Funny. Shaggy-alien stories, ending in outstanding puns. Unfortunately out of print, and offered at outer-atmosphere prices used.

Don't open until you've read--this will spoil one of the best stories. Leftmost pun only (the others aren't from the book).

A fun read for those who enjoy playing with language. One finds 86 one-page (mostly) scene setting situations, many accompanied by an illustration, each concluded by a wonderfully contrived PUNch line. Pun haters may just move on, there is nothing here for them to see, others should be ready to combine their combined groan/chuckle reactions. The publishing info on this 1975 publication indicates that only three thousand copies were printed, so it is probably not readily available. The Penn State University has its copy in their rare book collection. Temple University, however, does have a circulating loan copy. All of these comedic sketches were originally published in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction back in the golden age of science fiction pulp magazines.

Additional entertainment is found here in the pun-laden introduction by science fiction author Poul Anderson.
