Chris had never really fit in with the other kids...
Chris: He says I’m a dragon. A fire dragon. And that he’s an ice dragon? It’s not that I think he’s a liar, or anything. I mean, he’s my professor, and he’s never lied to me before. But it all just sounds too good to be true. Not to mention, it would explain why I’ve been the outcast all my life. And why he took such an interest in me in the first place. Still, it’s nice to be wanted, for once. I just wish he’d explain what’s going on with me. I’m an adult – his dragon mate, he said. I can handle it.
James: I’ve been scenting a fire drake for months now. I never would’ve guessed it was the skinny redhead from my third class. Luckily, his blood awoke when I was around to claim him. Now we’re mated, as two drakes should be. Except, he wasn’t raised a dragon – didn’t know he was a dragon. He’s a half, actually. Still thinks too much like a human. At least he didn’t balk at our mating. But I worry that the pregnancy will be harder for him to grasp.
Note: Fire for Ice is a standalone M/M professor student story, with steamy love scenes, Mpreg and a HEA ending!
I read just the first story not the bonus ones. I so wanted to love this, setting so unusual, and I cannot. Mildly like is about it. I understand it is a short story and those are not filled with a lot of details. But, more backstory would’ve been better than numerous times Chris complained no one liked him. Ending was abrupt and I hope author continued this story in another way.
I'd really rather prefer knowing that a books is a collection of short stories instead of thinking its a novel or novella. The stories aren't bad, but I'm extremely disappointed that this book is marketed as if it was a single novel and no mention of it being a collection of shorts.
Chris never felt like he belonged anywhere or with anyone. He decides to travel while completing his degree and decides on an interschool transfer to Norway. His mother died while giving birth to him and his father seemed to have withdrawn from everyone. His main professor is James Holt. James sits near Chris whenever possible but maintains a cool disinterest toward him. Chris is a fire drake, unbeknownst to him. James is an ice drake. A very old one and cannot believe Chris is the drake he has been scenting for months.
I felt some ideas needed flushed out more, but an interesting story and a quick read.
I loved reading this wonderful book it was really good. I love the relationship between James and Chris they have a beautiful relationship. I love that they got their happily ever after ending. I love the twists and turns in this book. The author of this book is a really good writer. I will recommend this book to everybody I know and to all my friends too.
A nice light gentle read. A shy history major falls for his professor on an elective to Norway. There appears to be something pulling them together, Professor Holt claims it's Chris's body heat. Whatever it is Chris feels more confident in Holt's presence. A pleasant addition to the dragon shifter genre.
I'm kidnapped...oh look I'm a dragon... And someone just tried to kill me ... I'm not going to wonder what in the world is going on or why I am a dragon... Or why people are trying to kill meI'm just going to jump right into having sex with this guy that obviously knows what's going on could care less about telling me
3.5 stars, dragon shifter. Romantic tale of ice drake professor and half human/fire drake college student in Norway. Chris is captured and rescued by Holt. Heat, sex, bonding, mpreg. Baby born. One long wild very good sex scene during the heat.
A young man goes to finish school in Norway unaware that he is a fire Dragon. But while there he meets a ice Dragon who is his mate and saves his life, twice. Enjoy I did..
This was a good book although there was no name for the baby and also I just feel like there were things in this book that were missing that should have been there but weren't
