Loving You: An Atlanta Love Story

Rate this book
Star, Scorpio, Harmony, and Sage are four young people dealing with the trials and tribulations of love in the big city. They each have been through situations that were designed to knock them down, but they are determined to overcome the pain of the past and build bright futures.

Scorpio aka Ryan, is just trying to get it for his daughter and survive. The only problem is his daughter’s mother, Kema. She doesn’t know how to accept that their relationship is done and in the past. When Scorpio meets the beautiful young Star, he is smitten, and is willing to trade it all to build a life with her. But will Kema allow that to happen?

Sage wants to find someone he can build with, and when he stops looking, she falls right into his lap. Harmony is the best thing that has ever happened to him, but he soon learns that love isn’t as simple as he thought.

Sage and Scorpio are two young bosses running the streets of Atlanta and dealing with the casualties of life, with Star and Harmony along for the ride. These young couples learn early on that it ain’t worth it without the people you love holding you down in the end.

I have picked this book up and put it down several different times and tonight I was determined to sit my behind down and continue reading until I was finished. For the most part I'm glad that I finally focused and was able to get into the story. In this book Ms. Sierra Nicole introduces us to Star, Harmony, Scorpio and Sage. First and foremost let me say KUDOS to you for using names that I haven't seen a million and one times in various books. The plot of the story really wasn't bad and like I previously stated for the most part I was entertained. The girls, Harmony and Star truly were in a situation that I wouldn't wish on any teenager just finding their identity while trying to hold down responsibilities that some grown women still haven't mastered. They both showed a resilience and strength of character that is too often missing in young ladies in this age bracket. Sage I really liked. His personality from the very beginning spoke of a man that was about his business and willing to love hard while showering his chosen lady with all of the love and loyalty that he too required to be reciprocated. Scorpio was likeable as a person but as a significant other in my opinion....NOT SO MUCH. I recognize that many of his shortcomings and missteps were a direct result of the absence of his biological mother but for him to have reached the age of 24 and still be unable to realize that this was something that he couldn't continue to sweep under the rug if he wanted to make a loving and lasting relationship was absolutely frustrating to watch unfold. If I had to choose a favorite character in the book it would have to be Star. Her head was on right, she seemingly thought through her decisions prior to acting, and she genuinely cared about the well-being of everyone around her. She carried herself with more class and grace than some 20 year olds which was clearly evidenced in the downright ratchet mannerisms exhibited by Kema. All in all I think that the author has a creative storyline and actually has the elements to make this a 5-star read. The reason for my rating has to do with the copious errors and name changes throughout the story. There were many instances where one character would begin speaking and by the end of the page someone else totally different was being referenced. This more than anything in my opinion, is what caused the distraction of being able to sit and read this book straight through. All in all the writer definitely has the skill-set to go far and more than enough talent to pull other readers into her literary spell. So with that being said, Kudos Ms. Sierra Nicole I look foward to being an observer as you continue to embark on your literary journey. Having read some of your other works I don't forsee this being the last rung on the ladder that you are seemingly consistently climbing. So readers give the read a chance I assure you those of you that sometimes wax poetic and nostalgic about those teenage love affairs long gone and forgotten will get a kick out of experiencing it all anew through the eyes of these interesting characters that Ms. Sierra Nicole has effortlessly fashioned from her poignant imagination.

Definitely a must read!!!!

This story was really good, I loved the storyline and the title definitely fit. I loved the drama, this story held my interest from the beginning to the end. I don't want to give the story away but I must say that Scorpio accepted Star for who she was and he would do anything to make her happy. Harmony and Sage now they were really in love. As I was reading this story I realized that it's not your typical hood love story, it was better than any love story out today. This is definitely a 5***** read and I can't wait for part 2 because the drama have just begun and I can't wait to see what happens. Sierra Nicole, you have done an awesome job on this one and I can't wait to read more.

Loving you

This was a great read. The storyline definitely fits the title. These two couples are examples of hood love at its best. Just like any couple , they have their share of ups and downs, and let's not forget about the drama. Of course there is secrets involved. This is good love, but not the typical hood love that I am used to reading. I was hooked from just reading the synopsis. I hope that I don't have to wait too long for part 2.

An okay read

Drama drama drama. Star and harmony make money by scamming others but meeting Scorpio and sage things change in their lives. Star and Scorpio have a lot in common but he's baby mom is going to be a issue for them later on especially since star is so much younger than him. Sage and harmony hit it off instantly but she holds back because of her home life. Hopefully part two is better

Ryan did got his self caught up.. I hope that him and Star can work it out. But she us probably going to be on the first flight out to that out of state college. I'm glad that Harmony decided to keep the baby. Sage really shows love for her and the fact that was able to forgive her means a lot. I can't wait for part two.

Star leave Scorpio alone. Kema is a mess and you can tell she loves drama. I hope Harmony is okay. I love Sage for her. I'm wondering in all the books I read is asparagus the Authors favorite dish?
