After a three-year nightmare relationship, Alana is convinced she will never find love and lets her father talk her into marrying a man she's never met. She agreed to it, but it doesn't mean she has to like it. Alana's immediate distaste for her new husband has her determined to make his life a living hell. She maintains her combative stance while trying to ward off his arrogant appeal.

Devin admits he's met his match as his new wife proves to be a hand-full. Their arguments become legendary battles as he struggles to open his mind to her. Time and a whole lot of healing are the remedies that will allow him to peel away scabs from Alana's past to reveal the beauty she keeps hidden.

Pent up passion fuel this highly argumentative couple who learn to love as good as they fight each other. Will they call a truce in time to see who or what's stalking them?

This book has a little of everything in it especially as the title specifies "Anger and Arrogance", it also has a touch of laughter. I found myself laughing like crazy during some of the book. I don't want to blow the story with a spoiler, but you have to read it and what I can say is what a RELATIONSHIP!!!...LOL I believe this is book four or five that I have read from this author.

This is an odd story. Arranged marriage between two people (Alana & Devin) that have never laid eyes on one another and they meet on the day of their wedding, at the altar. The story they've been told is the marriage is for political reasons. The groom's father wants to get into politics. The newly married couple live with his parents in their mansion. Though, now married Devin continues to date and have sleepovers with his off and on girlfriend while his wife sleeps across the hall. Initially, Alana gives him much anxiety and grief (rightly so) until he finally starts thinking with his brain.

They eventually become reasonably cordial to one another and they have a relationship breakthrough. Then, the story takes a very odd turn into paranormal craziness. The story ends on a cliffhanger. This is Book 3 in the series and it's supposed to be a stand-alone. Doesn't that mean it's supposed to have a conclusion? In the synopsis for Book 4, no mention is made of this couple and the new book features people I've never heard of -- so I am confused.

The author could benefit from the use of beta readers. There are typos, tense issues and misuse of words. Still, I'm going to read Book 4 (eventually) to see if Alana & Devin make an appearance as I would like a conclusion to their story.

NOTE: As of October 20, 2016 | Book 3: Anger & Arrogance and Book 4: Sevyn are free at All Romance eBooks.

Funny

This book at times had me laughing out loud. The paranormal part did not come about until later in the book and there has to be another book because so many unanswered questions

Disclaimer: I received a free copy in exchange of an honest review.

My first read of Michele Wesley, and I would not hesitate to say that I liked the author's work.

The author gets straight to the point. There is no concept of showing background story in the start of the novel, or describing some scenery that other authors do (God knows why!!) which only bores the reader. So here we have Alana, who under the pressure of her father is getting married to a guy whom she doesn't know and haven't seen either. Same is the situation with Devin (the groom). They both meet directly at the alter. The author has done a fantastic work of showing how Alana literally hates Devin and cannot stand him, but has to go through with the marriage for 6 months, after which she will be free. During these 6 months, there are many moments between Devin and Alana that reveals their attraction as well as their annoyance towards each other.

Once again, the author has beautifully laid out the romance between the leads and the way, their feelings do a topsy-turvy situation whether they are near each other or apart.

The suspense part did take me by surprise. I wasn't expecting that guy to be the one to do what he did with Alana. That was a complete shocker. Brilliantly written by Wesley. Through the writing, I could imagine the scenario of the horror that Alana went through.

The telepathy part did have a role to play; however, since it will be revealed in coming parts of the book, I kind of lost interest then.

The ending should have been made within this book itself, rather than making it to be continued.

Overall, a good book to read to pass the time.

I was given a gifted copy by Story Cartel in exchange for an honest review.
Alana is very rude with her husband. I can’t understand why she is so mean to him.
Devin is so arrogant sometimes “What woman in her right mind could turn away from someone that looks like me?” However, other times he is sweet and tender.
The first half of the book is difficult to read because some sentences are written in a strange way and sometimes I didn’t know who was speaking. The second part of the book is so interesting and fast-paced and I couldn’t put it aside. There are a lot of unanswered questions that I suppose will be answered in the next book.
The book is in need of another round of editing as there are several typos and words used wrongly.
Although at the beginning I wasn’t very sure about the story, I have to confess that I enjoyed the book. It was very funny and sometimes I laughed out loud for example with this sentence: “I don’t like this Alana. This new you isn’t working for me. As much as I hate to admit it, I like the short-fused, firecracker, wasp, fire ant, witch riding a broom, cursing version of you much better.”
I think the author is very good at keeping the mystery of the book till the very last page.

This book was good. I liked the journey the couple had to make to get to the point where they would be a true couple. The characters had me feeling tons of different things. One moment I would hate one of them the next thought they were adorable. No black and white here just grey. I think the couple will go on to lead a complicated life but at least they will have each other.
Now what I did not like. Each book seems to be about a different set of people and with so many questions left unanswered about Alana and the possibility of not knowing the answers leaves me a bit disgruntled. I suppose at the end of the series it could have light shed upon it however I just prefer when each couple faces and conquers the problems. I don't want to read about Alana's past with other characters in the forefront of future books. Just seems like its not a conclusion to her story. That however is just my opinion.
the book itself was very interesting and I am glad i read it.
