We’ve all heard the saying that friendship is the foundation of any relationship. What happens when you realize that you want that relationship to be with none other than your best friend? In Unspoken Words, the first in the Unspoken Love Series from H.P. Davenport, that’s exactly what we are presented with. A friends to lovers romance between Camryn Townsend and Jamison Banks. This is a story about love and loss, but most of all its a narrative about growth. The growth of the individual characters, their families, their relationships, and growth of them as a collective when tragedy strikes.

“Don’t worry, babe, I’ll never let you fall.”

This is a solid debut. I thoroughly enjoyed the story line, as it had me intrigued. I adored the supporting cast, as they were lovable and endearing. I loved the flashback scenes to their childhood years, as they were well done adding not only comedic moments, but also adding wonderful layers to the family/friend dynamic simultaneously. This was a great story, with a lot of feels. It is a wonderful foundation for what could possibly prove to be an incredible series. I can honestly say that I am looking forward to Unspoken Promises, Lincoln and Morgan’s story.

This is the first book in the Unspoken Love Series and a debut novel from H. P. Davenport. The blurb grabbed my attention right away because I am a sucker for the whole best friends who have secretly loved each other all their lives kind of stories. I can’t get enough of them and this one totally gave us that, plus a bit more.

It was overall a pretty decent read and had a good storyline but unfortunately I just had a hard time connecting with some of the characters. The first half of the book was just a bit slow for me and I had a hard time at points staying interested. The second half did pick up a little but then towards the end I struggled a bit again. I did like that it wasn’t just your typical friends to lover’s stories. There were ups and downs laced with uncertainty but there were also some very dark parts that I thought I saw coming but still surprised me.

Camryn and Jaime grew up together and have been best friends along with Cam’s brother Christian for as long as they remember. Cam is a music journalist and Jaime is in a band along with running a company with Christian. When an assignment brings her back home for a while Jaime is determined to not let her leave again without knowing how he feels about her. His is afraid if he lets this chance to make her his for good it may just be the last chance he ever gets.

“This is what I Have been waiting for. For Cami to be mine.”

Being home again is something Cam has been waiting for. She misses her family and her friends but most of all she misses Jaime. After all she has loved him since they were kids. But does he feel the same way? Is risking their friendship worth finding out? One night and one heart stopping kiss may change everything for them.

“ I look down at her, her wide eyes staring back at me. Unspoken words pass between us.”

Just as Cam and Jaime are starting to try and navigate their newfound relationship tragedy strikes. And suddenly life as they know it doesn’t make sense and it leaves Cam wondering if what they thought they had is strong enough to survive?

“ I see Jamie breaking right in front of me. I know I will never recover from this, and by the look on his face, I don’t think he will either.”

As time goes on we get to see their true bond, how strong it is. Having known and loved your best friend all your life truly makes a relationship unbreakable and I really did love the bond these two characters had. I may not have had the easiest time connecting with their characters but I still enjoyed aspects of their story. I am curious to see how the next story in the series goes.

Note: There is violence against a female character in this book. If you have triggers with this please do not click.

From the Prologue on you will be hooked. What a fantastic debut novel. The characters are well written and I love the fact that we get full insight to each of their lives from word go. This series is going to be a good one.

Jamieson Banks (Jamie) and Cami have been best friends forever. Not only is he her best friend but also her twin brothers best friend. Grwoing up across the street from each other Jamie spent more time in the Townsend Twins back yard than his own being he was an only child. Both kids had loving families but Jamie never felt like an only child because of the love from the family across the street. If only he could tell Cami how he felt about her now all these years later. If only she felt the same.

Camryn Townsend has loved her best friend all her life. He is everything she has ever needed or wanted. Along with her brother the boy across the street has been apart of her and will be a part of her forever. Her job has finally brought her back home for a few months. Maybe now is the time to confess her feelings but what if Jamie doesn’t feel the same.

Both finding the courage and just about when you think maybe their stories will take the turn you want tragedy hits hard. Cami will never be the same. Her once perfect world is shattered. Can these two beautiful people find their way back to each other or is all lost?

Im telling you this is a tear jerker. The story is so well written you will feel your heart being pulled right along with the devastation on the pages. You also get the background on numerous secondary characters that Im sure we will see down the road. There is Lincoln, Morgan, Christian, Karsen and all of Jamie’s bandmates. Hang on friends because there are more stories to be told and Im for one am ready! You will be blown away when the truth behind the tragedy is revealed.

