I really enjoyed discovering this new-to-me author. It's a mystery with strong tones of legal and thriller elements. Jessica is a new lawyer with the Miami prosecutor's office; Zach is a rookie FBI agent who sometimes makes rookie mistakes. Both being new at their jobs made it possible to have unusual twists, like when they make an error and see in retrospect what went wrong.

Both characters are already strong Christians, so instead of a salvation message there are little comments about daily living that illustrate how they take their faith seriously.

Incriminating Evidence was a book I thought I had already read -- but, when I looked at my shelves and started the book, I could clearly see I hadn't yet. Oops.

I enjoyed the book. The characters were nice and the romance was woven into the story well. I thought there was quite a bit of danger/suspense, which is just what I want in one of these stories. ;) The legal aspect wasn't too heavy to where you couldn't follow the storyline and I liked that.

All in all, Incriminating Evidence was a good read and I continue to be a fan of Rachel Dylan's novels.

This was my first Love Inspired Suspense book to try. I’ll try a few others before I make a final judgment call, but it reminded me of a T.V. episode vs. a full length movie. Not too long, and not quite as pristine as a full novel (e.g. Rachel Dylan’s own, “Deadly Proof”). It felt like 80% of this book was dialogue, so I didn’t feel as connected to the characters. At the same time, I cannot say that they were undeveloped. Jessica had current goals as well as a tough inner struggle from her abusive childhood. Zach worked on instincts and had a lot of lessons to learn. Both were rookies in their fields, striving to do right in a very confusing mystery.

The mystery itself was intriguing. I didn’t quite piece together who all was working for who, but some things were slightly predictable. Overall I enjoyed it.

There were many references to Jessica’s and Zach’s faith in God throughout the book. The extent of it was mainly faith and prayers for protection, but it was consistent.

The romance was slow and not extremely emotional. There were a couple of kisses, some admission of falling in Love, but overall, it was chaste.

Because of Suspense, this would probably suit older conservative readers more than teens.

Incriminating Evidence was a great combination of action, romantic suspense, and legal thriller! The two main characters, Jessica and Zach, were both strong and smart. Both were young, yet found themselves in a very high profile situation against a powerful family.

I really liked both Jessica and Zach. Jessica’s backstory was particularly touching and made the successes that she’d achieved in her life even more impressive. One of the things that I especially enjoyed about Incriminating Evidence was watching Jessica work through the building of the case. The author is a lawyer and that really shines through in this story. I definitely recommend this novel for romantic suspense fans and fans of legal thrillers.

New release from Rachel Dylan!

Rachel Dylan has quickly become a favorite author for me and I love anything she writes. She always brings a great plot line that draws me in quickly and keeps me turning the pages.

Jessica Hughes lives in Miami, Florida and currently works for the Florida State Attorney's office. She grew up in foster care and worked hard to get her education with one goal in mind, to prosecute criminals and seek justice for innocent victims. She graduated 9 months ago and is currently working on the prosecution of Simon Hernandez, who is the son of a major crime boss. She was technically a junior prosecutor, but due to extenuating circumstances she was given the lead role. One evening after leaving work late she was attacked while trying to reach her car and given a strong warning about walking away from the Hernandez case.

Zach Taylor, FBI Special Agent, was notified by the Miami police department of Jessica's attack because he was assigned to work on the ongoing investigation of the Hernandez family. Zach was fresh out of Quantico so he had been working with a seasoned agent and this was every rookie's dream. It was decided that with such a visible threat to Jessica that the FBI would provide her with the security needed to ensure her protection. Suddenly the case takes on a new twist and suddenly the characters find things more complicated than they had imagined.

This is a wonderful suspense interlaced with a romance.

The story includes elements of suspense, romantic tension and faith. The plot flows effortlessly with twists and turns that will quickly draw you in and keep you turning the pages. With complex characters that are easy to love and an engaging plot line made for the best night of insomnia ever. This is a book I would recommend to anyone who loves suspense.

**I received this book from the author for a honest review without outside influence or bias.

This is a great read........ Jessica is a new Attorney with the DA office. She is receiving threats, over a case she is trying... The FBI is called in, Zach is a New FBI Agent assigned to protect her....

Jessica suffers from a bad childhood, it plays into why and who she is.... When she meets Zach she doesn't think the threat is real. However after things start to happen she takes the threat seriously.

Zach gets 24 hour bodyguard duty, He helps Jess with her case and keeping her safe. There is sparks between them, it is a great to read how this plays out.... Zach is a great man...

