My arrogant and oh-so-sexy stepbrother is a high-powered mobster.
And I need his help if I want to live.
I’ve spent my life being a good girl, and he’s been working his way up through the mob since he was a teenager. We’ve never gotten along, and we both liked it that way.
But now, I’ve seen something I shouldn’t have, and I’m on the run. Around every corner could be the end of me.
The only person I can turn to is my gorgeous but evil stepbrother.
He’s the only one I can trust. But can I even trust him?
I want to stay away from him. I know what he does to me, how he makes my body pulse with excitement just from a look. All that power in that gorgeous, muscular package, covered in tattoos…the moans he gets from me don’t even tell half the tale.
All I need is for him to help me get out of town.
The question is…can I keep my hands off him long enough?
NOTE: This is a complete standalone romantic suspense novel with an HEA, length: 57,000 words.

Escape is a truly beautiful story that is so much more than it appears. It is about a love so true and yet so unexpected that it takes life altering forces to bring it into the light of consciousness. What should be something so effortless and easy becomes complicated and difficult. However, the best things in life are worth fighting for and what better thing to fight for then for love itself? You will find yourself losing your heart to this wonderful storyline, and you won’t regret it at all.
Ronan has his life mapped out for him. He knows what is expected, and he has done his best to live up to those expectations without fail. He feels like it so close to the pinnacle of his achievements that he can almost taste it. Everything is setup and working just as he likes, and he couldn’t be happier with it. Then, his former stepsister Kara walks back into his life bringing with her more danger and confusion than he is prepared to deal with. Just as he feels that old familiar pull to her, he is faced with a growing threat that endangers everything he has worked for and everything that awaits him in the future. Will Kara prove to be his greatest weakness and deadliest distraction that will lead to ultimate downfall, or will she instead unknowingly become his greatest strength and key to his future?
Ronan captivated me while Kara stole my heart. Their shared past tugged at my heart as did the ease with which Ronan opened his heart and his home to her. He needed her in his life more than he was willing to admit. She had the power to save his heart, his life, and his future if he was able to become vulnerable to her in every way. These two fantastic characters eased their way into my heart and refused to leave. They made this story shine and transformed it into so much more than I ever imagined.
Lucy Snow is an incredible wordsmith and author who is very well versed in the many ways to touch your heart deeply and sincerely. Her story will leave you reeling while her characters will charm and mesmerize you. You will walk away from her books thinking about everything you felt and experienced for a long time afterwards. This is a book that all romance fans will enjoy.
I received an arc for an honest review, I really enjoyed this story, it drew me in from the begining. Ronan and Kara ate step siblings, well they were at one time. Kara's mother was married to Ronan's father but left after she couldn't handle his mafia lifestyle anymore. Even though they have lived in the same place they haven't really seen each other or had any contact. Ronan is being groomed to take over the family and it is his job to run all the family clubs and he does a good job at that, but things change when Kara comes to him for help. After witnessing her ex-boyfriend being killed she turns to Ronan for help, she fears that the people who killed her ex might come after her. Ronan hides her but the feelings that they have always had for each other surface and they finally act on them. During this time Kara trys to convince Ronan to leave with her and start a new life but he remains loyal to the family until the Russians come and take Kara. After they are safe and the Russians are delt with they make a decissions to leave and start somewhere new together. I really liked Ronan, it was a little hard for me to know he was going to try and go back to his playboy lifestyle after Kara left but he had a very hard time doing that. Kara was a strong herione who hated to depend on anyone but was smart enough to know that sometimes you just had to do things that ou didn't want to do to save yourself. Other than some grammar and spellling errors which is to be expected for an arc this book was great. I will most definitely read more of this authors works.