Next up: Unspoken Promises in the Fall - Lincoln and Morgans story.

Thank you H.P. for the ARC! Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.

Favorite Quotes:

“You get one life, Jamie. Make sure you live it with the one you love. Every minute you waste is a minute you don't get to spend with my sister. Make every second count.”

“Camryn walked over to the edge of the pool, holding my bathing suit in her hand. 'I think you might need these. There is already one moon out tonight, we surely don't need to see yours. Plus, your butt is Casper white, cover it up.”

“Honey, when you compare everyone else to the one guy you want them to be like, then you know that he is the guy you should be with.”

“'Are you sure you don't want some of this before we leave?' he asks waving his hand in front of his bare chest, like Vanna White does as she reveals the letters on Wheel of Fortune.”

My Review:

A sweet and ultimately sexy love story that is an extremely slow burn with amusing hits of humor and lots of sexual teasing and verbal sparring. The love part of the story finally seems on track until a traumatic event derails everyone's plans. The characters are adorable and highly likable and their relationships are refreshingly pleasant and supportive.

Emotionally baffled

Ok this story had me intrigue from the get. The more time I invested the more I wanted. It wasn't until the middle of the story where I was emotionally wrecked for Cami. I was praying the author didn't take it there but she did. I know it rape is a real thing but at times I read to get lost in what reality is. I loved how Jaime didn't let Cami push him away. He stood by her side along with her family and she was able to overcome her tragedy. Would I recommend this book?? 100% definitely. It was well written and like I said before the reality of it all kept you on your feet waiting to see what will happen next. I just wish we got more of a future glimpse of Cami and Jaime's life. Can't wait for Morgan and Lincoln's story.

Wow, what a debut book and so good that I then went and read the following two book in series about different characters. I connecgted with HP Davenports writing and so found myself reading the next to see if it was a one hit wonder...it wasn't.

I thought that this was going to be you traditional run of the mill friends to lovers and boy was I wrong. Jamie was initially Cami's brothers best friend but these two hit it off two and became each others confidantes, became each others everything. Jamie always had one constant i his life...Cami, until she went away to college...and then she came back. Jamie was an incredible hero and as I aid above this book has made me want to read the next.

Her problem…she’s in love with her best friend and she’s too scared to sacrifice their friendship for a love she’s always wanted.

Jamie Banks’ life is the epitome of perfection. His company is thriving, his band is on the cusp of stardom, and the girl he loves is returning home.

His problem…the girl he loves has been his best friend for as long as he can remember and he’s not sure he’s ready to sacrifice his best friend for a lover. Pursuing a relationship with the possibility of losing her has him second-guessing everything he knows.

Review:
When new authors come out with new books and hit you so profoundly, you have to wonder why it took so long to come out with the first one and share it with the world. To have one that will touch you on every level - emotional as it felt physical, like a blow to the gut, is a book to be treasured and HP Davenport's Unspoken Words, her debut novel, was exactly that. Having been best friends for longer than they can remember, Camryn and Jamie have always been afraid to admit their feelings for one another for fear of losing their friendship. When tragedy strikes, the two reunites once again and their opportunity to finally explore the romantic side of each other arises, showing Camryn just how much Jamie truly wants to keep her as his girl. I couldn't believe just how emotional I became when I read this book - from the reunion, the falling in love (again), to the dealing and recovering from the many different aspects that shaped and impacted the characters. The chemistry between the two is breathtaking - it felt as though they could anticipate their needs before having to say a word, which is something that I enjoyed experiencing with the two. As real and relatable Camryn and Jamie were, HP Davenport made sure that her book had a storyline that hooked you from the very beginning and kept you wanting more. There wasn't a moment that I didn't ask myself what would happen next. I have to say that I can't wait to read the next instalment in this series since this new author really started out with one heck of a bang that I hope can only get better from this point on.

H.P. Davenport gave us an outstanding story in her debut novel and I loved this book from start to finish. Truly a heartfelt journey of Jamie and Camryn going from childhood friends to lovers. You could say they were like two peas in a pod, near inseparable. They were always there to support each other and had built their friendship based on having no secrets between them…. divulging things to each other they never shared with others. The book was very well written and the secondary characters are just so darn likeable too….my favs are Linc and Morgan.

