"They say I just woke up from four months in a coma but that's not the worst... I have no idea who I am!"
When nineteen year-old college student, Preslee Keats, wakes up after four months in a coma, she has no recollection of what happened, of how she ended up in the hospital. All the police can tell her is that she was in a car accident and the other driver still hasn't been found.
Soon after coming to, Quaid Fields, a high profile defense attorney, comes to visit her. To her surprise, he offers her a hundred thousand dollars to 'help her get back on her feet.' Realizing that this sort of money never comes without a catch, she doesn't want to take the bait.
However, after learning that she lost her job and are now facing mountains of education and medical bills, she may have no choice. And if she does accept, what does that say about the kind of person she really is?
Don't miss BLANK, a standalone erotic romance by Cassie Wild.
Cassie Wild loves romance. Ever since she was eight years old she's been reading every romance novel she could get her hands on, always dreaming of writing her own romance novels.
When M.S. Parker approached her about co-authoring the Serving HIM series, it didn't take Cassie many second to say a big yes!!
Serving HIM is only the beginning to the collaboration between M.S. Parker and Cassie Wild. Another series is already in the planning stages.
It's hard to imagine what it must feel like to wake up one day in a hospital and realise that not only have you lost four months of your life but you've no memories at all, no idea who you are or who you can trust and to make it worse you're only nineteen. This is the situation Preslee Keats finds herself in and it appears at one point the only good thing she has is her lifelong best friend Ava. She then gets offered one hundred thousand dollars plus all her medical bills paid by Quaid Fields a high profile defence attorney and even though she feels it's wrong is she in any position to refuse after all she's lost her job, her apartment, her car and her medical bills will be astronomical. This is a quick read mainly because the print is huge, even on the smallest setting which means the page count is probably nearer to 110 pages than the 221 it's listed as, also it's a very easy read. It's obvious early on who's responsible and it all seemed a bit too much, Kris seems a little too perfect, the culprit was a little too obvious and even....well I don't want to spoil the book for you but you'll know if you read it that he was way too obvious as well. I know it's fiction and a romance but if a nineteen year old girl with no one in the world but a friend found herself in this position and a lawyer came and made that offer I would have thought alarm bells would be ringing with someone, I mean Quaid is not exactly a philanthropist. While this was okay it's not particularly memorable or a book I would ever read again.

Ugghhhhhhh! Is it just me or the latest books are just one deception after another?
Ok! I'm better now... For me this book did nothing. I didn't hate and I din't love it. I feel like all my latest review I've been saying the same but.. here it goes. I like the story of the book, and the twist with the characters. But It was just plain. I didn't even felt sorry for her childhood and I'm a cryer. I feel like resolving the crime took a lot more space than the actual couple. Like the last 4 pages the author gave me what I wanted all along.
Oh, goodness was this a boring read- I could've told you the who done it, the why, and... Ugh, it just felt so textbookish in terms of 'how to write a book'. It's was rough and choppy throughout, filled with fluff that will bore you to tears. I sincerely hope this was the author's first go at writing a book, because damn it's awful. Hopefully her others are on fire/worthy of your time. Feel like I wasted mine.
Preslee Keats is a sweet and nice 19 year girl who had everything going for her when her life was changed when someone runs into her car and causes a horrible accident which puts her into a coma for several months. When she finally wakes up, her life is different. She is trying to remember things-like who she really is, who her family and friends are and what happened to her that caused the wreck and most important-who and why is someone trying to buy her off. In all of this , she meets a handsome and mysterious guy named Kris who seems to want to help her but there are things about him that seem off. He claims he wants to help but the more he helps, the more the mystery about him pings at her and she needs to know who he is. As they dig into what happened to her, they grow closer and some of her memories come back. I loved that Preslee had her friend, her best friend Ava behind her. I would love to see a story about her come about. That girl was there for her friend no matter what from the time the accident occurred til the very end. Well the mystery finally is solved and who Kris is comes out but he isn’t who I thought but better- This was one great story and the passion and angst made the read great. I would highly recommend this story. I do wish there was more about how there life was after the ending and I wish I knew who the guy was staring at Preslee at the beginning at the story- was he a red herring or something else? I still loved this story and will recommend this to all. My Rating: 4.5 stars **** *A gifted copy was provided by the author for my honest review*
This was a romance/mystery story about a Preslee, a 19 yr old who was put in a coma after a hit and run accident. Her memory is severly damaged and she has a girlfriend Ava who is really her only family. After several months in a coma she awakens and then has to get her life back and make peace with what happened to her. She meets a man Kris and they discover a mutual attraction but life has a way of throwing curve balls.... "I was sure that my raw attraction to him was coloring the way I interpreted his words."
