The sexy alpha finds it amusing when the feisty earthling struggles to resist his charms. And this only makes Thren wonder how this struggle translates on the bed…
Bethany Coulter is a young scientist who has just accepted the once-in-a-lifetime position working at the world renowned Margwall Space Exploratory Operation. Determined to please her eccentric boss, Beth agrees to spearhead a research mission on a strange and isolated planet.
From the start, the mission quickly turns out to be much different than she expected. Not only are the ‘primitive’ humanoid creatures that she was prepared to encounter super intelligent, but one, in particular, happens to be undeniably attractive.
Thren, the future commander of the entire Asreen population, cannot resist the fact that Beth has presented herself as his ideal mate. All of his years of searching are quickly swept aside at the moment he lays eyes on her. Determined to have her as his mate, a heated battle of wills takes place between the strong, dominant alien and the vibrant, but stubborn human.
When questions start to rise about the true purpose of her mission, can Bethany discover the truth without putting herself or her friends in danger?
Or will she be forced to confront that fact that perhaps Earth isn’t as perfect as she had been led to believe?
And most importantly...
What will happen when a seemingly feeble yet stubborn human female is owned by a devastatingly sexy alien warrior?
Enjoyable story. Only noticed one typo. :-) Maybe this was technically erotica, but it was pretty tame, consensual, etc. Cute romance. Available on Kindle Unlimited as of this date.
I first thought I wouldn't enjoy this story because it was so short compared to the average book out there. But I am glad i gave it a chance! It didn't felt rushed and the story run naturally. Highly recommended
It's a good read, a bit far fetched but that's why we read these books, right? Likeable characters, nice heat between the main characters and of course requisite bad guy. Pretty good series, finishing the rest now.
Bethany and Thren. Did a lot of skimming as it was pretty boring and predictable and not particularly romantic. Bethany is sent to an alien planet to gather data on the the indigents. Right from the start it is glaringly obvious that things aren't as her boss said they were, but she just ignores the facts. She's supposed to be a really smart scientist, but she is pretty stupid when it comes to making observations. Another case of the author saying it's so, but it just isn't. She spends her time pushing Thren away and Thren finds this amusing in his condescending 'silly little human' way. Really, there was nothing likable about either MC, and there were no entertaining side characters to read about either. The whole story made very little sense.
This story was so intriguing that could not put the book down. Beth was a very interesting character her sassiness to the one personal who was her mate and who she was there to study. She didn't know that her boss was wanting to destroy the new planet and species that inhabited it. The kings son wanted Beth from the time he laid eyes on her, he even fought for her. This series from Zena Zion has really intrigued me to read more of her work. She has out done herself on the characters and how they react to each other plus learn from one another. The world of in which out characters these characters are from you want to visit yourself. I look forward to reading more of this authors work.
ZENA definitely captures some of the bad characteristics of humans as well as the wonderful sides. A great start to thisi can be a standalone but I recommend you check out the entire series as it continues!ih This series with great world building and suspenseful moments that leads you through the meeting of two species as well as the joining of her charismatic main characters. ABSOLUTELY Enjoyable READING,although I would have liked it longer because I would have liked to see what their children's birth would have brought and created new situations. I Totally recommend you check out for yourself and enjoy this book!
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. The write up doesn't do this quick read justice. Beth is sent to meet the leader of Asreen. Her mission is to study them and learn as much as she can from the "primitive" aliens. Upon meeting them her transmissions to earth are disabled and she cannot reach her home.
I thought Beth's first meeting with Thren was so cute. She inadvertently asks him to stand up for her not knowing exactly what that means.
I like how even though it was a quick read, time passed by for the characters. It wasn't just immediate with them. Which sometimes happens in such short reads.
This one got me, I'm definitely interested in the next one.
Wow ! What a lovely story... I thoroughly enjoyed this story line... The conflict, the love, and the persistence in both characters. Great job in the telling of this tale. I can't wait for the next story from this author . If you like a good alien romance this is definitely the story for you.
I liked the fact that an earth female scientist travels to an unknown planet and there she meets her mate Thren. It was an easygoing story but I felt it was rushed and if it weren't for this I could have given it five stars instead of the three. I'm still intrigued and therefore I am about to read the next book in this series.
I really enjoyed this book. It was well written, and proof read. So many of your kindle book are not. I will be looking forward to reading the rest of the series
This has a unique concept. I really enjoyed 80 percent of the book. Then it got rushed or something and lost its spark It's a good read. It just could have been a really good read
This is a very short story. It would've been nice to have gotten a little more information on the characters , as they seem fairly interesting. It was an okay story.
good for a quick read. not a whole lot of substance but makes the point. sensual scenes are very short and bland. if I didn't have ku i would have been disappointed for paying for this.
This was just an okay read for me. We have a human woman who is sent to an alien planet and his basically taken captive. I did not like that part at all.