Camryn chose to go to college at Sanford, after being offered a scholarship for a full ride instead of staying at home on the east coast….thus leaving behind her best friend Jamie. Call it an unrequited love, or certainly something beyond friendship, both reluctant to act on these feelings for fear of screwing up their friendship, even though Camryn leaving. Their Unspoken Words left them both with unresolved feelings!

After college Camryn was offered and accepted a position, which she had worked as an intern, for a music magazine is now a successful writer for them. Her twin brother, Christian, and Jaime, who are also best friends, are business partners running a recording studio. In addition to this partnership, Jamie is also the lead singer of his rock band. It’s so freakin cool how music is another common thread that keeps these three besties connected.

When given the chance to go back home and work for a few months Camryn jumped at the chance. Not only would she be getting to do what she loved but she would get to see her family and most importantly, Jamie. Also on her agenda when she returned is exploring this “thing” she has for Jamie.

The funny thing is that as Camryn is questioning her feelings for Jamie; so is Jamie for Camryn. Once they both admit that there is something there beyond friendship it’s finally time for them to explore these feelings. Let’s just say this undeniable chemistry they have and had been dancing around is finally unleased. Hot damn is Jamie just perfect? He totally kicked up my swoon meter.

Just as these two are finding their bliss tragedy strikes, sending Camryn into a deep dark abyss of gloom. Jamie was amazing. He stood by his girl, never giving up even when she didn’t want him around. He allowed Camryn the time and space to come to terms with the tragedy while letting her set her own pace of recovery. Would Jamie and Camryn be able to overcome this tragedy? Can there be a HEA for them?

Unspoken Words is Davenport's debut novel and for the most part she did a great job at telling the story of best friends who become more. I will admit that I struggled with this one. I had a hard time staying connected in the first half, I felt that it moved a little too slow for my liking, even though the characters were entertaining. Overall it is a decent story, told in dual POV, which I am a sucker for.

Camryn Townsend and Jamie Banks have been best friends forever. Now as adults they are realizing that the feelings that they have for one another run deeper than just friends. Both are hesitant to tell the other how they feel, for fear of rejection. When Cami returns home to the east coast to work for the next several months Jamie vows to finally come clean and make her his girl. But when tragedy strikes, will they both be strong enough to pull through and fight for a future together that they so desperately want or will the darkness and depression be too much for Cami to bear?

I really liked Cami's character, she was head strong and independent. She went after what she wanted and worked hard for what she had. We also get to see her so broken and beat down that she isn't sure she can climb out of the heavy fog that surrounds her. Then she digs deep and realizes that she is bigger than what has happened and that she deserves to be happy and to create a future that she wants for herself.

Jamie's character I was on the fence about for nearly the entire book. I am so used to the take charge alpha that he came across almost too sweet and mushy for me. I loved that he was in a band and worked in the music industry, and that he had worked hard to get where he was in life. I just felt that his conversations with himself about Cami at times were too sweet and sappy. Like he was a love sick puppy so to speak. The one thing that I have to give him props for is the fact that he is always there for Cami when she needed him. Even in her darkest days he didn't allow her to push him away. He stuck with her, showing her how much she truly meant to him and the lengths he would go to to protect her.

Overall Unspoken Words is a good debut novel by new Indie Author H.P. Davenport. With a good supporting cast of characters, that take care of each other like family, you can't go wrong with this sweet romance. It takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and touches on sensitive subject matter. I look forward to reading the next book in the series and seeing where Lincoln and Morgan end up.

This is one of my favorite plots in romance novels. It’s such a cliché, I know, but friendship would always be the best foundation of a relationship. Once, of course, the two friends are brave enough to cross the lines from being friends to lovers.

Cami and Jamie have been friends since they were kids and they have been inseparable ever since. They have tiptoed around their feelings for so long, and when they finally had the chance to finally explore their feelings and give it a chance – the unthinkable happened. It was a thing that you can only see in movies, you can hear in news and you’d never think can happen to you or to the people close to you.

I think what I love about this novel more than just the romance is the ability of Camryn to withstand what happened to her – thanks to her friends, family and Jamie. They didn’t desert her, they gave her what she needed, and stayed by her side until she allowed them in. Her courage, and bravery is very admirable. And Jamie never giving up on her is just as admirable as well.