It's my first time reading about this author and I can say that I devoured every page of "Escape" through all the intriguing twists and turns. This book really took me on a roller-coaster ride of emotions . I liked the concept of the story , found the character development of Kara & Ronan very interesting, keeping me guessing and wanting for more . I loved Kara , the strong and stunning heroine , so self-assured but totally lost the moment her ex boyfriend get murdered by the Russian Mob . Afraid and upset she runs to Ronan her stepbrother hoping he can help her out her misery with his mob connections. At moments I actually didn 't liked Ronan's behaviour towards Kara and wanted to knock some sense into him ;) Indeed there are some spelling typos in this book , but they didn 't bothered me at the least . I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read about a love story with some hot sizzling sex and lots of suspence & violence . Just enough ingredients to keep you on the edge of your seat till the end ! A huge thank you to Ms. Lucy Snow for such an awesome read , it was so much more than I expected . For me , It really was a "GREAT ESCAPE" and I plan on reading more from her works . ~~~ Received this book as an ARC for an honest review ~~
Thank you so much Lucy for a copy of this book!! I will give my honest review in return. 4.5 stars Such a good book. I did not put this book down. What I really enjoyed about this step brother book is that they didn't keep addressing each other as step this or that. That gets quite annoying to me. And really they aren't even related at this point. So Cassie doesn't really know anything about the mob but she witnesses something awful. The one person she does know that knows anything about the mob is her step brother Ronan. So now that she has witnessed a crime she is in trouble and the first person she thinks to run to is Ronan. And let me say Ronan is a sexy beast. BUT he is such a man whore. And I love how things change with him. Good quick read
*** Received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review *** This author is new to me but I definitely will be reading more of her books. This book has it all...action, a little bit of suspense and a whole lot of sexy bits. It is well written and the story line is awesome. The characters are intriguing especially in their situations and their reactions to their difficulty are especially believable. This is the story of Ronan and Kara, who was step siblings, until Kara's mother left Ronan's father (the head of a mafia family) she couldn't handle his lifestyle. Ronan is being groomed to take his father position, but given the job to run all the family clubs and excel as well as enjoyed the benefits of his position...Kara seek help from Ronan after seeing her ex-boyfriend being killed and knows she would be next if they found her.. I thought Ronan was being an AS* at first but later redeem himself. Both struggled so much, and it was shown they loved each other and tried to ignore the feelings, in the end, it is clear whether that love will be enough to overcome the demons they have survived. I am not going to spoil the ending but I will say that, for me, it was an awesome story.... KUDOS to the author!!!!
I would like all my followers to read this one!!!!
This is the first book I have read by Lucy Snow. I have to say I was truly shocked at the book. It was a very good read. The hero and heroine in the book, Ronan, and Kara are developed and work real well together. Kara's mother was married to Ronan's dad until she found out just he did for a living then she left and divorced him. I loved how Ronan is trying to help Kara and yet has to fight to keep his feelings for his step sister to come out. The way that the characters of Ronan and Kara are developed your taken on a ride that you will never forget. Ronan wants Kara but he wants to be the head of his father's mob family one day, or so he thinks. Kara is in serious trouble and the only person that can help her is her muscled, tattooed, handsome but evil step brother, Ronan. Kara and Ronan both want each other, but can they stay away from each other? Can Ronan protect her and yet do his job with the family? I recommend this book to any body who wants to live the life of a lover to a gorgeous, cocky, Mobster! I promise you will not be disappointed. No spoilers given. An ARC free book for an honest revie
I received an arc for an honest review, this being said, it was not my favorite book. I loved the idea of a mobster falling for his step-sister, however Kara & Ronan are no longer siblings. What I did like about the story: I loved the night club scene, and the story line of Kara witnessing her ex's murder by an up and coming Russian Mobster. What I did not like: The story seemed rushed. I felt like there could have been more characters expanded in order to give a better view of Kara & Ronan. Although I could tell that Ronan & Kara's relationship was growing, there wasn't any details outside of the bedroom to show this growth. I love a good bedroom scene as much as the next person, however I also like to see the characters grow outside of the bedroom. I also did not like the idea of Ronan being so carefree with his sexual partners. If he truly has feelings for Kara, he should not be able to just move on.

This is a mob stepbrother romance and although I'm not much into mob stories, I'm very much into stepbrother romances, so I was happy to read this! It was a super easy and fast read for me and I enjoyed it. In terms of plot, I think it had more mob than romance which I didn't appreciate but the romance was good and that made it worthwhile. Ronan is a weird character and I think I liked Kara better than I liked him, which is pretty unusual for me. I usually like the male characters more than the female ones.
