A Reason

"That first breath of freedom you get is the best adrenaline rush you'll ever have. I was blinded by the lights, the people, by not having any responsibilities for once. Even though I had to sleep huddled next to a dumpster that night, I still felt like it was a small price to pay for freedom."

I thought I was free, but it turns out that the very freedom I coveted came with a price. I was desperate to get away and that's when he came.

With steel-blue eyes, muscles for miles, and enough attitude to sink a ship - he made an offer that left me reeling. But as it turned out, I wasn't the only one running from the demons in my sleep.

Is it possible for two damaged souls to save each other?

This was a fun and quick read. I picked up the book, albeit it not being my cup of tea, but the story kept me flipping the pages. Unlike some eroticas that focus solely on bedroom scenes, A Reason kept giving me a reason to continue reading. I liked how each character was portrayed and I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the bedroom scenes :-) Yes! They were steamy... and steamy... and well... steamy... LOL! You get my drift, right?

Everything about the storyline flowed smoothly and nothing seemed forced. Yes, we know from the blurb that Nicole is damaged. But what I liked most was how the author developed Nicole's character, making her fight for her freedom and wanting a better life. And not only does the author introduce Tyler Ward to us, she introduces his brother Alec too. Though the storyline was predictable, I kept flipping the pages. That's how much I enjoyed it. If you're looking for a quick, fun and steamy read, then pick up A Reason. I did not regret the short hours spent reading this book at all :-)

Unfinished book.

Well my record stands strong recently for picking bad books! This book seemed unfinished. The author starts out with a girl being rescued from the streets by a man she thinks is her hero. Only he isn't, he is verbally and physically abusive drug dealer. Nicole is with him for 3 yrs then he sells her for a night to our main H Tyler, who buys her services to save her. Big showdown at Tyler's house then nothing , This guy just up and gives in after is owning this girl for 3yrs?! What?!? Then you have the next plot of Tyler being a drug addict, Nicole needing somewhere to stay and start a life and that all happens at Tyler and his brother Alex's house! Again what?!?
It's like the author had all these story plots threw them in a bowl and just picked a few out put them together and wala her book! No he!! No! Ending abrupt no real conclusion but with this book you'd need more of a story to even get to a conclusion! The title of this book is accurate...You need A Reason to read this book and by my thoughts the author doesn't give me one not a reason to recommend this book to anyone ever! Free read thank gosh!!

Nicole has not had an easy life. Raised in foster care, living on the streets, she now lives with Scott, a violent and abusive drug dealer. Scared and vulnerable, Nicole feels alone in the world until one day she is unexpectedly rescued by Tyler Ward who comes to buy drugs from Scott.
Tyler is an intriguing and complex character and doesn't find it easy to show his feelings. Nicole is instantly attracted to Tyler but unsure of where she stands. Grateful for a roof over her head and determined to better her self, she finds a waitressing job and is careful not too expect too much.
I liked Alec, Tyler's brother, who's kind and understanding and wants the best for Tyler but would have liked to have known more about the two brother's background. The attraction between Tyler and Nicole is mutual but both are damaged characters, each battling with their own demons. Will they find happiness together?
I really enjoyed this book. It's well written; an uplifting read that ends on a hopeful and optimistic note.

A Reason is a quick fun read. Nicole has had a rough life and finds herself living in a less than desirable situation with a drug dealer. However, she reasons she is better off since she has a roof over her head. He drug dealer of a boyfriend, Scott, treats her horribly, but she has nowhere else to go. Enter Tyler Ward, the sexy motorcycle bad boy. Now Tyler shows up to buy pills off Scott and ends up taking Nicole away with him for a price.

Nicole and Tyler both have their demons and fight their very obvious sexual attraction. Tyler is rough around the edges but has a kind heart that pulls Nicole in. The bedroom scenes are steamy and add the requisite passion to the story. Can two broken souls heal each other? If I were Nicole, I would definitely try to heal Tyler Ward. Great debut novel, I recommend it for anyone with an hour or two to spare!

While I do not usually read this genre, I found myself lost in this erotic narrative. This debut novel followed the development of a sensual relationship between a woman and her bad boy savior. The motorcycle rides and lustful bedroom scenes would make any woman jealous of Nicole and wish that Tyler Ward would sweep her anyway from her problems!
The abusive relationship of Scott and Nicole serves as a foil to the pure pleasure Nicole finds in Tyler's arms. As Nicole tries to take the reigns of her new life, she releases the reigns in the bedroom and her heart. The plot of this novel unrolls at a fast pace and the love scenes encourages the reader to read faster!

This was a nice short story.

Nicole hasn’t had it easy, from running away from a foster home to moving in with Scott, an abusive, cheating, drug dealer, she finds herself trapped in a situation she wants out of.
Along comes Tyler and he saves her from a life of Scott’s abuse. While things aren’t easy with Tyler (who is detoxing off drugs), Nicole feels they are both battling their own demons and that they should be together.
Tyler is a good guy despite his issues, he saves Nicole from a life of hell. He is an intriguing, mysterious character which I am a sucker for.

It was a good read.

This author can certainly write scenes of erotic tension! My favourite aspect of this short book was the dynamic between Nicole and Tyler and how this played out between them, culminating several times in steamy scenes. It's not all straightforward, both have demons to overcome and grapple with. There's the added interest of Tyler's brother who adds humanity to a difficult situation. I would probably have liked more show and less 'tell' and a bit more of an interesting plot line - however, this was overall an enjoyable read.
