Really beautiful photojournalism about the planets many beautiful places. I had a bucket list item or two reinforced, and a few that I want to find more about - more photos, more essays about visiting them.

I love looking at the photos in these National Geographic books. This one was divided up by continent, and displayed photos of amazing locales on each continent. Also, there was info, ways to make travel plans to visit there and a little about the history of each place. Some of my favorites were Point Reyes California, Antarctica, the Nile Valley and the Skellig Islands. Those photos in particular were striking and amazing in their detail. They were places that were in turns remote, welcoming, ancient and wondrous. An around the world photo journey.

Absolutely beautiful photography. Not a guide I'd consult for necessary travel information, but good as a resource from which to draw inspiration for such a trip.

I love this book! I look at the pictures and read about the places once in while, especially now during corona when we can't go anywhere. Splendid!
