MANACONDA: The Second Coming should not be read as a stand alone as the events pick up immediately upon the cliff hanger of book one.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Hunter and Kenny) MANACONDA: The Second Coming is the continuation of Hunter and Kenny’s storyline. Hunter’s ex-girlfriend is back on the scene but she has apparently latched onto Hunter’s bandmate Bats, and with it comes worry and fear for the man Hunter loves like a brother. But all is not well in the romance department when Kenny decides it is better to walk away than watch the man that she loves implode when his ex girlfriend starts hanging around.
MANACONDA: The Second Coming follows Hunter as he desperately tries to reclaim the woman that he loves. While touring the world, Hunter ‘woos’ Kenny from afar, hoping that upon his return, she will forgive him for his loss of control. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense. The premise is focuses on the rebuilding of a relationship; the characters are colorful and charismatic; but we are still not privy to the inside information that finds Hunter’s bandmate Bats on the verge of destroying the band.

Hunter and Kennedy are only a week into their kinda-sorta-maybe relationship, but trouble does seem to follow Hunter wherever he goes, and even though Kennedy is an expert at spinning the trouble her clients get into, the fact that everything is far more personal with Hunter adds a kink into what should be a walk in the park for her. He seems to go off the rails every single time his bandmate, who just happens to be one of his closest friends, is with his ex-fiancée. His reaction is perfectly understandable...if he still had feelings for his ex. And that's what gives Kennedy pause. Does Hunter still love his ex-fiancée? Why the violent reaction and why get into physical altercations with his friend over someone he claims to be over?
If you're a man and you've screwed up with your significant other, you'll want to pick up a few tips from our guy Hunter. In wanting to show Kennedy that he's all in with her and that she's the only woman who's ever made him feel the way he feels now, he does this mini grand gestures that had me grinning and swooning. And that epilogue?! Gah!!! Sweetness overload! I loved every bit of it because dogs add that extra something that made it perfect. Oh, and the situation between Hunter and Reed "Bats" Mason was resolved in a way, but we don't get the answer as to what's his thing with Hunter's evil ex, giving us something to anticipate when Bats's book comes along. This was an enjoyable end to Hunter & Kennedy's story. A quick read that solidified their bond after they overcome some issues and Hunter utilizes the distance to "woo" Kennedy; which makes up for their quick start.
Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott also gives us more of the rest of the band. Just enough to entice and leave us wanting more.
Stay tuned for Keys' story coming in April. I can't wait for it. She wasn't features much so there's plenty mystery of the person she is, aside from her cooky/sweet personality.

Yay, Hunter Jordan is back and sexier than ever! In this second installment, we join Hunter and Kennedy, as well as the rest of the band. Hunter is still mad at Bats and Vic just won't go away. This review may spoil book one.
"The problem with Hunter was that he seemed to have only two settings-steamroller and sweetheart." ~ Kennedy
This makes her job even harder. Not only does Kennedy have to deal with the Manaconda (yes, in that way too-lucky girl), but she also has to keep Hunter on the straight and narrow in the eyes of the press. This thing with Bats and Vic never seems to go away and it makes Kennedy a little unsure of what is really going on.

Gah, I love this guy! Sure he's a bit of a hot head, but man does he make up for it in romantic gestures. I was all in with the first book, and Hunter Jordan in this second part seals the deal. He's trying to make things right with Bats, Kennedy as well as the whole band. That's a lot for one guy to juggle without making mistakes. Which he does.

The way it should be. These two have so much going on around them, it's almost impossible for them to have any sort of real relationship. I do love that Hunter never gives up. Even enlisting the help of Carter and Tristan this time around. The book is well written and Hunter tops my list of book boyfriends. So, Manaconda, The Second Coming was everything that I had hoped for, and then some.
We saw more of the sweet and romantic side of Hunter. We watched him work his way back into Kennedy’s life and finally realize just what he would lose if he didn’t smarten up over Bats and Victoria. He did an old fashioned wooing and he stole my heart.
Kennedy finally had to face the facts that she fell in love with Hunter. Despite his preoccupation with Bats and Victoria. But, love won over as Hunter started showing her it was about more than the Manaconda.
Still haven’t figured out Bats and Victoria but I am sure there will be more of them in the future and maybe, just maybe Cari and Taryn will let us in on some of the secrets in Keys book.
I was really looking forward to The Second Coming. I had such a good time reading the first book and couldn’t wait to find out how Hunter was going to win Kenny back. He really surprised me with the way he handled the situation and just what he did to bring her around. Cari and Taryn really kept this story light and fun. They wrote a crew of characters that you can’t help but fall in love with. From Noah to Wyatt, the extended family of Hammered will keep you amused and wanting more. Finishing up Hunter and Kennedy’s story with Love N’ Paws was the right touch, brought the story full circle and just made me want more.

