An enjoyable read, but at times the book oddly sacrifices chronology, at times, for the sake of thematic story telling. A major gripe I have with this book is tonal; while it seems to be quite a definitive installation to Wimmer hagiography, it tends to have a spirit of defensiveness of its subject and a dismissal of or skepticism toward those who challenged his viewpoint.