This book, is amazing read. Not only is there action, mystery, suspense there is romance but in a clean way, which somehow makes it hotter.

If you want, a book full of mystery and suspense and twists and turns and the main characters falling in love this book is for you... Zach knows about Jess past, he is very understanding with her.... This is just a great read all around...

Don't worry if your not a church person, I am not and this book and all these books from this author is a great read and not over the top religious....

I received this book in exchange for a honest review. I really wish I could give this more then five stars....

Will truth and justice prevail?

I've only read three of Rachel Dylan's books, so far, but I think Incriminating Evidence is my favorite one of them. From two characters just beginning their careers but with an unrivaled sense of justice and a strong faith to the twists and turns in this exciting story, each page is an enjoyable read.

Another fun thing about this book is the cover, it tells so much about the story and you can spend quite awhile just looking at all the little details. Love Inspired has some great cover designers to go with their great authors and great stories.

Incriminating Evidence is the perfect way to spend an afternoon puzzling through a mystery as Rachel Dylan lays out the facts and clues. It's another wonderful Love Inspired Suspense title from a talented author that you won't want to miss.

Incriminating Evidence by Rachel Dylan is a legal thriller with a touch of romance. Jessica is a rookie prosecutor who is being harassed as she begins the trial of the son of a major crime boss. Zach is fresh out of Quantico and is assigned to protect Jessica once the mob starts threatening her. Jessica is young and idealistic and is eager to do the right thing even if she has to risk her life.
The most refreshing thing about Incriminating Evidence is its deviation from your typical romantic suspense. Rachel creates characters that are human. I will not spoil any of the fun by explaining what they do to make them human.

Incriminating Evidence
By: Rachel Dylan

Incriminating Evidence by Rachel Dylan is a Love Inspired Suspense. Rachel Dylan has did it again. She has weaved a story that is so much action on top of action all through this story. It is full of so many twist and turns that will keep you turning the pages to see what is going to happen next. She had me hooked right from the start and did not let go till the end. A new prosecutor attorney with the DA office is going after a very powerful son of a crime drug boss. She needs protection , can Zack an FBI agent protect her from this powerful family? I really enjoyed this action packed suspense story and I know that you will too.

Rachel Dylan writes authentic legal stories. I very much enjoyed this book that keeps you guessing right to the end. Along with the story of a young Prosecuting Attorney (Jessica Hughes) and a young rookie FBI Agent (Zach Taylor) who gets mixed up with some very bad people, Ms Dylan gives us just the right amount of romance to go along with it all. If you enjoy good suspense this book will be well worth your while. This book was given to me by the Author with no requirement for a review. All views stated are my own.

Jessica Hughes is threatened as she’s been assigned a case against Simon Hernandez. Agent Zack Taylor is assigned to be her shadow, something she has no interest in. Another fast paced story set in Miami, where Zack is leery of someone, and Jessica is not, but which one is right? When someone comes forward can they trust the info? Both main characters are strong characters, doing what they can to bring down the Hernandez hold on the county. The action doesn’t stop until the end and plenty of intrigue and narrow escapes.

4.5 Stars!

Once again Rachel Dylan has delivered! This is a good solid legal suspense. Courtroom dramas are one of my favorite genres of books and this one curbed my craving. I love that a book can be full of suspense and mystery and even romance but not be filled with swearing and graphic sex. This is good clean edge-of-your-seat writing.

Great character development. I loved the rapport Jessica and Zach had. They both had good
personalities but they were great together. Jessica was such a strong person, never giving up, even being a rookie lawyer. She wasn't afraid to stand up, keep going and do her job even when threatened.
Zach was excellent at his job. He was a take charge kind of guy. He was in charge of her security, kept her safe but did so with finesse, understanding and with care. Of course little did he know he would fall for her.
I have to admit, I made a few character misjudgements while reading, there were a few surprises - I like that!

Even with the twists and turns, and there are a few - the plot stays strong. I didn't feel like I was being pulled in different directions. It kept its focus. It was direct and easy to follow.

And finally, I loved how Rachel very gently wove the romance in there. Very nicely done. It wasn't in-your-face, it was subtle and sweet. It felt real and believable, not rushed.
.
I believe this is my 5th book by Rachel Dylan - so yeah, you could say that I'm a fan! I am definitely looking forward to the next!