Recommended to read Manaconda #1 before reading this Novella and conclusion of Manaconda:
Hunter and Bats are at it again and have destroyed an event at a record store. Enters Kennedy, finding Hunter and Bats in handcuffs and Victoria Sheer sobbing into her hands. Kennedy has to defuse the situation and get the boys out of cuffs, which is accomplished by her knowing the officer, very well, which doesn't make Hunter happy.
The situation between Hunter and Bats is, they aren't talking and avoiding each other isn't in the picture since they have promotional events they have scheduled.
Kennedy calls a stop to seeing Hunter outside of business, which Hunter doesn't make easy.
Tarryn and Cari have written another great book and conclusion to the story. I enjoy the writing and stories that these two authors thankfully write for us to read. I can't wait for the next book in this new series of Hammered.

Seriously Brilliant !!!. This is Kennedy and Hunter's story. Hunter is the lead singer of Hammered and Kennedy is the bands "Handler". Hunter is famous alright, but the second reason for his fame is making him grind his molars......funny as hell !!. Kennedy was just ideal for Hunter, she is a take no prisoners gal with as smooth as silk approach ;0)
Told from duel POV, this book was very funny, extremely well written and just a real page turner. I absolutely cannot wait to read more about the other members of Hammered. I believe Keys is next....you go girl !!

Rock Star and lead singer of the band Hammered, Hunter Jordan, had made some serious missteps in his steamy relationship with Kennedy McManus in the first book in this series. Now he's back to woo his woman, the PR Queen, and get their relationship on track. I love this series, it's sexy, fun and sweet. Plus, there are rescue dogs getting happily-ever-afters...a cause close to my heart. This installment wraps up Kennedy and Hunter, next up is Faith 'Keys' Keystone's story in the next book in this series. I can't wait!

This novella takes off exactly where Manaconda left off -- so you really do need to read the first one before digging into this story.
It's not giving anything away that Cari and Taryn go for the Happily Ever After -- but getting there can sometimes be an arduous trek for their characters. Great ending to Hunter's story.

I enjoyed this, for a quick light read. The flow started a bit slow, but picked up somewhere around 20% in. The characters are likable, Hunter is surprisingly a great character though he's super complicated & has some depth to him, for a normal rock star book (which I appreciated), he really drove the story. Kenny was not as well developed in the book in my opinion, I also felt she was driven by lust, not love for at least 2/3rds of the book. There was some unresolved questions (but didn't affect the ending) from events in the book, that I suspect will be answered in the subsequent books in the series. There is an HEA at the end that tied everything up for the couple. The one thing I found hard to keep up with, all the different characters introduced to the reader so fast early in, then later mentioned in the book just by name, that I was like who was that?