"She was unexpected, a fireball of sensuality and need that I was only too eager to satisfy."
"The idea of relaxing and letting somebody else take the reins on the train wreck that was my life was beyond tempting. "
"I was the only man whose kiss she knew. The only man whose body she knew. Her body might not have been a virgin, but her mind was. I'd been her first kiss, her first lover."
This was a well paced and good novel by this author Cassie Wild.
Excellent story! Preslee has her life together and a true friend that watches out for her. But a tragic event strikes Preslee and she turns to Kris for guidance. Can Kris be trusted? Will he be the man fighting to help or further destroy Preslee's future. Cassie Wild's Blank has the right combination of romance, comedy and mystery. A great read!
Imagine waking up to no memory at all? When Preslee wakes in the hospital she has no idea who she is but a man claiming he’s a lawyer offers her tons of money and to pay her bills off, weird she thinks. When she decides maybe to meet with him instead she meets Kris his son and even though something is bothering her she ends up falling for him until the truth comes out. I felt so bad for Preslee I could never imagine that.
Preslee Keats is a nineteen year old girl who is quite smart when it comes to things academic, throughout school she was achieving straight A's. Throughout the day she works a regular job in an office and then on the night she goes to college as she is hoping to become an forensic scientist when she has the chance.
Preslee is on her way home from her evening class and after debating if she should go and get food, at the last minute she ends up in an accident which leaves her in a coma for four months. When she does wake up she has no memory of what happened for her to end up in the hospital but just before she came out of her coma she ended up having some dreams with some things that happened quite a few years ago. Even though she has no clue who she can trust she ends up getting an unexpected visitor offering her a hundred thousand dollars to help her get back on her feet and to help pay all the medical bills but Preslee is a lot smarter than the guy thought and declines receiving the money.
Ava shows up and convinces Preslee that she can trust her and everything, Ava mentions everything that has happened up until now and when she mentions that until she is better and back on her feet that she is to stay with her, Preslee honestly can't believe how lucky she is to have a friend like Ava. Preslee decides that she is going to see what the guy has to say who brought money to the hospital but when she gets there she runs into a guy named Kris and the immediately hit it off.
Kris tries to help Preslee find out who hit her car and caused her to go into a coma, as from the looks of what the police have done it's not a lot and haven't been able to find who it was. The chemistry between both of them is so unreal and even though Kris knows that he shouldn't exactly be letting things get so far as for them to sleep together he can't help but feel something strong towards her.
What will happen when Preslee happens to stumble upon a secret about Kris, will it ruin things between them forever. Also will Preslee ever get her memory back as to what happened that night and be able to catch the other driver or will it remain an unsolved case. This book is seriously hot, and you don't want to be missing any of the juicy bit's inside. I am honoured to have been able to read this novel as it's truly amazing, this is such a deep story and one that you will happily fall in love with. I honestly couldn't put it down until I had finished reading it.
Title: Blank Author: Cassie Wild Publisher: Belmonte Publishing LLC Reviewer: Keri Tabor Release Date: January 27, 2016 Genre(s): M/F, Billionaire Page Count: 221 Heat Level: 3 flames out of 5 Rating: 4 stars out of 5
Review: Preslee wakes up from a coma after four months and can’t remember a thing about her life. She doesn’t remember her best friend Ava and she doesn’t remember her life before at all. Preslee didn’t grow up privileged, she had a rough go at life, her mother did love her and was verbally abusive to say the least. While still trying to come to terms with her memory loss, a strange man comes into her room and makes an offer she refuses. Kris has been dealing with his own personal issues, one having been a psycho ex he should have never been involved with. One afternoon after leaving his attorney's office he runs in Preslee. These two have an immediate connection and soon find themselves between the scorching sheets. Kris is determined to find out who caused Preslee’s accident. Due to a series of misunderstandings and misfortunes these two fall apart. ”The thing I regret the most about my accident is that it didn’t happen after I met you. At least then, you’d be gone with the rest of my memories.” To say these two have a long road ahead of them is a major understatement. The author did a good job of piecing this book together. I enjoyed the flow and found it very easy to read. ”I love you too,” I said. And I did. So much. And still…”What’s this about you being a billionaire, though?”