Incriminating Evidence is Rachel Dylan’s latest novel for Love Inspired Suspense. This novel has everything I have come to expect from Rachel — heart-pounding suspense with non-stop action, two characters with chemistry to spare and a faith thread that is naturally woven throughout the story. This one is a perfect choice to include in your pool bag this summer.

Prosecutor Jessica Hughes and FBI agent Zach Taylor are relatively new on the job. But what they lack in experience they make up for with determination, zeal and a strong sense of justice. They are thrown together when Jessica’s high profile case becomes a little too personal and she needs protection. With bad guys on both sides of the justice system, they have a hard time deciding just whom to trust.

Rachel packs a lot into her Love Inspired Suspense novels, despite their short length. Incriminating Evidence is first and foremost romantic suspense and there is plenty to please fans. But Rachel is also good at character development. Her main characters, Jessica and Zach, are real and relatable (despite their dangerous close calls!) and struggle with faith issues common to all. Both must overcome their inexperience on the job and learn to give God control over their lives. Rachel’s themes are always true to life — jessica and Zach’s childhoods have influenced their ability to trust men and God — something that many struggle with. So if you are looking for a quick, yet extremely satisfying read for a weekend getaway or staycation, Incriminating Evidence is a recommended read from me!

Recommended.

Audience: adults.

Jessica is the prosecutor in a high profile case when she gets attacked one night. She refuses to back down despite the violent warning and when she goes to the police for help, they assign FBI Special Agent Zach Taylor to personally oversee her security detail until the trial has been resolved.

I found it extremely interesting that Jessica is only recently out of law school and attempting to prove herself with this case. She's determined to see Simon Hernandez and his criminal family through to justice for their crimes. At the same time, Zach is also recently out of Quantico and this is his first assignment also. Both characters had a common bond instantly because of that :)

My FAVORITE part about this story is its location, it's in MIAMI!!

There is PLENTY of danger in this story, but there's much more discussion about the trial and making sure Jessica is safe no matter what. Zach makes a rookie mistake when the trial starts, but he did a stellar job of making sure Jessica didn't get hurt after the initial attack she received at the beginning.

I was really surprised at the villains in this one because they took risks attacking Jessica that made them seem desperate. Jessica also suffers from nightmares from her past that she gradually heals from. I didn't really connect with her like I do with a main character, but I enjoyed her story and was satisfied with the ending :)

Jessica is a new attorney and due to unforeseen circumstances she is handed a case that most prosecuting attorneys would die to have in there hands. When things start to get crazy she is put under protection of the FBI and is forced to face some of her toughest memories. Zach is fresh out of Quanitco and is looking to prove himself. When he is brought in on a case and is suppose to protect the main attorney he wonders if he's up for the task and if he will be able to protect them both and do his job to the best of his ability. When they both are tract down and keep being tracked down the wonder it there is something more sinister going on. Will they be able to bring justice and get the bad guys put away and stay alive or will things go array and everything blow up in there face?
At first I thought this book was some what predictable but just like any good book it just got better and things changed real quick. This book is completely captivating and will keep you guessing to the very end. I was completely surprised by the ending and thought it was going one way and it so did not happen that way. This book is a good clean romance and you really can not go wrong with it. I found it hard to put down and found it a really quick read. This book is so worth the read and so worth the purchase.

This is the third of Rachel Dylan's Love Inspired Suspense novels that I have read and reviewed, and she only gets better each time. Dylan immediately plunges the reader into Jessica's world and the danger she faces as she prosecutes a member of a notorious crime family and keeps the pace high as the novel progresses. While Jessica and the special agent protecting her are both new to their jobs, Dylan portrays them well, as occasionally making believable misjudgments but not naive, bumbling greenhorns. A captivating plot with plenty of twists and turns keeps the story moving along without being overly dramatic, and a bit of a surprise at the end added to the enjoyment and sense of justice. Grab your copy of Incriminating Evidence today, and check out other novels by this talented author.

Rachel Dylan has written another suspenseful thriller that had me turning pages. I appreciate her inspirational messages using characters who are flawed and have overcome traumatic experiences. This book is no exception. Her hero, who is a new lawyer wanting to make her mark as a prosecuting attorney is dealing with thugs associated with the mob. The hero, is a new FBI agent out to prove his worth trying to solve the case and to protect the new attorney. Attraction between the two exists but can a relationship survive death threats and childhood trauma? I highly recommend this book for you to find out, because it was an easy read and I really enjoyed it.