The author was careful, she was sensitive in handling the topic that is quite a taboo to everyone. Most people would hush and never speak about it. She was brave enough to put it there, and make her readers realize it is happening, and that it was never the victim’s fault. That if we just support people like Cami, they’d realize it as well – and survive the ordeal.

And here I thought I was about to read another stereotypical bestfriends-turn-to-lovers romance novel, but I was wrong. This was something unexpected, something different, and something that will haunt you, crush you and will give you a sense of hope in the end.

5 Emotionally Charged Stars!!!

Finding and loving a new author is something that I get so excited about. Especially when it's someone that might not have shown up on my TBR list normally. Well that is the case with H.P. Davenport and this wonderfully written book.

Ms. Davenport has a way with words that just drew me into the story. This was also a story that I especially love, Friends to Lovers. Camryn and Jamie have been friends for their entire lives. There was always a special bond between them. As they grew up, their feelings towards each other changed, but they were both afraid to say anything for fear of losing their best friend.

When Cami goes home for an extended work assignment, she decides she's going to take the plunge and confess to Jamie. Well, this is where the story gets interesting as there are all sorts of obstacles that get in their way, including, but not limited to Cami's twin brother, a miscommunication with Jamie, another guy who expresses interest in her.

Add into this mix their group of friends that have also all grown up with each other and the side stories are fabulous. So many interesting personalities at play in this book. I'm thinking there's a few more books that can come out of this group of friends. At least I'm hoping so anyway.

The entire time I was reading this book I just fell more and more in love with the story and with Jamie and Cami as a couple. How he loves her, and their unspoken words was a true emotional rollercoaster ride. I laughed at some of their shenanigans, I cried, yes cried, because there's something that happens that came completely and totally out of left field. It was an emotionally charged part of the book that I had some vehement feelings about. I even sent a message to Ms. Davenport ranting about it!!!

Needless to say, after this happens, Cami and Jamie's love is truly tested. Can what happened end their story before it's really begun or will this bring them closer and just solidify what everyone has always known, that Cami and Jamie can be each other's "lobster?" I'm not telling you anymore than this, I am so in love with this book and it's story and it has definitely made it to my list of top books for 2016.

Unspoken Words is an excellent debut novel from H.P. Davenport and is a great beginning to her Unspoken Love Series. To be honest when reading the book synopsis I really anticipated another best friends become lovers story like so many I have read before. But Unspoken Words is so much more than that.

Cami and Jamie have known each other for as long as they can remember and have always been best friends and nearly inseparable. As the years have passed, they have both developed an attraction and affection for the other which goes far beyond friendship. Both unsure of attempting a relationship that goes deeper for fear they could lose the friendship they share, they have chosen not to reveal their true feelings to each other. But when Cami comes home for an extended vacation, she and Jamie once again become inseparable and the intensity of their feelings escalates into something they can no longer ignore. But when a terrifying event shakes their world, Jamie does everything he can to hold on to “his girl” never faltering in his undying love for her. Will his love and persistence be enough to save Cami and lead them both to the happily ever after they both deserve and hoped they would finally find together?

Unspoken Words is not just another romance. Swoon-worthy, sizzling hot moments as well as biting your nails, OMG moments make this such a different twist on your standard romance novel. H.P. Davenport has taken my heart on a rollercoaster ride of emotions at times turning it inside out making it ache from the complexity of the plot and storyline. The resolute connection shared between Cami and Jamie despite the difficult and challenging circumstances they have to overcome make this a very special story. In addition to Cami and Jamie, all of the supporting characters from her brother to all of their friends, were an excellent addition to the story as well. I look forward to more from H.P. Davenport and hope to see more of Cami and Jamie while she takes my heart on another journey in her Unspoken Love series.

A great debut from HPD and I look forward to continuing on with the series !! I am always a fan of childhood friends falling in love - I enjoy the flashbacks and the sweet stories they share of their childhood and of course I also enjoy it when there are siblings involved making it a bit more of a challenge at times. We get to meet a whole new crew of great friends in this story and I enjoyed them all. Some seem interesting enough to maybe get their own stories and others may jump out at us in future parts of the series to give us more. The music aspect of this is also great - I love rock star stories and although Jamie and his band are not giant musicians they have a great following and play some great music. I love the support they have from their friends and I also love that Christian and Jamie have a business together that also revolves around music. Camryn herself has gone to college and now works interviewing bands and writing pieces of interest for a magazine.

