This MC took me in when no one else would. It was the only real family I’ve ever known. Her asking me to leave was bullshit, but then disappearing without even saying goodbye was so much worse.
I was done with Maggie then. I never wanted to see her face again.
Five years. Five years of anger, pain and regret. Five years to move on and forget.
And five seconds to get sucked back in.
MAGGIE
I have no right coming back here. No right asking for help. Not after the way I left everything - the way I left Jase.
But what choice do I have? I’m dead if I don’t.
I’ve made so many bad choices in my life. Caused so much pain. Maybe I deserve what’s coming to me. What right do I have putting Jase, my father, and the whole MC in danger just to help me?
The MC is Jase’s sanctum, and I may not deserve it, but I’m praying that it can now become mine.
Book 2: Retribution Will
I was a different man two years ago. I was soft, too easy-going.
Look where that got me. Death and destruction, and all of it my fault. I wasn’t going to let that happen again.
Now all I wanted to do was fight, drink and fuck.
I couldn’t imagine that anything short of retribution for the past could make me want to turn back into the man I was before.
I certainly never imagined someone like Eva…
Eva
When my brother and I moved to this small little town to take over my Uncle’s bar, I thought that it was just going to be like a little mini vacation from our lives.
What I didn’t expect was to be threatened almost as soon as we got there. And I certainly didn’t expect protection from that threat to come from a man like Will Bowers.
Dark, violent and completely gorgeous. He’s the complete opposite of the type of guy I’m usually attracted to, but then again, I’ve never met a man like him before. My instinct tells me to stay far away, but at the same time, I can’t ignore the feeling that there is more to him than his rough exterior. I see something behind all of that pain in his eyes. Something that draws me forward.
Besides, my friend Laura is always telling me that I spend too much time with my head buried in my books, and that I need to actually lift it up and live a little.
Maybe she’s right, but I don’t think this is what she had in mind.
Book 3: Vindication
From what I can tell, Ghost is one of the most ruthless members of the Black Dogs MC. He seems to take a certain pleasure in violence and mayhem, and he has a wit that is just as sharp as any of the blades he carries. He’s also about as arrogant and infuriating as any man I’ve ever met, and has women fawning all over him wherever he goes. But for some reason, he seems to think that I’m his soulmate. He calls me his Valkyrie, and he shows up, unbidden, at the most inopportune times. Like when I’m trying to teach my class full of private school kids.
Wow this set is awesome because you get 4 great story of bad boy bikers and their old ladies. You can get my individual reviews on each books in its individual book. Enjoy
This is a good series. The characters are interesting, intense and entertaining. The story lines are well laid out and strong. The bonus book was a nice treat.
I haven't found a book yet that I did not like. This is a book to read. I love that I can get books in a series. I recommend this to anyone that likes to read about MC's.
I loved reading about Jase and Maggie. Ghost, Will, and Henry were all added bonuses. I loved watching Maggie and Henry's relationship grow to what it should have been her whole life. It took a strong man, Jase, to show them how to truly care for each other. Jase and Maggie hurt each other, and loved each other so fiercely that no amount of hurt could erase that love. They worked through a lot and showed that nothing could keep them apart. They fought, they loved, and they made it through to work it out, which is what helped Maggie and Henry get along so much better. Will and Eva are another story completely. She was a shy meek woman while he was ruthless in everything he did, he did not care about himself or anything or anyone and was on a down hill spiral. Meeting Eva by chance was the best thing to ever happen to Will, he needed her more than he knew and there was no denying it. She was scared of him at first, but then saw the real Will beneath his facade. They brought out the best in each other, and nothing kept them from showing the other what they needed to see. Ghost and Bridget are perfect for each other, she never backed down from him, and I think that was a first as he is an intimidating man. She saw through his tough guy act and so did Toby. She was so used to being on her own because no man could ever handle her and her past, until Ghost. He showed her what a real man is, and also helped her help one of her students that desperately needed help. The way they all pooled together to help each other, even when they were mad at each other was amazing to see. That does not happen much in my life, so to see that it can happen even if in a book is great to see.
The first book is Jase's story's. This book was good but didn't quite feel that it could be all it could be. I felt some bits were rushed and although the plot was enjoyable I felt some thing were missing. The second book is Will's story. This was more like it. Will is living under a black cloud and is hell bent on destroying himself. This is until he is in the right place at the right time and things start to look up. The plot was enjoyable and a great read. The third book was Ghosts story. This had me laughing out loud at his antics and one liners. He is definitely the joker of the pack until Bridget comes along and he finds what he has been missing. This deals with some deep issues and a dramatic rescue. This by far was the best book of the bunch. I only hope there is more to come!!
The first three books are from the Black Dogs Motorcycle Club: Sanctum-Jase and Maggie. Retribution- Will and Eva. Vindication- Ghost and Bridget. Each book incorporates a separate couple, the trials of the club and life, with plenty of sex scenes, violence and pinches of humour. Collectively, for 99p, they weren't a bad buy...not brilliant but readable...Unlike the fourth separate book ' The Desperados'. Had I have read this trash first I wouldn't have bothered with the rest...in fact, I couldn't get beyond a few chapters...it certainly spoiled this box set.
Jase's story is good. I liked the story, I just did feel the chemistry when they made up. That just sort of felt rushed. Now book 2 was Will's story and that was just excellent. The author had me feeling every heartbreak and head over heels hot love. Just excellent. My favorite was book 3 which was Ghost's story. It was filled with humor, hot chemistry, and touching rescue of abused secondary characters, and a biker who realizes it's not nice to lie. Overall. A really worthwhile read of an excellent boxed set
This is my first time reading stories by Sienna Valentine. I loved all three stories in this bundle. Jace and Maggie's story is first. Will and Eva's is next and finally Ghost and Bridget. Each story was hotter than the previous story. This bundle also had an added bonus story called Desperados. This was Dax and Madison's story. They started off hot and heavy and it went up from there Madison did a lot of exploring with Bambi and her new biker chick friend Trish.
These books had a lot of potential the first one was slow the story of Jase and Maggie was a figment of my imagination to start the books off then they for better with wills story and ghosts story which was the best and most intense of them all. The story could have been flushed out a little more as stand alone a but all in all a good read.
I love box sets. Even though each book was a separate story, they also went along with each other like a series. The author wrote each story so I felt I was right there with the characters. Each character were strong in their own right, however, I feel the character, Ghost, brought an entirely unique flavor to the books. I don't know the last time I laughed so hard and so often.
I hate to say this but I thought this was gonna be another erotica MC book with more Sex than story. Yes there is sex but there is a lot of great story. The girls aren't clueless idiots either like a lot of MC Books.
Each book in this set starts out great but starts to drag about the middle. I found myself struggling to finish each book. Not the down & dirty MC books I'm use to.
What a great read, I loved every word, and loved José and Maggie, Will and Eva, and Ghost and Bridget. Their stories were all different, but they were all sexy and funny with a lot of drama and suspense. A set worth rereading.
I liked Jase & Maggie's story (3.5 stars) Will & Eva's took me forever to get through (2 stars) Ghost & Bridget I loved! He's hilarious & the story had a good flow (4 stars)
