First off, let me tell you that ONCE TASTE is a cliff hanger. A sweet, heartbreaking cliff hanger. It is the prequel to what will be the full story of Luke Collins and Lara Jacobs's relationship, called LAST CHANCE, which will be available this August.
** Lara Jacobs has always felt something for motocross racer, Luke Collins. But Luke isn't a relationship guy. Lara fights her feelings, till one night out with Luke, she finally gives in to her feelings and desires.
Luke Collins can have a different woman in his bed every night. But he wants Lara. He's always wanted Lara. Finally tearing away her worries and concerns regarding him, he gets her in his bed. Lara gives Luke a chance to prove he's changed, and unfortunately Luke fails, losing Lara before he really ever had her. **
While all of L.P. Dover's A Second Chance series can be read as a stand alone,I think you'll need to read INTERCEPTING LOVE, which tells a good amount of Luke's back story, and Lara thrown in here and there. It'll give you more of an understanding why Luke is the way he is.
ONE TASTE does a great job setting up Luke and Lara's story. Even for a very short story, nothing was rushed, nothing was missing, or left you wondering. Except the end, where it's cliff hanger. But that just makes excited for the rest of the story. Both, Lara and Luke, seem to be very strong willed and I'm excited to see what will happen between them.

As she's walking, her knight in shining armor rides up on his motorcycle. Only he's no ordinary knight. He's the object of her crush and the one man she didn't want to see. Luke offers to take her for gas and after a heated debate, she accepts.
Now if you think I'm going to give you the whole story, you're mistaken. If you love romance, this is a book you should read... I have been a devourer of L.P. Dover for a couple of years now and I have fallen in love with every one of her books. From Fae to MMA, from Wolves to Motocross. L.P. writes with a passion that is hard to miss.

There is just something about the characters in this series from LP Dover that I adore! Lara Jacobs is feisty and smart and tired of douchebags. There's just one problem, she's totally hung up on Luke Collins even if she doesn't want to be because she's watched him be a total douchey manwhore. So what happens when Luke convinces her to give him a night? And if they give in to their attraction will Luke stay or fall back to his old ways? Well I'll just say that I loved their continued dance of avoidance in Catching Summer and can't wait for their final dance in Last Chance! So good!

I got to read One Taste with L.P. Dover's Last Chance and this is my review for both.
Luke and Lara have a whole heap of things trying to get in the way of their love. As much as Luke has been a typical male jerk when he doesn’t get his way in the beginning, he never loses sight of his love for Lara. I didn't expect Lara's struggle. There is so much I wish I could write but I don't want to give the story away.

I loved this read, I could not put it down. The characters are awesome and you feel as though you know them personally. The story will grab you and not let you go, and when you are finished you want to know more about these characters and what will happen next. The book moved along at the perfect pace, not to fast nor to slow, making it the perfect read. This book has got to be read, there is no doubt about it.

An enjoyable prequel to Lara and Luke's story Last Chance. In which the fateful night Lara and Luke spend together is told as is part of the aftermath when Luke panicking over his feelings for Lara ends up pushing her into the arms of friend and restaurant co owner Grayson.
This story is certainly worth a read especially if you are about to read Last Chance or have read Catching Summer (Which is when this takes place and that left you intrigued and wanting more of this very likable pair.)

I would love to give it more stars. I am not a major fan of cliffys. This short story had a major cliffy. I cannot wait for this novel. I need more of Lara and Luke now. I was drawn into the story.
LP describes the summer in Carolina's PERFECTLY. The heat between the characters can also rise the temperature of the reader as well.

Catching Summer is absolutely amazing!! LP Dover always seems to knock it out of the park and this book is no exception. Evan and Summer are the cutest couple and who wouldn't love to have a guy like Evan. I highly recommend that you read this book, you won't be disappointed.

Just like the title says, this was a taste of Luke and Lara's story. It was short and sweet with a heartbreaking start to their story. It will leave you wanting more. Yes this ends a cliffhanger and you will need to read Last Chance to find out their ending.

This is a a short novella that gives us the beginning of Luke and Lara. It shows us what happened between the two of them and how it ended. I can't wait to read the full length novel about them now.
