“Their past and present collided spectacularly, and as they collapsed onto the rug in a tangle of arms and legs, he wondered if they would ever be able to disentangle themselves long enough to find a new place to begin.”
“….we both know I won’t truly be home until I’m back between your sheets, Professor.”
“I want you. And I'm selfish enough to keep you for as long as you let me."
“He filled something inside him that he hadn’t even known was missing. Something he couldn’t quite put his finger on.”
“I needed to know if you remembered. Or if you’d moved on.”
“I couldn’t move on,” Daniel stressed. “You made sure of that. No matter what I did or who I did it with, you were always there. I always remembered. There wasn’t one single thing I ever forgot.”
“Who have I always belonged to? Who should I always be with?” Brantley knew exactly which point that was.
“Me, Finn. You’re mine and I’m yours. Always,”

"It's time to come home,Finn."

I want you. And I'm selfish enough to keep you for as long as you let me."

Now I'm right back where I was before I left."
"And where's that?"
"Tangled up in you," he whispered against his ear. "It's always been you."

...no matter how much he guarded his heart, he would never be able to stop himself from loving this man again. And the reason for that was simple.
He had never stopped in the first place.

“I want to forget. Forget how much it hurts when I’m not with you”

“Hmm… So, what lesson are you going to teach me today, Professor?”

“I’m here because you told me to come home. But we both know I won’t truly be home until I’m back between your sheets, Professor.”

"It's time to come home, Finn."
“I hate what you did to us. I hate that you chose how we should end. And I fucking hate that you decided that my life was better off without you.”
“He didn’t care if he was the one laying his soul open first. Didn’t care that he was handing his heart over to the man currently embracing him. All he cared about was getting as close to Daniel as he could, for as long as he could.”

« It’s been seven years since Daniel 'Finn' Finley left his hometown in Florida for the hustle and bustle of Chicago’s city life. ... Brantley Hayes has it all. Or so he thinks. When he first made the decision to take a job down in Florida ... »
“That,” Daniel interrupted, pointing at him as he took a step forward. “That’s the problem right there. I have no idea what’s true. Back then and now. God, Brantley. Seven years. It’s been seven fucking years since I’ve seen or heard from you, and the second I got your note, everything I’d ever convinced myself was bullshit came crashing back in.”
It's time to come home, Finn.

"Touch him, fuck him, and then forget him."

"It's my turn to make you beg."

"When the two of them were together like this—naked, souls bared to one another—nothing else existed."

Closing his eyes, he ordered himself to enjoy this to the very end. To be greedy and let it swallow him whole and take him under. That was the only way he would be able to go on once it spat him back out the other side.
The memory of such sweet perfection.
“Finn,” Brantley sighed as he brushed his lips over the top of his. “You slay me.”
“I have to tell you, I’m trying to take this slow—you know, the whole let-us-get-comfortable-with-one-another again. But, fuck, it’s hard—so damn hard. When all I can think about is the first time I’m going to slide inside you and how deep I’ll have to go so I’ll forget what it was like when I wasn’t a part of you.”

“I couldn’t move on,” Daniel stressed. “You made sure of that. No matter what I did or who I did it with, you were always there. I always remembered. There wasn’t one single thing I ever forgot.”

“I love having you like this. It’s such a fucking rush. You under me. Just like you were always supposed to be.”
“I didn’t come here to talk, and you didn’t send for me for my witty conversation. So how about we drop the act and get to what we both want.”
“I know what you need [Brantley]. But I want you to tell me. I want to hear the first time it falls off your tongue.” “You,” he rasped. “I want to feel you inside me. Finally taking me. I need you… Now.”
“I love my teacher.”
“I know. And he loves you,” he said.
And those six words forever changed the course of his life.
