Billionaire architect Samuel Ryan has hidden the fact that he’s a bear shifter his whole life—especially from women. Now he’s building a second home near Mt. Hood where he can get away from his busy career and shift anytime he wants. When he meets his new, voluptuous construction supplier, he knows she’s his mate immediately. But will she accept him if she learns the truth?

Most men think of Francesca “Frankie” Thompson as buddy, not a woman. And Frankie has a hard time not thinking of herself the same way. She’s a curvy, down-to-earth girl who’s happy running her family’s building supply business, and doesn’t expect much more from life. But when Sam shows up and sees her in a whole new light, Frankie suddenly finds herself wanting more from the sexy stranger … and hoping it’s not all a cruel joke.

But unbeknownst to them both, Sam is actually a shifter prince who can’t take the throne without a mate. And someone wants very much to prevent that from happening. The easiest way? Make sure his mate wants nothing to do with him.

Skimmed the majority after I realized how bad it was going to be. She's a big girl, so obviously no one could seriously like her. She makes the guy write 'loser' on his forehead in black sharpie every day for a week just to get one date with her, because she's convinced it's a joke. She gets super ridiculous when someone she finds out is a baddie tells her the guy isn't single, so she combs through every account he had, and cell records to make sure he doesn't have anyone else. Too much.

Bear shifter Samuel Ryan doesn't know, or even imagine what he's getting into when he sees Frankie.
He doesn't even know what the mate pull is, or how to handle it. He's feeling it all right, but he doesn't handle Frankie very well.

Frankie can't believe the nerve of that hot dude, to just ask her on a date in front of all the guys. It's got to be a bad joke, but they are not going to pull it on her, no sirey! A guy that hot would never be attracted to the likes of her, she is so not femenine at all.

But now that he has convinced Francesca of his sincerity to be with her, they are thrown into another dilemna altogether and he has to stop the craziness that his real family faces...

The next bear-shifter brother and his mate. Another big gal, I swear when the author first described her I was picturing a female lumberjack. It felt predictable and even though the previous book was a little cheesy at least the characters were developed even for a short story.

I've been reading these on a KU box set and I think I'm done. Just ok-ish.

His Princess

Samuel Ryan is waiting for supplies to finish a building he's constructing, as an architect, he has the last say toward the specifications. After all it will be his home. Frankie is delivering the wood, what he doesn't realize is that the person is actually a woman. When he catches a whiff of her smell n stares into her eyes, he knows she is his. A feeling so hot n raw invades his very soul. Even his bear takes notice, making him fight for control as the bear insists on claiming her forthright. When she finally allows him to kiss her, it erased his loneliness, undid his soul, solidified & defined his entire future. He wanted to continue n take it further, but held back, she deserved so much more, including his respect. She was his anchor, his foundation n his princess.
Frankie Thompson is shocked at the intense stare from Sam, even more so when he asks her to go to dinner with him. He's gorgeous, no way could he be seriously about someone as plain as her. Looking around the worksite she tries to figure out who put him up to trying to prank her. It's been done before but she got used to it, but this.... this was unbelievable. It takes a while until she realizes he truly meant it, especially when he storms angrily away.
I loved the patience Sam forced himself to maintain.

Frankie is delivering building supplies to a new site when she sees a man approaching her. He has her eyes bulging and her heart beating on overdrive.
Samuel is dumbstruck at the sight of her. He was expecting a man but was oh so grateful she wasn't. He immediately asks her out on a date which she thinks is all a prank. Why would he want to date her?
When she turns him down, he goes for a run on his property and for the first time in his life runs into another like him. A shifter!
When he asks her out again, she makes a bet with him, which she loses and has to go out with him. He pulls out ALL the stops and then tells her what he wants. Her.
As he meets with even more shifters he starts to get suspicious of their motives, They want him to join their cause but he declines. If you can't convince one, cast doubt on the other.
Love, lies and a bid for power come to plague this couple's HEA.

Samuel was an architect who is around looking at his property waiting for the person to bring the wood. We can use the new company and was waiting for the guy named Frank he thought he could talk to him. But Frankie turned out to be a woman and wow what a woman. She was his mate. But she was more of a guy guy and wasn't used to guys asking her out especially ones that look like male models. It took a lot of convincing a lot of begging and an embarrassing thing that she told him to do before she would finally go out with him. If you book it and like the first one if you go to her website you get a little epilogue of all of her stories that you read ..

