He Is A Navy SEAL Devoted To The Military Life

Enrique Ricardo “Rico” Zayas, known among the SEALs as Ghost, has an unencumbered life; living like a nomad. His life is all about the military, about his SEAL mates and about executing the next assignment. With dark emotionless eyes, others who come into contact with him often only encounter the cold and menacing side of him. But then he is suddenly the joint-guardian of a teenager and his life is never the same again.

˃˃˃ Tempted By The Woman He Is Sworn To Protect

Rico feels anything but cold when he returns from his frequent overseas missions and his ward is no longer the teenager he left behind. Used to functioning as the government’s cold deadly weapon, the formidable Ghost was finding it impossible to maintain his usual detached façade in the face of the bliss her love promised. He is blindsided by her effect on him. Despite the paranormal chemistry between them threatening to erode his good intentions, Rico is determined to resist the temptation she embodies.

˃˃˃ She Is An Orphan Tormented By Her Siblings

Orphaned as a toddler, Cherone Bouchard is doing everything she can to survive her elder siblings’ tyranny. But just as she thinks all is lost, she is rescued by her brother’s SEAL teammates to fulfill his dying wish. Still a teenager, the five SEAL members become her guardians. But Cherone does not make the mistake of thinking of them as her parents, especially not the youngest SEAL, Rico.

˃˃˃ She Knew He Was The One As Soon As She Saw Him, But Can She Get Through His Defenses?

From the day he first speaks to her, she immediately recognizes that he is her mate. Cherone knows she has her work cut out for her when training this reluctant husband, a role he has no intention of ever playing. With capabilities she had inherited from her Creole great grandmother, Cherone will find ways to seduce this SEAL to her way of thinking.

Expecting their love affair to progress smoothly, Cherone was ill-prepared for the violence of the battlefield to follow these military men home. She and Rico will have to employ their unusual connection to survive the threat.

The first romance novel I ever read was Cinderella! I devoured Disney’s version of romance until I was eleven, and then I discovered Mills & Boons. In those days kissing was the most explicit intimacy disclosed: the hero and heroine went to bed and came out the next day with smiles! I had no idea what happened, but I was intrigued. My mom had shelves and shelves of them. Over the long summer breaks, I barely left my bedroom! My busy parent had no idea what I was up to. I’ve always been fascinated with love stories. I started writing in college, but I never expected anyone would ever read my whimsical musings. LOL! Now years later, after husband and kids, and a solid career in finance I’ve started publishing those early ideas.

I write my stories so that every woman would be inspired to find the other half of themselves. With every story I tell, my Caribbean sisters are highlighted. Our culture is a melting pot of all ethnicities, where love has no color. We love who we love and make no apology for it. These stories are also infused with my love for sports and action thrillers. I’m an avid sports fan. Tennis, football, track and basketball are my favorites. I devour dramas and action movies. So it’s to be expected that my books have a healthy dose of adventure.

Writing romance novels has been a dream I never knew I had. It was born out of suddenly having a little extra time with the kids out of the house. I absolutely love this creative outlet.

Author’s Creed
I like women strong, and my men stronger!
I like my sex raunchy but meaningful!

I'm disappointed that it took me so long to discover this author. Her books are right up my street. Intrigue, action, shmex, layered story, broody over powering alpha male, a kick ass female protagonist, and happy ever after; multiple checks on every front.

This is a story of two lovers who are destined to be together. They share telepathic connection which naturally allows them to communicate silently. Very handy considering the hairy situations they get themselves into.
Rico the h, finds and rescues his future creole wife Cherone from a child prostitution ring run by non other than her family. From then on he takes her under his wing and slowly falls in love with her when she reaches adulthood. Rico is sent on a mission which goes wrong and this is where the telepathic connection he has comes in handy.

I will say I found Cherone a tad annoying. Getting herself into all sorts of scraps without thinking about the safety and security of others. She really needed a kick up the arse for being such a donkey on numerous occasions.

That aside, I loved all the secondary characters which added a rich layer of intrigue and suspense and humour considering the number of death and fight scenes.

I'd love to read Sean's story. He sounds a hoot and definitely needs a woman to bring him to his knees a bit.

All round, 4.5 stars. I would have given it 5 stars but I found there were just too many instances of fighting/action and I found the heroine annoying after a while on account of her stubbornness and downright stupidity at times.

I read this book second in the series (although, I read book 3 first) and it's my third favorite book in the series (now at 4 books to date). As he is dying from injuries, Charone's (Roni) brother, Adam, asks his SEAL mates to look after Roni. What the SEAL mates encounter is an attempt by Roni's surviving siblings to sell her for prostitution. They nip that in the bud, but don't tie of the loose ends. In any case, early on in Rico's presence, Roni realizes that she can Rico can communicate telepathically (but can't read each other's minds) and this ability is significant in Roni's family. Although all SEALS vow to see to Roni's well being, Rico ends up being the one to house Roni. I don't know what part was nurture and what part was nature, but Roni ultimately ends up being very spoiled- and it shows numerous times. She's very caring and constantly seeking to help others, but she makes some very brat-like choices that had me rolling my eyes MANY times throughout the story, especially when she sulks over something Rico has absolutely no control over. But, ultimately, they find their bliss together. I loved that the story had some psychic elements, which actually helped save them multiple times. Although it was never explained in this book, book 4 provides a little more insight (but not much) regarding the origins of Rico's psychic ability. Overall, it was a great story with humor, action, and steamy love scenes- all wins in my book.

Wowza

This author knows how to get me into the supernatural. Each book has a slight glimpse of it, with an age gape, and some color.

Rico and Roni were a sweet couple and I enjoyed getting to know them. Rico has been a silent but deadly ghost in all the other books. Finally having his story, pleased me.

Onward to book three (3).

Unusual Romance

A sad start that leads to violence, romantic ideas and much more of the same a second time. Except it was filled with twists and turns that kept me reading. I enjoyed Twin Souls and wish I could find that forever someone who loves having my back and I want to have theirs.

Let the heat begin!

This storyline had me from the beginning with its intrigue. It also had me laughing at points and agreeing with the characters points of view throughout the book.

We can't choose the family we're born into, but we can choose the family we want to belong to.

It may have triggers for some so, but the book is pretty good!

Enjoyed

Cheron was very hard headed and stubborn, but she didn't let anyone keep her from who she wanted. Rico tried his best to run from his destiny until he finally gave in. I love the twin soul aspect of the story, it was a unique twist. Enjoyed reading this book.

I thought Dominic book was good. Rico and Cherone story was good from beginning to end. Cherone knew she wanted Rico since she was a kid. She went after her man. Rico knew he had feelings for her. I am glad they finally are together.

Aww...so cute

Rico and Cherone's story is so cute...didn't start that way...would have gone very wrong if Rico and the guys didn't save her from a fate worse than death...but she had powers passed down to her from her Creole great grandmother....all she needed was the brute strength of her Seals....but for certain instances in the story...I couldn't figure out the erotic dreams from the real thing...I hope Sean is next..