The fun and flirtiness of the Hammered series continues as bad boy rock star Hunter and his new ladylove Kennedy scorch up the sheets while trying to make their rocky relationship work in this second installment in this sexy yet humorous series. Throw in fellow bandmate Reed "Bats", who's spending time with Hunter's egotistical and manipulative ex, and even more obstacles stand in the way of their HEA. Though it's painful that their recent happiness is once again in doubt because of Hunter's issues regarding his ex, it's readers who reap the rewards as Hunter's plan for forgiveness is sweet, romantic, and sexy. To win Kennedy back after he and Bats once again come to blows publicly over his ex, he pulls out all the stops to show her that she's the only woman for him. Through phone calls, texts, and sentimental gifts Hunter shows her in many little ways how important she is and with each gesture Kennedy and readers are won over by this former player. Throughout the story Hunter oozes sex appeal as well as charm. He's a caring guy with intense emotions that sometimes get him into trouble. But with a little help from his friends, and some super cute dogs, he proves himself worthy of Kennedy in a richly satisfying conclusion. Kennedy too is an appealing character, smart and strong-willed, who's not afraid to show her girly side. She may be angry with Hunter over his reactions towards his ex, but she has difficulty holding on to that anger as he unleashes his romantic plan for forgiveness.
With their romance strongly on display here, there's still a mystery as to Bats and the hold Hunter's ex has over him. Whatever it is it's clear that it has the power to destroy him and the band and it has me longing to get to the truth. Though there's not a definitive resolution to Hunter and Bats's issues, the brotherly bond that was once so strong between them reasserts itself to bring about a cease fire that makes me think this is the calm before the storm. Seeing the secretive yet flamboyant Bats, along with unconventionally sexy Chef Tristan, as well as strong but silent bandmate Wyatt added much enjoyment to this story. The playful banter between Hunter and Tristan over Kennedy's attentions was humorous and endearing as Hunter desperately wanted to come out on top in their battle of egos. The sage advice from Wyatt to an emotionally bruised Hunter was a subtle yet insightful moment that was the epitome of bromance and left me even more fascinated by Wyatt. Overall these secondary characters are larger than life and promise many steamy moments of their own as the series progresses.
On a whole this was a sensual story of forgiveness where Hunter and his sigh-worthy endeavors to win over Kennedy were the entertaining focus. He made me laugh as well as brought a tear to my eye and for that I will add him to my list of book boyfriends. He may be sexy and gained notoriety for a certain big body part, but he also has a big and kind heart. He and Kennedy create sparks, whether when they're together or through sexting, and it laced the story with tons of sexual tension while Hunter proved his worth. This was a quick read but no less satisfying for it and I'm left chewing at the bit for the next installment and more insight into the decadently delightful members of the band Hammered and their colorful group of friends and associates.

This is the end of Hunter and Kennedy's story. While it seems Hunter still has feelings for his ex-fiancé Victoria, that he keeps fighting with Reed, the band member that seems to be spending too much time with her. While Kennedy wants nothing personal to do with Hunter if the fighting keeps up. She will continue to be the PR person for the band but can she stay away from Hunter? While on a week long tour that turns into three weeks, Hunter will do what he can to show Kennedy that he wants her and will do what it takes to make the relationship work. Will he ever get Reed to see that Victoria is only using him to keep herself in the spotlight? Will things work out for Kenny and Hunter as they want them too? I am loving this series and can't wait for more and I want to know what Reed is up to and why he is hanging around with Victoria. The next book will be about "Keys" and is due out April 8th, which is my birthday (what a great present this is going to be).

Thank God for more Hunter James! The Second Coming is a short novella that picks up where the first Manaconda leaves off so unless you've read part 2, do not read this one yet! I absolutely love Hunter's playful, romantic side. He's a total alpha male rockstar who is the antithesis of what you expect a rockstar to be. I mean, yes....he's hot as Hades and has the body (and Manaconda of course!) to go along with the image. However, what I love most about him is that he's sensitive, thoughtful and a genuinely nice guy! He's totally relatable! He and Kennedy have amazing chemistry and their story is one where you are totally rooting for them to be together. Manaconda: The Second Coming was worth the cliffhanger wait. The ending.....SWOON!!!!! Can't wait for the next book in the Hammered series!

This is the 2nd part to the Manaconda story and was given as a free read for readers to enjoy. I recommend reading this after its namesake, as reading it out of order will not make sense. This is book 1.5 in the Hammered series.
Hunter is trying to win back the love of his life in this book. The story continues with Kennedy trying to move on with her life. Not wanting to be hurt again.

Manaconda: The Second Coming by Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott.
This was a great conclusion to Hunter and Kennedy's story. A bit more drama but still witty and enjoyable. Kennedy learns to let go of some of her insecurities and Hunter shows us the art of wooing.
Some of the secondary characters have definitely captured my attention and I can't wait for their stories.
The one thing that I really love about reading books from these two authors is that they usually find a way to mention much-loved characters from their other books. For me, this feels like a hug from someone I haven't seen for a while and I love that!
You must read Manaconda before reading this. It's really a great, fun start to a new series.