This book has a fantastic twist and I was absolutely along for the ride. Preslee is a young woman on a mission to make her life better, after growing up in an awful situation and a dad that is MIA. She has to make tough life choices at a young age. She saved every penny she can so, she could move out after graduation and never look back. She is a collage student, working to get a degree in Forensic Science, hoping to one day work for the FBI. " When I'd wanted to escape from my mother's jibs and criticisms, I'd flip on the TV and get lost in the mysteries that threaded through countless crime shows." "It was more than the bissful escape from reality that took over when I watched these shows. It was the concept of justice that I'd always loved." Preslee's mom is a vicious drunkin woman, who blames Preslee for all of her woes. Her best friend Ava who also grew up in a bad situation saved up and moved out of her home when she was 16. One night on her way home from a class on Friday nights, she decided to take a detour to the local all night supermarket. That night she was in a devestating car accident, that stole her memory. Kris is a young man who takes an intrest in Preslee after seeing her outside of an attorney's office. He simply could not walk away from her and asks her to coffee and to hear her story. She was the girl in an accident and then in a coma for four months. After the coffee shop hour long conversation he asks her on a date and she agrees. With a great date and genuine attraction to Preslee the next morning he decides to help her and begins to look into her open case. It looks like the police are getting nowhere and he believes that Preslee deserves justice for what has happend and help with all the bills that are piling up. "I needed to protect her. She looked up at me and I'd been lost. Kissing her felt natural and inevitable, compelled to taste her, to hold her" This is where the story gets sticky. With a great plot twist and two people who seem made for each other this romance is worth the read.
Preslee had a really bad car accident that left her in a four month long coma. To compound her misery, she wakes up with complete amnesia, no real family, no apartment, no job or prospects. That's what best friends are for! Ava is the best friend a girl could ask for, absolutely love this character. I would BFF her in a heartbeat. She needs her own book. Eva is amazing; she has a better relationship with Preslee than the love story between Preslee and Kris. In the course of recovering her identity and following a lose end, Preslee meets Kris. He's pretty sweet. Things go well. Nice romance. Then we have some plot twists and turns you may want to discover for yourself. This is a good story and I like the characters, but a certain charisma is lacking over all that keeps me from loving this story. At times, there is a lack of attention to detail that keeps me from feeling like I am there with them. The villains were a little cliche. It's not crisp enough to keep me completely enthralled; I did read this over a few sittings. However, it is a good and clever read. Reviewed for HeadTripping Books by Jeannie.
Cassie Wild this book was so good, I couldn't put it down.
The title of this book says it all Blank, Preslee wakes up in the hospital after four months in acoma, she has no idea who she is or how she ended up there. Having no memory at all , Preslee has no idea who she can trust, the only way she knows who her best friend is, is because she had a dream about their childhood together.
Trying to piece her life back together, she moves in with Ava he best friend, as she lost her apartment, job and place in school while she was in the hospital, she heads to the lawyer who came to offer her money while she was in the hospital hoping that maybe he can help or at least she can take the money. There she meets Kris, whom she thinks is the son of the lawyer that came to see her in the hospital, and Kris promises to help her find out who hit her, as her accident was a hit and run. While they are working together, Kris and Preslee fall for each other, but when truths are revealed will their relationship survive the truths?
I was very excited to read Cassie Wild's first solo book as I'm a big fan of her previous book's co-written with MS Parker and I was not left disappointed! A truly great read that is not predictable and once you start you cannot stop until you have read the final word. Preslee's story blew me away and lucky she had her beautiful best friend Ava to get her through one of the toughest challenges of her life. Her whole story from the car crash, meeting Kris, her biatch of a mother, and finding out the details of her accident this book will take you through the high's & low's of Preslee's life and leave you feeling like it all happened to you. A 4 star book rating that has an amazing story, plenty of steamy scenes however my only 1 star deduction was due to Preslee's age of 19 and Kris 25. The 6 year age group is not alot and that doesn't bother me, its just that to me 19 just sounds very young to his 25years and experience.
After a tragic accident, Preslee Keats awakes alone and frightened in a hospital room months later. Unaware of who she is or why she is there. Soon a well known local attorney visits presenting Preslee with an envelope of money meant to silence her. Soon enough she is released and staying with her best friend. One thing leads to another and soon she thinks that she has found who had done this to her. Soon she feels alone and betrayed by Kris the one person she felt she could trust. Will she find out the truth? And get justice for what has been done to her? A fabulous read to say the least. I sat down in the evening and before i knew it i was at the end. I highly recommend not only Blank but also the incredible author Cassie Wild. I hope to read much more by her.
Wow, this was incredible I absolutely could not put this down from the moment I picked it up.
Preslee wakes up in the hospital after being in a coma. She has no idea who she is or how she ended up there. Circumstances allow her to remember her best friend Ava. Moving in with Ava she finds herself meeting with an attorney that came to offer her money when she was in the hospital to try and see if she can find answers. This is where she meets Kris, she thinks he's the attorney's son and he promises to help her find who caused her accident. Working together these two end up with feelings for each other. However, when the truth is revealed will they survive it all or fall apart?
I absolutely loved this book! I cannot wait to see where it goes from here!
What a good book this is!! Cassie Wild did an amazing job!!