At this point in Camryn's life her job takes her back home to the East coast making it possible to spend some time with family , friends and HOPEFULLY finally admit to Jamie how she feels. Ironically Jamie is fighting the same battle and hoping to admit the same to her !! Their relationship has always been one of those where everyone else knows it is more but they are the only 2 that don't realize it. The prologue gives us a piece of info that has you on edge through the story waiting - is this a memory from the past that will sneak in to ruin the future or is this something that happens in the midst of happiness in the here and now ?? Either way the anticipation was extreme and after the fact I was pretty certain I knew what went on BUT I was shocked when the truth came out. Camryn is left devastated and broken. Will she heal , will she push everyone away , will Jamie be able to hold onto his girl now that he finally has her ?? It is heartbreaking and healing and a great love story. I enjoyed the easy flow of the story and also the way it did end with some happiness.

I purchased this book because of the amazing reviews on Amazon and oh boy, they were all right. Such a good book with great characters that keeps you obsessed with every page since the first one. The story is so beautifull and full with so many emotions, I was definitely not prepared for what happens to Camryn (I thought I was, but I wasn't) I loved how they overcome all of this and found happiness with each othe at the end. I just couldn't put this down until I ended. Can't wait for put my hands on book two!

Holy Emotional roller coaster! I love the way this story is written. I easily fell in love with the characters and felt every single emotion they did while reading it. Jami and Cami have the most amazing connection from the beginning of the book to the end. Even when tragedy strikes Jami never leaves Camryns side even when he easily could have. When he gets to the point of losing his patience with her after days and days of her shutting him out, he still doesn't walk away instead he threatens to break the damn door down unless she opens it. Jami is truly one of a kind in this story and I fell in love with him so easily. He never once gives up on Cami. Now that's someone you never ever want to lose. The tragedy Cami goes through is so heart breaking. I literally cried my eyes out reading what she was going through. I am extremely excited to read Lincolns story. He is by far my favorite character in the book with an amazing personality that just makes you instantly fall
In love with him. H P Davenport really captured my heart with this one.
Something I want to add, and for everyone out there who reads like I do will understand what I am saying. I just finished reading the Consolation Series by Corinne Michaels. Normally, when I read such an amazing series like that, I have a really hard time getting into another book. When I started Unspoken Words, i literally had just finished that series. It being H P Davenport's debut novel, I was worried at first. Let me tell you, I was in love in the first chapter. I was completely sucked in and not once did I think about the last book I read. I was honestly blown away! I felt like the book I was reading was written by an Author who has been around awhile, not someone who just wrote her first Novel. Congratulations to you Heather Davenport and Thank You for sharing Unspoken Words with me. I can not wait to see what the future holds for you and I will always part of your fan club!

WOW! I did NOT see this book coming! Have been sitting here in awe since I found out this is the author's debut book! Camryn Townsend has a great life. With a fantastic family, awesome friends, and the perfect job, there's not much she doesn't have. However, she's in love with her best friend, but she won't tell him because she's worried it would destroy their friendship. When she goes home for a long visit, the friendship line is becoming really blurry. Jamie Banks' life simply rocks. He has a successful company, a band on the edge of exploding, and his best friend is coming home. The problem is that he's in love with Camryn, but the fear of living without her friendship has kept him quiet about his strong feelings. Will Camryn and Jamie finally take a leap of faith and admit their feelings, or will they stay in the friend zone forever?!

No matter the description I wrote, Unspoken Words is so much more! My heart was ripped out, set on fire, stomped to get flames out, with the stitched up pieces finally shoved back in. Well done, H.P. Davenport, you flipped my dramatic girly girl feelings switch on big time. It's crazy that I was coasting along reading about best friends with secret feelings, when BAM! She throat punched me with an OMG moment that made me scream out loud, and then bawl like a baby. On top of that, I thought I had guessed the identity of the twist, and again BAM! Another throat punch out of left field. I'm trying really hard not to give anything away, but I need to reiterate that this story is so much MORE! The character development is great, the emotional journey is realistic, and add in a highly entertaining cast of secondaries to round it out perfectly. A sweet, emotionally charged, and well written storyline flows effortlessly. I simply CANNOT WAIT to read more by this author, so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND this deep, and beautiful story!

