When Joseph and Samuel Lake spot their mate while running through the woods, they know they can't leave without him. They have been looking for him their entire lives, but convincing the gorgeous man that they want him was turning out to be a lot harder than finding him.
Matthew Brooks knows he isn't the world's best catch. He's a little more plump than he'd like and has a very boring life as a paralegal. Finding two men that seem interested in him at the same time thrusts him firmly into fantasy land.
When someone starts coming after Matt, getting him to Pacific Cove seems like the safest idea, but to do that, they will have to explain to the man about bear shifters and mates and all that entails...and that might cause them to lose their mate faster than an assassin's bullet.
About Me I believes the only thing sexier than a man in cowboy boots is two, or three men in cowboy boots. I also believes in love at first sight, soul mates, true love, and happy endings.
I live in the great Northwest region of the USA, with my gorgeous husband and soul mate, two boxer/collie puppies, one old biddy cats, and three fish. When I'm not being a mother to my six teenagers or cleaning up after my two 70 pound lap puppies, you can usually find me cuddled in bed with a book in my hand and a puppy in my lap. Or on my laptop, creating the next sexy man for one of my stories.

This second book in the ‘Pacific Cove’ series was as entertaining and fun as the first. Abe and Ben’s next younger brothers, Joe and Sam, are surprised to find their human mate, but even better, he smells like honey. And what could be better than that in a bear’s world? It made me smile from the start, and even though these three guys have some issues once they decide to get together, including an a**hole enemy, the tone of this book is light enough to make it really enjoyable. And in case you are wondering, there is no twincest involved, just the loving sharing of a human who needs as much protection and love as he can get.
Matt is a bear’s ideal mate – with a few extra pounds on his ribs, at least Joe and Sam won’t have to worry he will break. But Matt grew up in the human world, and his self-confidence is pretty low. He hangs out with people he thinks of as his friends, sort of, but it’s clear that except for one of them, they don’t really like him. Matt tries to ignore the head bully, and wants to enjoy the camping trip they are on, but it is hard. Then two gorgeous men appear seemingly from nowhere, and Matt can’t believe they’re interested in him.
Joe and Sam are ecstatic that they found their mate. They are running in the woods (in bear form, of course) when they “sniff” Matt for the first time, and they have to hold back not to tear apart the guy who treats Matt like dirt. Neither Joe nor Sam are very good at revealing that they are bear shifters, but Matt has read a few paranormal books so he takes it fairly easy. That whole scene is hilarious! But when the bully comes after Matt, things get serious and Joe and Sam have their hands full making sure they all survive so they can get to the claiming ceremony.
If you like protective and somewhat bumbling bear shifters who mean well, if a human who discovers he is perfect just the way he is appeals to you, and if you’re looking for a read full of hilarity, protective mates, and lots of loving, then you will probably like this fun novella.

Another fun addition to what is slowly becoming a very entertaining series. Matt was adorable, of course, and Sam and Joe were hot, naturally! This installment had a little action/adventure (much like book 1) with someone trying to kill Matt. So, these are fairly formulaic, to date, but I enjoy them anyway!
I'm looking forward to the next book which should feature Chandler with Noah and Moses.
It was a short, light, Insta-love and low in angst read.
I liked it. But it was not a deep read. It was quick, fun. But not the book of the year for me. I love Stormy Glenn, and when I don’t know what to read, I read her book because it’s quick, and light. Not a lot of angst.
So... Yes, three stars for this book, but I will certainly read her others books because it’s Stormy Glenn and that I love her ideas.
DNF at 30%. Gary Sue trope. The twins are unrealistically perfect and exist mainly to fulfill Matt's wishes and improve his self esteem. That's.. not very interesting to read, sorry.
Matthew knows he is nothing to write home about so when not one but two men think he is something special he is not sure how to respond. But Joseph and Samuel Lake know Matt is the one who will complete them. Convincing him is a whole other issue, especially when someone seems to want him dead. In Flying High by Stormy Glenn we find out just how determined two men can be when protecting their mate is first on the agenda. I adored Matt. He was so normal. And he had two hot men that wanted to share him. I totally understood where he was coming from as he struggled to accept Joseph and Samuel. He was used to being ignored at best and verbally abused at worst so when he is treated with care and concern he wasn’t sure what to believe. I loved that Joseph and Samuel did not allow Matt’s low self-esteem to deter them from showing Matt they were serious and that is before he learns they are more than human! In the second installment of a new series, Ms. Glenn gives us characters we can relate to. The emotions were real. The passion was real. The chemistry was real. I believed in the relationship she was building between Matt, Joseph and Samuel. And I wanted them to have their happily ever after. This story is a wonderful addition to the Pacific Cove series and I can’t wait to return to this world.
Well, it's kinda hard for me to not mentally compare this to another series that features 2 bear shifters, 1 human, DP to become mates, and mpreg as a result (you have to admit, that's a lot of similarities, and I LOVE the other series), but I do think that the plot and conflict in this is different enough to keep it separate. The characters were interesting, I think I liked this threesome more than the one from the first book, and I did really enjoy reading about them falling for each other. I'd definitely continue to read this series and I hope that it will continue to develop differently and on its own.
Many things happen in this story. Fear, anger, lust, love, acceptance, more fear, resolution and much humor. I enjoyed this story to no end! Sam and Joe are amazing, as is Matt. Matt's acceptance of who /what his mates are is wonderful. He has a great sense of humor that we get to see quite a bit of and thoroughly enjoy. The love, respect , self respect and care Joe and Sam give Matt is truly beautiful. Totally enjoyed the ride and am looking forward, hopefully, to Chandler , Moses and Noah's story. Tony now...HIM I wanted to punch in the throat. You'll see why and agree.
The story was interesting and the interaction between the 3 MCs was good. Editing was awful. The continuity errors were blatant. Not typical with Glenn's books. Hopefully the next in the series will be better as far as editing. Would have given this higher rating if not for the errors. Really did enjoy the story but the number and the kind of errors really affected the quality of the read.
The story was a little to similar to the first and the mistakes were numerous. Wrong character names, grammatical and spelling errors left and right. Love Stormy but this one just didn't work for me.
