Deliver an injured war dog to the woman of his very naughty dreams
Savannah "Van" Cantrell is the girl Ty Colson could never have. She's also the sister of his best friend—and blames Ty for his death in Afghanistan. The last thing Ty needs is a reunion with Van. Or a reminder of their too-potent chemistry.
Van wants to give her brother's dog a loving home, but seeing Ty means facing the anger, the blame and the electric current of sexual energy between them. And while Van trusts him to handle almost anything—including her body against his—she'll never trust her heart to a man determined to walk back into the line of fire.

I thought this was a very touching story about coping with grief after the tragic death of a loved one. When Van's brother is killing in the line of duty, she reluctantly agrees to take in his maimed K9, She's furious with her brother's best friend, Ty, and blames him for Ryan's death. Ty was always jumping into trouble without a second thought, and now he's still here, but Ryan is gone.
Ty, Van, and even the military dog, Kaia, work slowly through their grief. Ty blames himself for his best friend's death, and Kaia is suffering from PTSD after the violent explosion that killed her handler. Everyone deserved sympathy, making this an emotionally satisfying read.
I've had this book in my TBR (to be read) pile for a few months, and now that I've finally gotten to it, I truly wish I had bumped it to the head of the pack. Talk about sparks and well developed characters! I mean seriously, well done. With ZERO bogged down backstory, this author has shown every complex level of the characters so that in eight pages, you know, understand, recognize and feel each characters take on life. And it's all done seamlessly through the other characters eyes.
I've been in a reading funk. Handle Me took me out of it!
Kaia, the medically retired military dog, is brilliant. And masterfully woven in the story line...
I was in tears several times with the transition of master, mourner, the learning curve, the emotion inherent in every level of coping with the new, the loss, the shared angers from life's hard points.
No spoilers here. Just a HIGHLY recommended read. Sweet, tough, honest, and SUPER sexy. Strong heroine matched with alpha-as-needed male, and a brilliant dog character that made the story SO, SO, SO, very much real.
Great job. You are on my must read list from here out!
Warning: Military, family of military, this will be an emotional ride. Please be warned.
Ryan, Savannah's brother followed Ty into the services, both becoming K-9 dog handlers for the war in Afghanistan. The three grew up together, and Van(Savannah) and Ty have always loved each other, never admitting it to themselves. When Ty brings Kaia-Ryan's K-9 to Van after Ryan is killed in action, they explore a relationship. Kaia lost a leg trying to protect Ryan, this is a story all too real life, but with a happy ending. Lots of emotions, family, service, PTSD, comfort and love. Excellent story. 8 stars
Read the reviews! I just want to say how much I enjoyed this wonderful little category romance. It's a sexy military romance but it deals with very real issues facing our military personnel in war zones. Love love love Sinclair's writing style, too.