Heather has outdone herself with this debut novel. She had me sucked in from the very beginning and I couldn't put this book down. We not only get a great couple with an unspeakable connection but we find ourselves a new group of friends that have a special bond. Heather makes you feel like you are part of that group enjoying the fun and not sitting back on the sidelines just watching it play out. But when they are hurting and sad you are right there with them, experiencing it all.

Cami is such a strong independent woman, working across the country from her family and friends. She has the respect of her colleagues. But she has decided that there is one major thing missing in her life and it is fine time she did something about that. That something is scarier than shit as she could loose the one person that she values most. Can they cross that line and still have that closeness they always have had?

Life it pretty damn good for Jamie, his band is doing great, his company he runs with his best friend is booming and busy. What more could a man ask for? He has come to realize that it would be so much better if he had a special someone to share these great things with. Can he put himself out there and risk it all?

Can they all move past that night? How can they heal and find their way back to what they had? Is their love strong enough?

I can't wait to see what happens next in this series. I will be stalking to see when book 2 comes out.

A great debut novel and a beautiful beginning to a great series by H. P. Davenport.

Jamie and Cami has known each other since they were kids and are the best of friends and as the years have passed, they have both developed feelings for the other, which go further then friendship. They are both afraid of attempting a relationship out of fear, that they will lose the friendship they share, so they have both chosen to keep silent about their true feelings for one another.
When Cami comes home for an extended vacation, she and Jamie become inseparable once again and the intensity of their feelings grows stronger til they can no longer ignore them. But when a terrifying event shake up their world, Jamie goes all out and do everything he can to hold on to “his girl”.

But will his love and persistence be enough to save Cami? Will it lead them both to the happily ever after, they both hoped they would finally find together?

Unspoken Words is a swoon-worthy with sizzling hot moments and OMG! moments and along with a bit different twist on your standard romance novel. H.P. Davenport will take your heart on some of a roller coaster ride of emotions, as well turning it inside out and making it ache from the complexity of the plot and storyline.
In addition to Cami and Jamie, all of the supporting characters, Cami's brother Christian and all of their friends, were an excellent addition to the story as well.
I'm looking forward to read the future additions this series and hoping to see more of Cami and Jamie in their future.

We've all heard the saying that friendship is the foundation of any relationship. What happens when you realize that you want that relationship to be with none other than your best friend? In Unspoken Words, the first in the Unspoken Love Series from H.P. Davenport, that's exactly what we are presented with. A friends to lovers romance between Camryn Townsend and Jamison Banks. This is a story about love and loss, but most of all its a narrative about growth. The growth of the individual characters, their families, their relationships, and growth of them as a collective when tragedy strikes.

"Don't worry, babe, I'll never let you fall."

This is a solid debut. I thoroughly enjoyed the story line, as it had me intrigued. I adored the supporting cast, as they were lovable and endearing. I loved the flashback scenes to their childhood years, as they were well done adding not only comedic moments, but also added wonderful layers to the family/friend dynamic simultaneously. This was a great story, with a lot of feels. It is a wonderful foundation for what could possibly prove to be an incredible series. I can honestly say that I am looking forward to Unspoken Promises, Lincoln and Morgan's story.

“Camryn, no matter where you go, I will always be with you.”

This is my first book I’ve read by HP Davenport, and i will say it most certainly will not be my last! (I already purchased the other 3 novels in this collection). This story is so emotionally compelling it will keep you on the edge of your seat and turning those pages as quickly as you can read them. I absolutely loved Camryn and Jamie’s story. Their story is one of childhood friendship that grows into soulmate loves. They have ignored their feelings for one another thinking the other may not be interested in them only to discover years later that yes, indeed they had feelings for each other.
They slowly begin to express feelings for each other in their newfound relationship only to have it challenged in a very real, very big deal. As Camryn fights with herself after a nightmare takes place in her life, Jamie is caught between his desire to care and protect her verses his need to demand she let him just do it. With this new factor in their lives Jamie is working twice as hard for Cami to let him in. Can Cami heal from this event and can Jamie be patient (one more time) for her to come to him?

This was a fantastic book, a great start to the series. Will Cami and Jamie get their happily ever after? Will Cami find out what is brewing between Linc and Morgan and finally will Christian forever more be the confirmed bachelor everyone believes him to be or has he finally met the woman to calm his wild free spirit? All these questions can be answered by finishing reading the series....