(I'm pretty sure I had a bigger review written for this and it's probably been erased because I wrote or edited it on my phone, that sometimes happens. It sucks. I'm so sorry guys and specially you Lucy :( )
* I was given a free epub copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*
***Received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review*** This author is new to me, however I will be reading more books written by her. This book had me on a roller-coaster of a ride of emotions. I enjoyed the suspense, action and of course the sexy parts, it won’t be a romance books without them! This story is about Ronan and Kara, who were at one time step-siblings, however Kara’s mother didn’t like the lifestyle that Ronan’s dad lied (he was the head of a mobster family) and they got a divorce. Ronan and Kara hadn’t seen each other in years even though they live in the same city, until Kara needs his help. This story had be from the beginning to the end and I wasn’t able to put it down. Thank you, Lucy Snow for the chance to read your book, it was great. I will be reading more of your work!
Received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. It's my first time reading from this author but I definitely will be reading more of her books. This is the story of Ronan & Kara, who were step-siblings, until Kara's mother divorced Ronan's father because she didn't like this career choice. Kara & Ronan have feelings for each other but Kara can't be a part of his life. Ronan need to decide if his feelings for her mean more to him or his obligation to the family.
I always love a Taboo romance. One of the best step-sibling attraction. Keep me on suspense and have great chemistry between hero and heroine. Def a refresher. Such a great read and read in one sitting!!!
Congrats to Lucy!! I received an ARC for my honest opinion. And if you love taboo stories this is a intriguing, suspense, and wtf moment!
Arc review For honest review.this was a great story of family, and love .I really found that the characters in this book stood out and they were complimentary to each other hope you enjoy too.
Ronan was Kara's only hope to staying alive, but asking for his help was the last thing she wanted to do. Kara is so sexy and the last thing he needs when the upcoming negotiations with the Russians requires all his focus
Ronan and Kara in a safe house together results in hot, pent up sex years in the making. Step siblings for a short time had them avoiding each other (for the most part) to get through high school and thus avoiding their mutual attraction. Separate lives afterward but, Kara witnessing the killing of a long ago ex boyfriend is what brought her back to Ronan.
What is happening between them is more than just hot as he__ sex, but for her own good, Ronan gives her money and tells her she needs to get away.
An HEA does happen as the teaser for the story stated, but you need to read everything in between. Believe me, it is so worth it.
ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.
Yes, further editing would help, and I would hope that doesn't discourage you from reading this book. The couple of things I found will be forwarded, so by the time you read this review, it may already be a non-issue
This was an interesting read. I enjoyed the story. The characters are good. Ronan and Kara used to be step-siblings but their parents have been divorced for a few years and they haven't been in touch. They didn't get along as they were both teenagers through it all but when Kara gets in trouble she goes to Ronan for help. She witnessed a murder and knows Ronan's ties to the mob. Ronan runs a legitimate night club and it seems like the shady dealings the Family does, is not super heavy. They are having problems with the Russians, who are bad guys and on the far side of the criminal world. There are quite a few mistakes with wrong words being used and things like that but it wasn't too bad. It was enough to comment on though. I think it can be easily cleaned up and it didn't ruin the story for me. The sex is explicit but not super frequent. There is a lot of sexual tension and innuendo though. Overall, the story moves at a pretty good pace, though it does speed up a few times. I did enjoy this story but not quite as much as Lucy Snow's Alpha Ballers series. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
I received this book in exchange for a honest review. Ronan and Kara's story had a lot of potential. I think the characters needed more development. I found some of the story just to hard to believe. I felt like their first sexual encounter just wasn't believable. They haven't seen each other in years and they jump right in the sack together? I think it would have been better if Ronan actually had to work for it a little bit. I know he never has had to before with other women but that makes it seem that much more needed. It seemed a little rushed as well. There's a scene where Kara thinks maybe the Russian dude that was present the night Greg got killed may have seen her , she finally gets back home and breaks down crying and then starts masturbating and gets herself off. To me it just wasn't believable. I don't know about u but if I just got the crap scared out of me and I'm upset and crying I'm not gonna rub one out straight after. There were a lot of typos so many that it was hard to read the story and make sense of it. I think it has promise but needs to be revamped.