I enjoyed Sam and Frankie’s story, it had some humour along the way, which made their relationship sweet. Sam didn’t even know that there are other shifters, but when his feels a pull toward a human he can’t help but want her in his life. Frankie is one of the boys so what happens when the hot guy asks her out? She sees it as a prank, but what happens when she realises he’s very serious?
Again nice story and plot, great characters and we will eventually see all the princes in the finale I’d imagine. Some angst, and freaky scenes, some very sweet moments, the love scenes are tasteful. Overall a good read.

Prince Samuel is part of a tetralogy; but can be read as a stand alone. This second novel felt - through the intro "The Legend of the lost Princes" - better rounded off than the first novel. As expected, Samuel later meets also his brother Hudson from the first part.

I liked Samuel's character immediately. He´s successful, but not aloof. Also purposeful and honest.
I liked how he gradually reduced Francesca's suspicions.

Frankie's "best buddy" problem is also easy to understand. Anyone who is not perceived by others as a desirable woman will of course find it difficult at first to suddenly be seen as "the object of desire". Her ability to accepted things quickly was also nice.

I had a few minutes of 'me time' between ARC's and Editing jobs so I could finally read for fun. I know a crazy concept. But I love paranormal romance novels and I'm always looking for new ones so when I stumbled upon this Alpha Bear Prince books I read he first one and was hooked.
Book two, Samuel's story is similar to book one. Samuel grew up being raised by someone other then family believing that his parents had died when he was a child. He's a shifter but doesn't believe there are many others like himself out in the world. So he's clueless to being a prince for the whole shifter world. He's building a house and meets Frankie. She's his building supplies and is not a guy! Which is a shock, until he starts to get feelings like this women is his mate. Sparks begin to fly between these two. It's a cute story with some suspenseful parts. I really enjoyed those book, and the rest of those in the series.

It's really bad

It's as deep as a shallow puddle. I thought he was blond but turns out he has dark hair. There is no pacing. My husband moved in with me after we'd known each other a month and this is way too fast. And nothing is explained. There are all these statements about character and no evidence to back it up. I know nothing about Frankie except she has a low opinion of herself, is pessimistic, and has three immature brothers. She's a business owner and likes beer. I know less about Sam. And they are the main characters in the book.

ALL THE COVERS ARE REALLY HOT & YUMMY, THAT'S WHAT GOT ME TO CHECK OUT THIS SERIES, SUPER EYE CANDY. I GUESS THIS IS A FOUR BOOK SERIES SINCE THERE ARE FOUR SONS (princes). AFTER READING TWO OF THESE I FOUND THE SECOND ONE VERY SIMULAR TO THE FIRST ONE. BEAUTIFUL SHIFTER FALLS IN INSTALOVE WITH A BBW THEN GOES ON TO BEING HER SUPER PROTCTOR. THESE ARE NOT VERY LONG BOOKS AND I DO LIKE THAT. I HAVEN'T MADE UP MY MIND IF I WANT TO READ THE NEXT TWO. ;D

This second installment is the story of Sam & Frankie. It was an OK story. It really needed to be developed a little more. Sam and Frankie are both likable characters, but their story is bland and a bit predictable. I hope that the books for the other brothers are a little different and don’t become formulaic.

interesting

I teuly enjoyed the character Frankie. No nonsense while being aware of her position to others and the revelation of her inner girly girl was a shout out to all the women out there taken for granted. The story could have used more filler on Sam as well as Vic.

Good read!

This book seemed to be almost a repeat of book 1 Hudson. Made me question whether to read further in the series.

Sam is adorable! He's cute, smart, fun and full of life. It's a shame how he and Frankie got off to a bad start but I guess it worked itself out. Love it!

Book 2 just as good as book one ! Different which is good. I don't want the same story 4 times. I loved Frankie! She was funny and smart. She was a woman who knew what she wanted . But she had that vulnerable side as well - afraid of being made fun of and being rejected or taken advantage of. Samuel saw that and really worked hard to prove to her his love. The drama with the Zoltags was not as intense this book. And how are they finding the bear Princes? And where are the extra precautions that mom was gonna put in place? The story keeps building and is there some foreshadowing in these books as well? Now onto book 3 !!

Frankie is the supplier for materials for Sam's knew house and thinks when he asks her on a date that it must be a joke. Being raised with all brothers has made it so she's a bit of a tomboy and that men see her as a friend not girlfriend. I loved how Sam sees through that and his good natured attitude when her brother pull pranks. I do think she was a bit quick to trust someone else when they were saying something bad, but overall I loved this story.

Beary good short story great for an evening

Sam is a very successful architect but knows nothing about other bears. He hires Frankie to provide the material needed to build his own home. Fun imaginative sometimes scary werebear tale that is well-written with well-developed characterization. Adult reader due to mild sexual and violence.
