I thought I would love this. I loved the premise, but it became tedious for me to read even with all the twists and revelations. The heroine annoyed me. The hero...I am not sure what his deal was or is. I guess book 2 is supposed to reveal that but I am going to pass.

Serena is an empath who is asked by her boss to meet Slade and find out if he is telling the truth about not being responsible for killing his business partner. Serena is ordered to live with Slade for one week. She is asked not to read anything about him since her manager wants her to come up with her own assumptions. However, Serena explains that it is hard since Slade's life is in every magazine and newspaper. However, Serena, makes assumptions before she even arrives.

I think Serena is meant to be a caring, kind heroine but she came off as a little spoiled brat. She gets two dogs and does not even ask her roommates if that is okay. She is a vegan and assumes that everyone is to cater to her eating habits. I can go on and on. She says she is not judgmental because she feels other people feelings, but I think she was the most judgmental person. And I love how she is supposed to be all ethical, but sleeps with her client (Slade) a day and half after meeting him.

I would have given this story a half star if possible. The premise sounded good and I kept waiting for the story to make sense. The heroine has sex almost immediately upon meeting her client, who she doesn’t trust, doesn’t believe, and who said, “Sure I’m capable of murder.” A boss who pushes a new employee, our heroine, to go live with the suspected murderer for a week and our gal just goes along with it? Just so hard to swallow.

A big vocab doesn't equal quality writing

The main character is juvenile and narcissistic. The love interest is completely two dimensional. There are plots and characters eluded to but not explained. If the author write the words "nether region" once she wrote it 20 times. Droll. Premise was interesting though, could have been good

Serena who has "feelings" about people is sent to Slade's house to spend a week to get his story. Serena is having a hard time reading Slade as he tells his story and claims his innocence. They have an immediate connection and this seems to cloud her judgement! Serena starts uncovering clues that has to do with the mob and Slade warns her to back off! Will Serena listen to Slade? Is Slade guilty? This book is hot, and full of twists and turns! This is a book that is hard to put down! Don't miss this amazing series by Annie Jacoby!!!

Once again, Annie Jocoby has spun a tail full of surprises! This is what keeps me going back to Annie's books - you absolutely never know what will happen, so don't guess, just dive in and get caught up in the intrigue :) With Dangerous Temptations, Annie keeps us guessing on who-dun-it and why right up until the end of this book when many, but not all, secrets are revealed. I love that Annie's has brought her readers new stories containing characters introduced in previous books and she also gives cameo appearances to other beloved characters from previous books to keeps us up to date on what's going on in their lives. It makes you wonder who will be starring in her next Series! If you are already an Annie fan, don't fret - you will love this series. If you are new the world of Annie Jocoby, sit back and enjoy the ride!

A good fast moving book which is both hot and kinky in the sex it portraits . Our heroin has hang ups from her past and so has the hero billionaire and the beginning of the tale is about there handling of these hang-ups. The story has plenty of twists and turns and some unexpected happenings . It's well written and entertaining so the only anti is that it ends in a cliff hanger. Recommended read along with book two in the series .

There's a lot going on in this book and it's quite a ride! High profile murder case, empathic almost lawyer, mobsters, romance, controlling billionaire, kidnapping...it's all in here. I really like the story but it does end abruptly as it is just the first in a series. If you don't like waiting to finish the story then you need to wait for all of them to be published. I will definitely be waiting on pins and needles to read the next installment.

I thought it was a good suspenseful story. Very interesting but I don't like cliffhanger books and shy away from them really fast. It can be an exceptional story but I can't keep my attention on it as I know I won't get an ending, just left hanging. If you like cliff hangers than this will be a good story for you. If you can't get the rest of the series or at least some of it from kindle unlimited I don't like it as I can't afford to keep spending that much money on one book. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it either. You won't be disappointed. I can't wait to read more of this series as well.

Wow, this is a real psychological thriller. I had no idea things would play out the way they did and that is exactly the kind of book I love!! I hate it when sometimes books are so easy to figure out. I do have to warn that it does end on a cliffhanger. Great book from a new to me author that I am going to read more of!!

Wanted to love the book, but couldn't really get into it. Didn't like the lead character--she just got on my nerves. And this is coming from someone who has close friends that are vegan empaths. So yeah...unfortunately I won't be continuing the series.