After witnessing her ex boyfriend get murdered by The Russians, Kara found herself on the run and in hiding, She had no one to turn to so she went to her Step Brother Ronan for help. Ronan is part of the mob. Although Kara hasn't seen Ronan in years he still decides to help keep her safe. And sets her up in a safe house. But the more time she's around the more Ronan starts to fall for her but he can't let that happen. He has to get her out of the city not only for her own safety but for his own sanity too. Mob life is the only life he had known and he likes the power and the money and being able to sleep with any woman he wants. He can't afford to have feelings for a woman because in the dangerous world he lives in he just couldn't keep them safe. Kara walks for Ronan too but she can't be part of that life, Part of the mob. Will Ronan give it all up for her or will he send her away to be safe. I enjoyed the way this book alternated between Ronan and Kara's POV, so it gives us more insight into each of their lives and there thoughts and feelings.
I received this for my honest review. Ronan has his life mapped out for him he knows what is expected of him and everything is setup and working just as he likes, he couldn’t be happier with it. Then, his former stepsister Kara walks back into his life bringing with her more danger and confusion than he is prepared to deal with just as he feels that old familiar pull to her, he is faced with a growing threat that endangers everything he has worked for and everything that awaits him in the future. Will Kara prove to be his weakness and deadliest distraction that will lead to ultimate downfall, or will she become his greatest strength and key to his future ? The best things in life are worth fighting for and what better thing to fight for than love itself, You will find yourself losing your heart to this wonderful storyline, and you won’t regret it at all.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and found this book to be intriguing and suspenseful. The story covers Kara, who witnesses her boyfriends murder by the Russians runs to the only person that can help her and that is her ex-stepbrother Ronan, who is the son of the Mafia Don and a playboy. What you will find in this story is drama, suspense, intrigue, Russian mobsters, Mafia, night clubs, emotional feelings, murder, being threaten, abduction, knife fighting, shooting, stabbing, hospital, decisions and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written. The characters have personalities with emotional feelings of desire, fears and needs. I would recommend this book to people who like to read a stepbrother romance with a HEA
I received an arc for an honest review, I really enjoyed this story, it drew me in from the begining. I found the plot very interesting, and strong characters in Ronan and Kara, but somehow I´d expected more development from their minds, and not all of a sudden "I love you". I wished to know them more deeply. Other than some grammar and spellling errors which is to be expected for an arc this book was good. I will most definitely read more of this author´s work
When Kara witnesses something she feels she's in danger and goes to her step brother Ronan who is in the mob. They haven't seen each other in a long time and no longer step siblings. Ronan helps Kara stay safe and the chemistry is there. They both wanted each other for a long time. When the Russian mob comes looking for Kara, Ronan must let her go but Kara isn't safe for long. Can Ronan get to Kara in time? It was a good story, great characters.
Received this complimentary arc copy from the author for an honest review What to do........Run or Hide...Kara needs help after witnessing her ex boyfriend being murdered. There is only one person she can trust.....him...Ronan, her ex stepbrother. She has always said she hated him but she doesn't and he has always felt the same. Ronan is shocked when he sees Kara again and it causes quite a physical reaction
I was so captivated by Ronan and Kara that I couldn't put this book down. Yes, I went to bed the next morning. I need to stop picking up a new book to read at 1a.m. I absolutely loved this book. The chemistry between them is out of this world. The danger just had me flipping pages. I've found myself another author to add to my favourite list. Can't wait to read more from Lucy. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I adore Lucy’s work, and in my opinion, she just gets better and better. Ronan and Kara were stepsiblings at one time, and the chemistry between them is smoking hot. This is a mob story, with suspense, passion, and a true love story. Highly recommend Lucy’s work, and cannot wait for the next book. Awesome job Lucy.
Other then the grammar errors it was a very interesting story. The topics are stepsibblings, mafia- Russian vs Italians, hiding and a horn dog of a man.
There was a lot of grammatical errors but it was a decent book. I've read better from this author but it was a. Nice little read. The storyline wasn't bad but it was missing something but Kara and Ronan where good characters.
I totally love it from page one to the last. It's a refreshing story. A must read one. Ronan and Kara are so good together and from my romantic side I can only said "Love can move mountains".
Well done Lucy!!! I can't wait to read your other books.
I had a hard time putting this book down!! Ronan and Kara are so hot together they make the pages seem as though they are on fire! I just couldn't get enough of these two. Thanks Lucy for a wonderful and exciting read.
Another cracking read by Lucy Snow. Fantastic main characters really liked Ronan and Kara, couldn't take to Arkady thought his character was rather flat. This book could do with another proof read still a few errors but this didn't effect how good a read it was.
