This book was my favorite of the Hotshot Heroes series. This book had action and spice. I loved every minute of the book.

This story centers around a guy named Cody Mallehan. He is working with the Hotshot Heroes but he is wanting to be a smoke jumper. He was in an orphanage as a young boy. He got adopted but always taken back. As he grew up people said that he was a ladies man, a skirt chaser, a bad boy which wasn’t true. His Hotshot Hero boss kicks him out of the firehouse in which he slept. He ended up at the boardinghouse which is owned by a woman named Serena Beaumont. Serena is working hard to hold on to her aging boardinghouse. She hopes one day to raise a family. She can’t afford to have thoughts about Cody. He is her newest boarder and the more time he spends with her he realizes that he doesn’t want to leave. There is also an arsonist on the loose. This book was entertaining and fun to read it did have spicy 🌶️ 🌶️🌶️ moments which I enjoyed. I loved reading this book !!!!!!

This is a Romantic Suspense, and this is the third book in the Hotshot Heroes series. I read the first two books in this series before I picked up this book. This book has a ton of action and suspense with some romance and steamy times mixed into it. I really enjoyed the characters of this book, and I loved the dog and the firehouse.

Interesting set up – great characters with very interesting back stories. Had great potential to be a 4 Star read for me in the first half as things were developing in the romance line and the story had flow. However, the latter parts of the book were sprinkled with sudden outbursts of emotional melodrama which made the story jarring and less enjoyable for me.

I know the story is about Hot Shot Fireman & Paramedics, etc but why have Books 2 & 3 in the series have as their culmination situations where the heroine is once again helpless and in mortal peril so the Hero can rush in and rescue her?

Cody is another Huron Hotshot...He lost his cabin when the arsonist struck in the last book. So he has been living in the fire house but they tell him he has to find somewhere else to live so he goes to a boarding house that Serena owns...He has thought how hot she was since he has known her....Sparks fly between them immediately...Cody falls in the shower and get a concussion..Serena finds him and sees him in all his nakedness and can't forget that....Than he sees her that way too...They finally give into their attraction even though Serena knows he always leaves...when they are called to a fire he lives and she thinks he took the job he has always wanted but he comes back and ends up saving her life..they finally declare their love for each other...another good book in the series
