TW for this issue: Detailed drawings of murder
Personal Review: The issue is mostly just them chasing Soundwave. Not that interesting, but it's necesary for the plot. I just view it differently because my dumb self is deciding to review each issue instead of the whole omnibus, all because I'm obsessive and feel the need to write down every detail ever, just in case \_(ツ)_/¯
I bully Starscream a lot because I'm use to him in the cartoons where he is a screechy loser, but he is actually really cool in IDW and it's great seeing how genuinely smart and intimidating he can be. He's Megatron's second in command for a reason after all. Also; imagine IDW Starscream with TFP Starscream's voice. It's going to do wonders. Anyways, personal recap time.
-The Autobots are on the hunt for Soundwave. Ironhide (I think it's him? Haven't recognized their alt modes in this art style yet) says that he is dangerous and helped massacre the old senate (omg, Megatron Origin reference). Silverbolt alerts them of his location
-It's genuinely so funny to me when bots that don't have vehicle-based alt modes end up in situation where a vehicle-based alt mode is needed. Soundwave is legit trying to outrun cars right now 😭
-Soundwave ejects Ravage, who knocks out Hound and Bumblebee while also knocking out himself. Prowl and Ironhide then go after him, but he ejects Rumble, who literally shakes the ground and the force ends up knocking them out. I didn't know he could do that. i shouldn't be surprised, though. It's always something with minicons...
-Orion finally catches up with him. Citizens in the back are scared because he's an officer, even though they haven't done anything wrong. Golly gee! I'm so glad me and people in my everyday life can't relate to that! (Lies) . Soundwave ejects Frenzy, who uses frequencies to disturb the minds of the citizens and make them start attacking Orion. GENUIENLY, what are they feeding these minicons???
-To take out Silverbolt, Soundwave ejects Ratbat (you know. The senator from "Megatron Origin"??) and sends him up into the sky to take him out. With the Autobot's main lookout out of the way, they're free to run.
-Later, Soundwave and Frenzy are looking over a Decepticon-controlled Kaon. Frenzy says that he feels bad for leaving Ravage behind and tat he wants to go get him, BUT THEN HE'S LITERALLY SHOT IN THE SPARK BY THE AUTOBOTS!!! Maybe it's just because of my attachment to Soundave/the cassettes and their found family moments, but I literally screamed, 'WHAT THE FUCK?! NO!" when that happened
-Orion Pax appears out of nowhere and punches Soundwave through his chest and to his spark. Soundwave literally grabs Frenzy's arm and uses it to beat Orion. Fight scene that ends with Soundwave knocked out in a pit and the Autobots coming to retrieve Orion
-Party is interrupted when my other beautiful (but not amazing. He's kind of a loser) wife Starscream comes in with his Seekers and holds Orion at gunpoint. He says that his boss (Megatron, probably) is impressed with him and wants to meet with him (gay aliens real??? More likely than you think) and, after he meets with him, they'll be free to go. He holds Bumblebee at gunpoint to threaten Orion into going. The comic ends with Starscream asking Orion "What's it gonna be?" while focusing on Orion's face
