

Loved it!

I can feel all the emotions written as if I was one of the m ain characters. Jade's style is easy to follow and the story plot builds properly and is not overextended.

The Song, The Heart [Kindle Unlimited] — Jade Winters (37 chapters + Epilogue) March 13-15, 2020

Note: this is a story between two consenting adult women. Move on it this upsets you.

Another Jade Winters gem.

Sky works as a waitress due to an untimely death, but she aspires to be a singer some day.

Morgan runs a night club and is looking for new talent, but not looking for anything more.

After winning once in a lifetime trip, Sky has a chance encounter at Morgan’s club singing karaoke.

Nice story for the most part. Didn’t like background characters starting strong and then disappearing without a trace. I know it advances the story, but I wish they would’ve been written a little bit better.

Over all, this is a signature story for this author. Not too long and well worth the read.

Three stars.

Great read

Only one complaint, secondary characters are poorly developed. I loved the way they showed how addicts affect others. Both my parents were alcoholics and of their nine children three died as a direct result of drug abuse.

A powerful story about love and healing

There are many spots in this story where you wish you could shake the characters and make them think straight, but their twisted, hurt fueled idiocy never seems to be unrealistic.

Loved this book.

Very enjoyable. This book certainly has its highs and lows in the plot. From the low life father to a successful singing debut and much more in between.

🔥 WARM AND FUZZY🔥
This story was such a delight especially with the random bits of lyrics added. I liked the unbalanced; balance that was apparent between Skye and Izzy. Kind of took me back to my youth when my closet friend would have disagreements.