Best friends afraid to take the next step for fear of ruining a good thing – that is Camryn and Jamie. In fact, a good portion of this book is also about a group, who has been friends since about grade school. How they stick together, and have each other’s back. It makes me wish I had so many close friends from my youth, and could hang out together…I think I’m a bit jealous ;)

At the center are Camryn and Jamie, best friends, who are afraid of destroying that relationship if they begin dating. This story takes on a journey of good times from their childhood, to an unexpected horrible event just as they decide to make a go of an exclusive relationship. How do they get past this event, will they get past this event?

I really enjoyed this book despite it being about a young inexperienced woman, Camryn, with her more experienced best friend / boyfriend-to-be, Jamie. I was able to picture and feel like part of this book…as if I was just another friend hanging out and experiencing the story. I felt sad, and shed a few tears during the sad and tender parts of the book.

There will be another book following this, but this one ends with a pretty good HEA.
I rated it 4.5* because I’m a bit tired of the inexperienced girl, with the experienced guy scenario. And though I really enjoyed the book, I felt the pace at beginning of the book could have been a little faster, but certainly didn’t detract from the story. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review

I enjoyed this story. I loved books that are friends to lovers.

Cami and Jamie have been friends since they were young, best friends actually and because Jamie is her brothers best friend too he spent more time at their place than any other.
So how does he tell her that he has feelings for after all these years. And what will he do if she doesn't feel the same.

Cami has been in love with Jamie for a long time. He has been apart of her life for so long that she can't imagine her life without him. So Cami is coming home for a few months and will this be time that she will tell him how she feels about him

This book was about love and friendship and so much more. And just when you think they will get their happily ever after, tragedy hits. How will they cope with this, will it bring them closer or tear them apart.

Definitely worth adding to your TBR list

Holy cow!! I never expected this book to take on these events. No words can really express my feelings towards this book. I am a bit speechless. I have to say that this awesome is knew to me and swept me off my feet!

Jamie just makes me swoon and the fact that he is apart of such a close group and has this awesome girl as his best friend just warms me up. You always see those friends to lovers book but for me I don’t really connect with them too much. Their stories are basically friends one minute and then together the next, this book is unlike anything I really have read. It swept me off my feel by making me fall in love with Jamie and Camryn and then swift foot in my face left me feeling broken. The emotions I felt throughout this book were so real I thought this was a true thing happening in front of me. That I was a witness to because of how each emotion, each act, each words said or not spoken rang in my head! I felt like my hand was over my mouth for a good portion of this book because I was so shocked!!!

Way to go Ms. Davenport!! I’m hooked!! I have to see what happens with each member of this group and try to get glimpses of Jamie again! I am so impressed with your writing and the ability to bring real life issues to light and show how each woman matters. Inspiring book!

This was anything but the typical friends become lovers read. Camryn and Jamie have been friends for years which turned into feelings for one another. Feelings that neither spoke of. Work has brought Camryn back home and Jamie knows this is the moment that things are going to happen for them. However a horrible event changes things and they are both left struggling. Jamie waits for Cami through everything but can she find her way back to him?

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Cami and Jamie are both great characters and I really felt for their struggles. The story is very well written and flows wonderfully. As I said it isn’t the typical friends to lovers tale in that there is so much more depth to not only the characters but to the story as well. This was H.P Davenport’s début novel and I applaud it loudly! I can’t wait for the next book in the series and will be following this author closely.

Unspoken Words is the first book in the Unspoken Love Series.
Although its apart of a series they are read as standalones.
This is HP Davenports debut novel and she did a fantastic job!
I would give this book a 4.5 stars and highly recommend to others.
Be prepared to go through a roller coaster ride of emotions.

This story for me had a great story line, fantastic sexy scenes, and pure raw emotion that will bring you to tears.

Camryn and Jamieson have been best friends since they were kids, they have an unbreakable bound not matter what is going on with there lives. Both secretly in love with one another... is it finally there time to speak the unspoken words or will they hold back so they don't ruin the lifelong friendship??

Tragedy strikes in a horrible way just when Camryn starts to let loose and let herself feel finally for Jamieson.. will they be able to come back from it? Or will it just put a big gaping hole in there friendship and somewhat relationship??

I can't wait for the next book in the series Unspoken Promises Lincoln and Morgan's story! Great start to what I feel is going to be a fantastic series!