LOVED this ending!
Hunter is in way over his head. He's lost his girl over the erratic choices he's made, and now he's determined to win her back.
But it won't work unless he plans it just right.
With a little help from his friends, Hunter puts his plan in motion. Trust me when I say you're gonna fall in love with Hunter all over again. After the hell he's been through, you will definitely be rooting for him to make up with Kennedy.
As stated before, this free ending wraps up the story of Hunter and Kennedy, but still leaves a few unanswered questions for another simultaneous story line. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Now, since I have a few months until it releases, hopefully I can backtrack and read the Lost in Oblivion Series. I hear it's fantastic, and we all know I have a slight (okay, not so slight) obsession with rockers.

When we left Hunter, he & Bats were both in handcuffs after brawling at a show, while Kennedy was left to try smoothing things over. Needless to say, she's had it with the both of them, and she has decided that maybe a relationship with Hunter wasn't worth the trouble. So what does Hunter do? Try to prove that he's sorry for making her job harder, of course. There's just one little problem. She believes that he's still hung up on his ex & nothing he says can change her mind.
What follows next is a glimpse of Hunter's softer side & we get to see the lengths that he is willing to go to win her back. Too bad he is getting ready to leave for a multi-city promotional tour.

This picks up right where Manaconda left so you need to read that one first! Hunter is the lead of a rock band and Kennedy is the PR agent for them. Things weren't looking good between the two of them at the end of book 1 but Hunter is determined to win her back. He takes his time and works on "wooing" her. Can she be wooed? Is it enough to get over what happened in book 1? You have to read it to find out. The next book is about Faith "Keys" in this series and I'm looking forward to it. Although to be honest, I'm seriously intrigued with what's going on with "Bats". Can't wait to keep reading. Love this new series!

The Second Coming is Hunter's chance to win and woo back Kenny. He messed up with his constant fights with Bats over his ex. We get it, we understand it, but his reaction to the situation leads Kennedy to believe Hunter isn't over his cheating ex fiance. Why else would he have such and extreme reaction.
For Hunter it's not that. After a week with Kennedy he knows she is the one. He needs her with him. Starting with help from Noah, Tristan, and Carter he will stop at nothing to prove she means everything to him. IT was fun to read him grovel to get her back. It was funny. it was sweet. It was worth the read. I seriously enjoyed and can't wait for Keys story.

I can't deny that I adore everything these women write. Every word. The Second Coming was no exception. I'm already in love with Hunter and after reading this and seeing his more romantic, softer side, made me fall harder. He's a rockstar with a giant manaconda, but the man is what every woman dreams of having in her life and bed. Another GREAT story by my two favorite authors. Cannot wait for Keys story, these women write kick ass rockstar stories....and ever other kind.

Part 2 of Manaconda, Hunter & Kennedy's story. Hammer is the hot rock band which Hunter "Manaconda" fronts. This is a new series with several twist and characters which will be developed through the series. You see and hear about other characters from the Oblivion series as well. This is a cute and fun loving story of two people destine to be together but have to figure out how to make it work. I enjoyed this book and feel you will too!

I just frigging love these two. They have had some rough patches and come through because of the effort they put into it. Still not sure what is going on with Reed, but I will devour that story too when it comes out. Hunter and Kennedy are so darn perfect for each other and once he finally starts listening to everyone, he shakes the mantle that was Victoria and moves on. Can’t wait to follow up on them in the future.

Thank you for the short wait for the next book in this series. I love that Hunter has a romantic softer side and is willing to woo Kennedy to try and win her back. WIll he be successful? Will there be a HEA? Read book 1 Manaconda 1st then this book to find out! Looking forward to Manhandled, Keys story.

This was the perfect ending to Hunter and Kenny's story! You do need to read the first one because this starts where that ends. It's a quick sexy romantic read with broken hearts, tension, love and wooing. In these books you get to meet the rest of the band and a little into each of their lives. Now I'm just waiting for all their stories to come out!