Preslee was in a terrible accident and woke up in the hospital after being in a coma?! WHAT?! She has no idea why she's in the hospital or what happened to get her there.
Kris is a high powered attorney and goes to visit Preslee in the hospital and offers her $100,000 to help her get on her feet again?! Who does that!!? What is his ulterior motive!?
She's now lost her job and has no income, so that $100,000 is looking really good! Is the price she'll have to pay for that money worth it? You'll have to read this amazing book to find out!!
Great solo debut by Cassie Wild! Preslee had a rough childhood. When she met her best friend Ava before kindergarten, they became closer than sisters. Always there for each other. One night, Preslee is driving home from class when she's in a bad car reck. Preslee ends up in a coma. When she wakes up, she has amnesia. Preslee meets Kris who wants to help her find the person who hit her. Their chemistry is off the charts, but Kris is hiding something. I absolutely loved this book! It's written well and flowed seamlessly. It's told in both Preslee and Kris's perspectives. The characters were very likeable. Even though this is a standalone, I'd love to read Ava's story.
Preslee wakes up from a 4 month coma with no memories. After an odd encounter with a lawyer, she has no answers either but a firm belief the lawyer is hiding something.
A chance meeting with the gorgeous Kris has things looking up for Preslee. He's even helping her solve the mystery of her accident, but Preslee feels something isn't quite right with Kris.
Will she figure it out? Will he tell her the truth? Who hit her? All your questions get answered, except if Dan and Ava become more... It's a sexy read with enough intrigue to keep you flip pages or sliding across your kindle.
I love a good story! And this one wasn't your usual amnesia/fall for the hero love story. Preslee wakes in the hospital and her first visitor is a lawyer trying to pay her off...for what she has no real clue, but he mentions his son Kris as a contact if she changes her mind. While she has no job,no money, no where to go...except her besties place, even though she doesn't remember her either. In order to get answers she goes to the lawyers office and meets Kris... Sparks fly, mistrust abounds, answers are slowly and surely found...and OH NO...Kris isn't who she thought he was.. This story had it all. Drama, great writing, and sexy. Another stellar Cassie Wild read.
Preslee didn't have a great life growing up, but she could always count on her best friend Ava. When Preslee is in an accident and wakes up with amnesia, it is Ava who she feels she can trust. When a lawyer comes to her room she knows something doesn't feel right. With having lost everything Ava is trying to help Preslee get her life back but she needs answers about the accident. Meeting Kris was something Preslee didn't see coming. But can Kris be trusted? Amazing story that I couldn't put my kindle down.
I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review
I enjoyed reading this book. Preslee Keats wakes up from being in a coma for four months. The heart wrenching part is she does not know who she is. This must be a truly frightening experience . Add onto that she has no idea who her best friend is. This I found so emotional. When Ava arrives at the hospital. I felt that the way Cassie had written that scene was brilliant. I don't want to give the plot away. All I will say is Preslee is on a mission to find out how she ended up in the hospital. Can she trust anyone. Is Kris, the rich billionaire, really there to help? All will be revealed.
Wow, An awful accident on Preslee's way home from a late class, a hit and run left her barely hanging onto life, coma, severe injuries, clinically induced coma. When she wakes up after 4 mo. With amnesia, unsure who to trust, what happened? Since there was no ID with her, just disappeared. She meets Kris, there's an attraction, but she feels he is holding more info back from her, what, oh what, can they find out ..... Great emotional, heartbreaking, learning story.
I received this book for free in return for an honest review so here goes. I started reading Cassie Wild's books when she co-wrote with M.S Parker and I really enjoyed their books. Cassie Wild didn't disappoint me with Blank! I loved Preslee's friendship with Ava they had a true sisterhood. I really enjoyed the ups and downs in her relationship with Kris. They only thing I didn't like is the age of Preslee she is 19 and Kris is 25.
Overall I enjoyed Preslee and Kris love story. After waking up from a coma and not remembering anything about the life she lived, Preslee relies on her instincts to determine who she can trust. She meets Kris and things progress between the two. Things take an unfortunate turn and Preslee uncovers that things aren't what they appeared and is left again not knowing who to trust.
Here is another great story from Cassie Wild. I loved it, it was a real page turner. Preslee's life was turned upside down and she is trying get her life back in order when she meets Kris, he's an amazing hot, sexy man, who falls for Preslee and wants to help her find out the truth. If he would've just be honest with her from the beginning. There is twists and turns and mystery in this story with some hot sex. A must read!!!!
Far better reading than I expected. Storyline is clean and has a great cast of characters. The bad guys are really bad but the good buy ends up being a gem. I don't write a lot of reviews even with the high number of boos I read because most just are undeserving, but this is a book I would recommend for a nice read that deserves its happily every after.
